The Ivy Asia Leeds in Leeds

It was my first visit & it was amazing. The staff were all super friendly, knowledgeable about products, and good with recommendations. Two staff members stood out with excellent customer service, Simran and Charlie.

Amazing decor plus a fun menu. The staff are extremely attentive and you will love the experience they deliver. As a group of 4, all of us really enjoyed our visit and the ambiance in this delightful, high-end venue.

First experience at Ivy Asia this summer. Love the decor, service is good, food delicious, but the music was really too loud with a more of a club atmosphere, great for later in the evening but we ate at about 8pm and it was impossible to chat. Staff kindly turned the music down as we seemed to be seated under the speaker. Better experience after that but it did rather spoil the beginning.

Took my cousin for dinner on Friday the workers were really friendly got ourselves a table for two ordered the small explorer meal for £48 but wen the bill came it was £138 which l feel like was a scam

Went to this fabulous restaurant yesterday. The food was the best i have ever tasted and beautifully presented. atmosphere and service outstanding. A big thank you to Jasminder, who was so attentive and kind! we were celebrating my end of radiotherapy treatment, she was aware of this and brought out a dessert with a congratulations chocolate. There were several beautiful touches of kindness. Jasminder and her manager made this occasion so memorable… I will definitely be coming back ❤️

Visited today Tuesday 9th May 2023, Dec looked after us. What an amazing experience. The food made our mouths explode....decent portions, not a lot of choice, but shat was offered was excellent. Great service fron Dec, he really knew his stuff,, and made us feel very welcome. Great customer service can make or break an experience. Dec excelled and made the experience. 10/10.

I’ve always been a fan of Ivy Asia but unfortunately their quality has gone downhill as of late. We visited today, asked for two cokes and were served completely flat drinks. Informed the staff who very kindly and promptly replaced them only for the replacements to be just as flat. They tasted exactly like they’d been poured out of a big 2L bottle. I ordered the miso cod which has always been my go to, normally it’s served in a beautiful domed leaf, seasoned to perfection but today it was bland and just served on a plain white plate with a side of sauce. The massaman curry again, was pretty bland. On the plus side the service from the waiting staff was just as efficient and friendly as always. Considering a trip to Ivy will set you back at least £120 for two people, you’d expect them to maintain a high quality but unfortunately after being loyal and happy customers for a few years, today was extremely disappointing.

Definitely not worth the price but if you’re not too bothered about the quality of food and just want a posh night out it’s ok.

Finally I went to this place for my birthday, the service was awesome, the price is fine for this type of place, but you need to book it as it gets very busy. Ok so the food, we ordered many dishes and they were very nice, excellent place with a nice range of dishes, very fresh, but personally I would reduce some of the mint from the sea bass dish as it's very overpowering. The only thing I could fault was there were no draught beers on only bottles. I recommend this place.

The food was lovely and the staff where brilliant

The venue and service are excellent (although be aware they add a 12.5% service charge to your bill for that). The food however was disappointing and very underwhelming. We went for the premium festive experience which is £60 per person, you don't get loads but I suppose just enough to not leave still hungry. I was waiting to go 'wow' when I ate something but it didn't happen. The wagyu beef starter with truffle just tasted weird and not nice at all, the rest of the dishes were just OK. Wouldn't go back again for a bill of just over £140 with no drinks (apart from a bottle of still water at £5).

Food was amazing, served by Ollie who was very helpful and walked us through the menu with extensive knowledge. Came over often to check on us and how we were getting on even though it was so busy when we were eating. 10/10 service.

Lovely food and service but music too loud and a little chilly later on...

We were on a coach trip and just wanted a drink went to this restaurant and it is stunning. The bar staff were brilliant and so friendly put you at ease straight away. Next trip to Leeds will def go there Thought it was too posh for us but they were brilliant and made us welcome. Thank you so much x

Loved our first visit to Ivy Asia; the food, the service, the decor and the music all make for a unique dining experience. As with all Ivy restaurants, the staff are professional and our server had some fun interaction with us which was great! We had the dining experience and the food is first class and we had to take some dessert home with us as there was so much food. It was good value though and we didn’t want to waste any! We’ve told our friends about Ivy Asia and how good it was, you won’t be disappointed when you visit.

An absolutely lovely evening. Food was excellent as was the service and Sarah was very attentive and friendly. Our fist time but definitely not our last thank you .

Very impressive decor, and a nice welcome. We were a few minutes late but still we had to wait for our table. Once we got seated we were assigned a very attentive waiter who was very friendly and very keen to please, but was hard to hear over the loud thumping music. We ordered, and the service was very quick. The food was very nice, everything we ate was delicious, but we both felt it wasn't really worth the price tag. Overall very nice, but the price puts it up against some of the best restaurants in Leeds and it isn't as good.

Great food and atmosfere but sticky table.

£87.13 for 2 Sunday dinners . We got frozen Yorkshire pudding and frozen potatoes that you buy from Morrison’s freezer place warmed up . Normally it’s fresh this was a joke sorry I never like to complain but that is taking the money off people that’s not work £20 . I will call again as normally food is fresh but ever serve me warmed up food again and I’ll pull the chef and you . As I feel like I’ve been laughed at with this service.

The afternoon tea is an interesting concept and the amount and variety meant that we can try a bit of different things which is nice way of spending the afternoon especially when the weather is a bit gloomy with days getting darker earlier.

The service was poor – we had booked a table for five and when we got to the table, it was two tables which they then asked if we wanted them pushing together – of course we did! We had the experience menu but the dishes were not explained as they came out. When I asked if they could explain the dishes, the waiter awkwardly gave me a brief explanation looking at me and ignoring the rest of the table. The music isn’t ideal, I understand they are trying to appeal to younger demographic but when you can’t hear the conversation from the person sitting opposite, the music is probably too loud. The food was okay but certainly doesn’t live up to what you would expect from an Ivy restaurant. I would suggest they need to spend more money on training their staff than lighting their floor. And the life-size figure they have standing at the urinal was just plain weird.

We were here for a joint Birthday Celebration. Firstly the entrance is very opulent. As the name suggests the decor reminiscent of a Chinese dynasty inspired decor with beautifully lit floors and subtle lighting. This was my first time to the Ivy Asia so after hearing lots of good things about the restaurant I was expecting great things. The upstairs restaurant was amazing with a beautifully lit green floor, and soft lighting. The service was excellent, and the staff were always on hand to top up the wine glasses. The food was very nice but looking forward to trying other dishes in the future. The atmosphere was interesting too. Albeit, the music a little loud, but all good. We all had a good night. Big thank you to the staff for looking after us on this social occasion. Highly recommended.

Booked a table but when we arrived the table wasn’t ready and we were told to wait in a queue in the lobby. Any decent restaurant would welcome you in and ask you to wait in the bar. Very poor welcome. We left and went to a proper restaurant where they treat the customers properly.

We had the dragon set lunch menu. Great price at £19.95. Good selection to choose from the food was delicious. Nice cocktails. Service was on point. Really colourful, vibrant restaurant. Will return to try more of the menu.

We went to The Ivy for breakfast. Couldn't fault it at all. Was quite surprised how reasonable the breakfast was compared to other places we had been. There was an extensive menu to choose from. 3 of us had the full English which was too big for me to finish and the other person had eggs benedict. It was all served nice and hot on beautiful crockery and lovely finishing touches to the table. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend if you want breakfast somewhere a little bit classy.

The waiter named Tanvi was really helpful, she explained me what to eat and I loved what she recommended, would definitely visit again and again!

We were here to celebrate my 60th Wow!!! It was amazing from start to finish. The staff were all so professional but very approachable. The food was just superb. We had the Ivy Asia experience which it most certainly was. Giorgia our waitress was brilliant as was all the other team member who served us. Thank you for a memorable evening.

Visited several Ivy restaurants previously, but this was another level. Welcomed by very friendly staff on the door and shown to table (upstiars). Fabulous decor. We opted for the fixed menu, and being a four, we all chose differently. Without exception, each dish was tasty and well presented. Our table waitress was friendly and informative without being pushy to get us to leave despite the restaurant being full (even on a Sunday evening).

Always an amazing dining experience here, the food, cocktails & service are outstanding. Special thanks to Larry our server for making the experience all the more enjoyable !

Yesterday went with friends to get desserts and drinks, i had the green lantern it was a nice cheesecake, however the hit chocolate !!! Was horrible it tasted i like powdered water ! No sign of milk in the hot chocolate , i can say one of the worst hot chocolates ever! But the design of the place is really nice and vibey, however the smell inside isnt the best as well im afraid, very fishy.

The customer service, attention to detail, decor, presentation and food here is simply exceptional. Our server was knowledgeable and took my gluten allergy seriously (they even added tooth picks labelled “allergy” so what I could eat was clearly labeled). I even got my own soy sauce :) Well worth the wait and pricey date night! Book a res in advance. Can’t wait to go back!

Dining at Ivy Asia was a fantastic experience! My favourite place to visit in Leeds. The food is simply outstanding—each dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. Very nice decor but the music is loud as if you're in a club even though we were there for 5.45pm which isn't late - so it actually ruined the ambience of the place and meant you had to raise your voice to be heard by others. More relaxing ethnic music up to a certain time in the evening would have matched the Asian theme better. The staff were very polite which was good. As for food, the restaurant has many halal options which was nice to see clearly on the online menu. The rice, noodles and warm small plates (like popcorn shrimp and glazed chicken) tasted better than the cold maki rolls (which were similar to store bought sushi unfortunately). The 'rose of the orient' mocktail was meant to have many flavours but it tasted the same as a rubicon lychee fizzy drink so costs more than what you get.

Excellent experience all round. The food was stunning, the staff were attentive, and the surroundings were fabulous and bonkers. A real treat.

Thanks to all the team for making my family celebration last night a success - everything was good but the service was exemplary; friendly, down to earth, warm and welcoming. We all felt at ease but each request was dealt with like you cared. Congratulations to everyone who looked after us.

It was the perfect birthday meal out. I am so happy to have dined here as everything was fantastic from the moment we walked in and ordered some drinks, the service was fabulous and the food was beautiful 😍 I enjoyed everything ☺️ thank you for such a lovely evening, I will definitely be recommending here and returning soon.

The food was good, I really enjoyed the creme brulee pudding and its decent for groups to try lots of different foods. The decoration looked impressive but at closer look many parts were tatty such as ripped wall paper in the toilets. The music is too loud and the lights too dull to see the food and menu properly. The service was very poor. We felt like our server had pretty much forgotten about us and never around when we needed help. The food and drinks took a long time to come and then some of it came out cold. For the price you are paying, you expect so much better. I won't be recommending or rushing back any time soon.

First time visiting and will be back. The restaurant is beautiful, service excellent and food superb. One dish was cool and they replaced it straight away. Took it off the bill too. For men there’s an eerily realistic Samurai in the gents that looks too real. It was our daughter’s birthday and they even gave her a candle. Highly recommend.

We had the Ivy Asia Experience Menu. Amazing. Food was glorious. Presentation was excellent. Service was first rate. Had a bootle of Chardonnay which was served well, well chilled and glasses kept topped up. Only down side is that it is quite busy (Saturday 5pm) - whilst we were fine tucked in a corner, some tables were tight so diners were being knocked as other people and staff squeezed past - I would have been unimpressed! Also, it can be noisy! But overall still a great experience.

Excellent food, decor and a very high standard of service. Unfortunately the loud thumping club music and punters throwing up in the toilets were somewhat at odds with the premium dining experience (and prices). If I went back back it wouldn’t be a Saturday lunchtime.

Collectively spent 35 minutes trying to get through to them over the phone, constantly kept on hold. When we did get hold of them, the man on the phone couldn't have been ruder. If you book here, you better get it right first time.

I visited a few weeks ago. There was a misunderstanding about the gluten free menu when we contacted them through email. However when we arrived the manager went far and behind to accommodate my dietary requirements. Thank you!

Amazing Food, In love with the Interior and Staff were very attentive.

We have visited twice in recent months for two family celebrations. On our second visit we had the Ivy experience costing £60 per person and thoroughly enjoyed the food. However we did not pay the 12 .5 % service charge. Mainly because we feel the drinks are very over priced. £33 for an ok bottle of Pinot Grigio and £46 and £35 for 2 bottles of sake 250 ml. We were going to have cocktails but £40 for a margarita is way out of our price range. We will probably return but not anytime soon.

This is a great addition to Leeds and in my opinion, outshines its sister restaurant, The Ivy. From the decor to the superb food and quality service, its a total win win. My only negative is that the background noise has been too loud on the odd occasion. I've visited four or five times and never been disappointed.

Doesn't matter how many times we visit Ivy Asia every visit is fantastic, from the decor to the fantastic staff. Every visit the food is perfect. Tasty, warm and fresh. After trying most of the food we have our favourites and keep returning. Yummy Spring rolls, smoked duck. Beef or chicken. Tempura veg 100% for flavour and presentation All the staff dressed so amazing with a service to match. Nothing is out of place, nothing is too much trouble. My favourite venue

The food at the Ivy Asia in Leeds is and always has been fantastic, but the quality of service has slipped disappointingly. Our cocktail, food and wine menus were unceremoniously dumped on the table. The cocktails took forever to arrive and we had to ask a few times for the wine. They tried to serve multiple dishes all at once for four people on a very small table. There simply wasn’t room. The waitress repeatedly interrupted our conversations to clear the table rather than wait for an opportune moment. The head waiter, despite my best efforts to engage with him really needs to crack a smile and converse. Great food, but please don’t forget about service and experience.

Matyas was the most delightful host we’ve ever had. Incredible dining experience which in my opinion, wasn’t that expensive , yet it utterly stupendous. Would absolutely adore to come back or if they could open a chain in Newcastle.

Visited for my wife’s birthday which was noted from my booking on arrival which was nice. We were shown to our table quickly and talked through the menu and how much we should order etc. The waitress we had was very nice but the service wasn’t ‘amazing’ as you would expect from a ‘high end’ restaurant but it other than that no complaints about the staff it was just fine. Atmosphere is fantastic the ivy Asia looks great for an Instagram photo all very pretty but very little substance and that brings us to the food… I was expecting SOOOOOO much more than what we got! Not in terms of portion sizes which I think were actually pretty good we had 2 appetisers 1 maki roll, 4 small plates and one large plate. However the quality was so far off what we expected. Neither of us could pick one dish that we could say was amazing and that we would have to come back for. We expected Tattu level food and it was far from it !

Absolutely over-priced for what it is. X3 of us paid over £200.00; ordered half a chicken & only the breast came. Very disappointing food & price. We came out hungry. Too loud an atmosphere & too dark in there. Overall a very poor experience

I'm not a big eater and usually leave a lot on my plate. I did NOT leave anything on my plate at this restaurant. it was so good that I had to wipe the sauce with noodles just to make sure I got every drop.

Sarah and Chloe were amazing! The best hosts you could ask for! We hired out the Buddha room and it was the most incredible service! Top girls if you are looking for a fab night! They look after you when you are more excited for still water than white wine ❤️

Outstanding in every way! From the minute you arrive to when you leave. Service excellent (Fran was exceptional) it was my wife's birthday and everyone went out of their way to ensure she felt special. Food and drink, amazing, arrived promptly and so well presented. The Samurai in the gents loo did make me jump though 😂 Thank you all, highly recommended and we'll be back!

Very slow and haphanded service. Food was excellent although some elements cold as waiting for accompanying dishes.

The experience package was fantastic, the service and kindness of the staff was unmatched and the wide range of menu options cater to all our different tastes! Really appreciated the complementary drinks and dessert which made my graduation dinner very special!

Amazing!! Service, food, atmosphere, all exquisite! A table of 5 ladies out for lunch, we had a brilliant time. We were a little shocked at the price of a bottle of prosecco after ordering 3! The price of a bottle of water was ridiculous too and we didn't agree with adding 12.5% service charge to the bill. Overall it was a fantastic experience!

Great food, excellent service..tre pricey..BUT, the appalling doof doof loud noise, disguised as music, apparent to keep diners awake, was dreadful, and ruined the evening

A place that you must visit, the Ivy has a high level of service at all of their locations and the Leeds Asia part of the chain does not disappoint. We visited for my partners birthday and we were able to get a table on a Saturday afternoon without booking ahead. I would advise that you partake in the higher rate Ivy experience menu as I believe it showcases the high standard if repeatability which this brand offers. The Black Cod is a dish which you will remember.

Loved my champagne Afternoon tea for 2 birthday treat yesterday. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was beautifully cooked and presented. Everything clean and pretty. Thank you.

The service and atmosphere were so good. The food was delicious ( not all but it depends on your taste bud).

This place is simply amazing in so many ways. We ordered the vegetarian experience, and we truly got an amazing, immersive and artistic experience from this 5 course meal. Everything was delicious and so beautifully displayed and everything considered, I believe the price was good. Once we finished a course, the staff were quick to bring out the next course and served at our pace when we started feeling full, which was very nice of them. The cocktails were artistic and tasty too. My only critique is that the dessert could’ve been more impressive, as we were given ice cream and churro balls. The atmosphere is like non other, it’s truly like being transported to a different place, from the flooring to the walls to the ceiling and bar, everything has been carefully thought out and designed to perfection. The bathrooms are lovely too, and scented so nicely. This is a perfect place to come for a celebration, we celebrated a birthday, and truly was an unforgettable experience like none other I’ve been to before. The place is so luxurious, with staff dressed very smart and according to theme, and upon arrival they kindly take your coat into a clock room which is a very nice touch, everyone is so friendly and nice. I recommend this place enough and I’ll definitely be back!

Superb service and very good food..the place looks astonishing

This is a visually stunning restaurant with wow factor. However, scratch underneath and a little more attention to detail is needed. I came at night when it first opened and it was impressive. But, my second visit 18 months later during the day threw light on some tired looking uniforms and tables. The staff were all wearing uniforms that were dirty and full of food and the uniforms look worn. The tables look scratched and worn. We were sat right under the waiter's station and my partner was covered in broken glass when they knocked a glass off the top of the station. The staff made a half-hearted attempt to clear the glass but left chunks on the seats and didn't offer to move us, or really aplogise. The staff kept standing in front of our table with their backs to our table and one member kept coughing, sniffing and wiping his nose on his hand at the station. The food is good, but for a few small plates, one large plate between us and no alcohol for two people did not justify the shocking price tag of £160. Like most chains, this trades on the name but in reality, does not live up to the hype. Overpriced. I won't go back.

Came here for my graduation meal and the experience was perfect. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous, and the food arrived quickly and was some of the most delicious food I’ve ever had. The highlight of the meal was the staff, they were so friendly and attentive - I can’t speak highly enough of them. Wonderful experience and will be returning.

Vibrant decor but food didn't live up to expectations and too much upselling from waiters

Had ok meal. When bill came they'd added 1 extra starter and charged over £200 for a bottle of Saki. Once queried they removed £113 from bill however no explanation or apology or goodwill gesture. Felt ripped off and angry.

Stunning decor , has the wow factor, greeted to by friendly staff, foods delicious. Waiters however looked miserable, no smile and some looked like they didn’t wanna be there.

We visited yesterday for lunch. I had the set menu. A wonderful selection of dishes. Tastefully put together. I didn’t need the extra sides but it was a nice add on. Well worth a visit.

Impeccable attentive service (we were delighted with our server Jemmimah) in the stunning design-led interior of the restaurant, and we enjoyed some of the most delicious food I've eaten in a long time. Ideal for special occasions or a more casual lunch. Booking highly advisable.

This was a great experience from the moment we walked in to sitting down and chatting to eating our food. Everything was wonderful and enjoyed it all. As we went for a birthday they also gave us a little extra birthday dessert which was wonderful. We were served by Armani who was amazing and they checked on us throughout our meal and answered any questions we had about the food and recommended us some good choices as it was our first time there. Would definitely recommend to go and we will be going back too 🩵

Fantastic food and amazing decor.

It is an Instagram restaurant which means it’s pretentious and beautiful but the fact, the food is so rubbish for the price. We’ve been once, this time we come here with a big hope that food will get better but sadly no. We had a big platter and things were missing, the waiter had to keep bringing them, bless him! So check when you order any platters. And omg! Noodles! My 10 yrs daughter can make so much better noodles! But you know.. Sometimes we just forget about good food but still can enjoy some drinks, atmosphere and good company. Staff are well trained.

All the suggestions that Tanvi give us where really good. I eat the best desert ever that dark chocolat mousse is just something from heaven 😋

Great food and atmosphere. However the staff are even better. Unfortunately, I did not get the gentleman’s name in the picture but the service we received from him was amazing. He was friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble.
