Can't really comment on the atmosphere as we normally get a takeaway from Deeva (because we have a dog) but tonight was a very unsatisfactory experience. The organisation and communication has been at question a couple of times from our experience but tonight was by far the worst. We picked up our order and found out that our chappatis were missing from our order, so my partner had to drive back to collect them while our curry was going cold. When she got back she then found that her curry wasn't what she ordered. She ordered a paneer spinach balti (which was written on the receipt attached to the bag) but after opening the container found a chicken spinach balti. Good job she wasn't vegetarian but it's not acceptable that she didn't get the food she ordered, not to mention the missing chappatis. The food is excellent but I think there is a communication break down at Deeva that really needs sorting out because we have had issues previously.

Tasty food and excellent service

Not entirely sure why this place is so highly rated. Ordered paneer tikka and there was no char on it at all, like they hadn't put it on a grill. The ordered a chicken tikka karahi which tasted like a slimming world curry and again the 'tikka' that you pay extra for wasn't tikka. Almost like they hadn't bothered to fire the grill up because it was a Monday. Naan was nice. Lacked flavour and felt cheated. Lots of better options in a short drive. Avoid.

We booked a table for 4 a couple of hours earlier. Friendly staff, decent menu and good selection of drinks. Good service at the table. Food was tasty and there was enough on the plate.

Great Indian restaurant in Farsley centre. Food was absolutely delicious. Tasty and plentiful . Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

If you only come for one thing here, it has to be the food! Sounds obvious, but many restaurants have been declining in that area lately. Not here! Fabulous, varied, interesting menu backed up by genuinely tasty, fresh food. We started with poppadoms and pickle tray, so crispy, fresh, and full of flavour. Then yummy starters came - traditional shami kebabs, chicken liver tikka, and chicken tikka both so tender they melted in the mouth. Finally, we moved on to main courses of keema balti, Punjabi nihari and Punjabi hara bara. All completely different, beautifully cooked and presented. Don't miss the naan bread either! Crispy base, fluffy top, stunning flavour. Service is attentive and professional, atmosphere was buzzing on an early Saturday evening. Will make sure this isn't our last visit. Farsley village really is well worth visiting for so many reasons, Deeva is most definitely another one.

One of the best kormas I’ve ever had. Extremely well-priced, excellent location, and the staff were fantastic.

Got a takeaway from here this evening. The Nihari was rubbish, about 7 pieces of lamb three of which were just inedible grizzle- in a slow cooked curry I’m not even sure how this was possible. The naan was the only saving grace.

Great food and service. The naan breads were very light. Will definitely go again. We have been 3 times now and really enjoyed the food.

Always go to Deeva as my go too local Indian restaurant and takeaway. The service is always great and the food is consistently amazing every single time!

Visited this restaurant for the first time after a day out drinking around Farsley. Walking in it looked a bit like a canteen, not a problem but I just thought it’d look more authentic. We had a nice welcome when we arrived and were seated immediately as we had booked. The staff were lovely and friendly and very attentive. The starters arrived in good time and were delicious and hot, freshly prepared. We quickly polished them off and out came the mains. Fabulous food and the naan bread was to die for. Slight mix up on one meal but that was dealt with quickly and efficiently. All throughout the staff were there helping and making sure that our night finished on a high. Overall a 5/5 is a well deserved score, they ticked all the boxes for our party, food was great, staff professional and friendly, great dining experience 👍👍

A lovely service from phoning for the delivery to the man delivering. The pickle tray and popadoms were very nice but the main course was so bland, no spices just a tasteless gravy. A waste of money, sadly.

Great restaurant, and very authentic. Reasonable prices- paid£25pp for a curry, poppadoms and diet coke. Food was very fresh and fish perfectly cooked with a good portion size. Staff are also very friendly. Would return.

Had heard good things, but was really unimpressed. Service wasn't great and food was really average. I genrally have a good pallet so if you do too.. Avoid.

Such a lovely run restaurant. Me and my two children went for dinner and the food was spectacular. One of the best ive had in a long while and I live in Bradford so I’ve tried a few of the best. Zulfi the owner was so welcoming and accommodating. The staff was polite and sufficient. My 8 year old had a child size curry that was nore than enough and he loved it. I Would 100 % recommend. I will be returning :)

Great food and service as always

We went on Monday 8th January for my birthday. There were just me and my wife in the restaurant. We skipped the popadoms as they were too pricey. I had sheik kebabs for starters which were very dry and crumbly not very nice. Always thought they would be moist. My wife had masala fish and said they were nicer from a Bradford market, so not a very good start. I had a keema bhuna hot which was pretty tasteless and the chappaties were hard dry and just broke up. Better quality from a cheap takeaway. My wife had chicken dopiaza which she said was only satisfactory. With a drink each it came to just over £50 not worth it at all. Back to Acbars from now on.

Service was excellent and we really enjoyed the food. Would certainly recommend to others.

I was invited at deeva for a birthday party, the staff were really nice, warm and welcoming, food had good variety of vegetarian and non veg options, they managed to help the hosts to have a good party for their children, the staff were cordial at reception and also at the buffet , Will go there again with my family only. Their naan were fresh and amazing, starters had amazing tikka or tandoori, I specifically enjoyed their vegetarian dishes, allo palak and mattar paneer

Took a works party to Deeva to ‘keep it local’ and was pleased with the results. Table of 18, so quite chaotic. Food was great. Everyone said so. I enjoyed mine certainly! Only compliant is that we had to wait for our mains quite a while - only an issue because some ordered starters and some didn’t. The place was helpful with the booking process and they did as they said they would - which as booker for a large group is all you really want! Would recommend…

Food here is always good, as is the service. Atmosphere isn't great but I think this is down to my personal preference on decor. An amazing place to go as a larger group/celebration. The owner is a lovely person and the staff are all fantastic.

We went for dinner as an all-adult family group - one omnivore, two veggies and two vegans. Everyone was brilliantly catered for. The veggie options are on the main menu, but if you're vegan ask for the separate vegan menu. On the main menu there are starters labelled as vegan, but the mains aren't labelled. The food is superb and the staff are really friendly.

Visited this weekend with my partner. Despite it being very busy, we were seated instantly. I'd definitely recommend booking ahead to avoid disappointment! The service was great. Staff were welcoming, we were checked on and asked if we wanted any more drinks. The food was delicious! I'm personally not the biggest fan of Indian cuisine but wow! We loved it! It was cooked to perfection. We really enjoyed it. We will be definitely visiting again.

Quel accueil par le boss et ses salariés !! Grande gentillesse, explications soignées des plats ! Le cabillaud délicieux semblait sortir d'un barbecue en plein mois de Juillet ! Le poulet afghan certes épicé était copieux, le pain nan garlik immense ! Bref, un beau moment culinaire et humain, le patron nous expliquant qu'il s'occupait d'œuvres caritatives, et qu'il en avait été récompensé par Queen Elizabeth ! Mérité ! Merci !

Sorry, but my takeaway was disappointing, to say the least. On my last visit to eat at the restaurant, I had chicken and spinach, which was served in a sauce, delightful. This was just solid spinach with bits of chicken, no sauce.

The lady on the phone is very slow at taking the orders. She lies by saying food will be with you in 40 minutes.1 and half hour later it turns up. Pretty cold. Food didn’t taste that good either. Wouldn’t be ordering again from you guys. Delivery driver puts the food on to the wet cold floor.. shambles Ls13 order

Regularly get a curry from Deeva and it never disappoints. Great food and friendly staff members!

Dirty restaurant I was sat next to a filthy radiator. Food utter crap, reheated sour rice, a health hazard. Butter chicken seemingly made with a tin of tomato soup. Sullen young woman serving. Honestly it’s awful!

Always the best service, food and experience. I won't go anywhere else and my friend who visits from Scotland insists on a visit to Deeva whenever he is down. #SimplyTheBest

Quality food and service always assured at Deeva even when ordering take away . We had a minor mix up with our order but it was dealt with effectively and the extras we got as a bonus were delicious and much appreciated. We will return soon.

Madras curry was made madras strength by adding chopped chilies. Toilets need immediate attention. Gents out of order.

Me dad has been going for curries for 50 years and he said this place is the worst place he's been to. Lackluster curry, sticky radiators and slow service. Would not recommend. That said the people were nice, just slow and bad.

Delicious food served with grace and professionalism by friendly staff. Loved it, and I'm not usually a lover of Indian food.

Having eaten here a few times oner the years, we knew it was nice but this visit saw the great place excel. Lovely staff, the owner is super friendly and helpful. I had the tandoori king prawns to start and my wife had Masala Fish. Mine had 4 huge chargrilled prawns with salad and a small pot of masala sauce. I asked for it to be spicy and they were happy to accommodate. The fish had 2 big pieces of delicious, spiced fish with salad. For mains I had Masala Cod - again asked to be spicy and it was. A huge fish marinated then covered in fried onions snd chillis. Came with pilau rice, salad and a bowl of sauce. Spectacular. She had a gobi alloo curry and we shared a perfectly cooked garlic naan. The whole thing was fantastic. Definitely recommended

The hosts are incredibly warm and friendly. The food? It’s amazing. Authentic and delicious. Crisp fresh poppadoms and chicken that melts in your mouth. All perfectly cooked and served in the lovely Victorian surroundings of a renovated church. Can’t wait to come again.

I have been to this restaurant twice now with my son and the food is fantastic...the best curry i have eaten...i went last night with my son and his girlfriend ..quality is top 9notch...staff are really professional and good customer service...my son has been a few times now and i know who is fussy about his food...give this place a try you will not be disappointed...prices are reasonable too...all in all no negatives..the owner is very nice and friendly and always checks to see if everything is ok...really lovely that the proprietor takes the time to talk to his customers Dot Pudsey

Had the lamb nihari this evening as it's my favourite dish here. Lovely as usual. Even the slightly fatty bits as it's lamb shank after all. Other half really enjoyed her vegetable biryani. Service top quality as always. Look forward to our next visit.

When the server came to clear the table I politely explained that the lamb was inedible, but everything else had been lovely and asked her to knock the lamb off the bill. The manager came to the table and totally embarrassed me, implying that I had eaten the meat and basically was just trying it on. I was made to feel incredibly uncomfortable and basically called a liar. He also on several occasion put his hand in me, which I felt was highly inappropriate. Having dined there on many occasions I will never return. So to summarise I would say eat there the food is usually excellent, however don’t ever dare complain , the manager is all sweetness and light until you have the audacity to mention that somethings below standard!!

Always nice food friendly staff great atmosphere

Went there as a large group and although we pre-ordered food took over an hour and half to come out. My naan came out ten minutes before my curry which was cold when I got it and some of the group were still being served their food when others had finished eating. So very disappointed. I have had several takeaways from here and its always been great and staff are also friendly. As a takeaway I'd rate this 4 stars and will order again, but as a restaurant only a 2, due to the long wait, the fact we had to go to the bar to get our own drinks and the place lacks ambiance and decour is very dated

zulfi and their team hosted a very large group of us tonight (50+) and the food was so nice! Staff were friendly and organised, was super impressed by the food given the number of people with individual orders. Thank you ❤️

My first visit & my last - nice food but very rude & insulting owner because 3 of our party didn't turn up. Tried to let him know about one of them but they don't answer phone before 5pm. He was moaning as others could have taken the places. My niece was told she couldn't have a drink of tea because they were too busy to make it then 10mins later the owner brought her one. Not a very good 1st impression & I will not recommend this place to anyone I know

First visit yesterday, Food was lovely my only down side was the staff, The two young ladies really looked like they wanted to be anywhere but there, Don’t think they cracked a single smile and I just felt the customer service could of been 100% better. They just had their heads in their mobile phones all night. Not sure I’d visit again

Really good food. I had the meat thali and my wife had the vegetable thali, both were excellent and very filling. The staff were very attentive although we were there early and there were only one other couple eating at the time. We will be back and I would definitely recommend to my friends.

Our first time there. What can I say but wonderful. Food was the best Indian we have had. Fresh, flavorsim, (Not dry) and a nice chat with the owner. We will certainly be returning soon with more family members.

I had high expectations and was genuinely excited to finally pay a visit and try your food. In the end, I was badly let down by the entire experience, regrettably so. The food was average at best, service was poor and one really does not expect to be served hot curry in plastic bowls! I am truly sorry but I will not be going back.

We went for a meal with friends, and the owner , guy with bald head was so rude to us just for asking for ice for our drinks. He came over raised his voice in an aggressive manner. We still chose to eat , but will not indefinitely go back. YOU ONLY GET ONE CANCE TO MAKE A FIRST IMPRESSION

The food was ok, had better. Dessert menu was a waste of time, only had a couple of items available, when dessert arrived it was still frozen inside. The place needs a revamp, chair's were a bit battered looking. Will no go back.

Friendly atmosphere and will go again

Best place to eat in Farsley, bar none, and rivals the more famous Leeds and Bradford establishments for the quality of food. Would be 5 star if they dropped the awful Western pop music and created a more Asian vibe.

Perfect environment and amazing food. I got the chicken tikka masala and it was the best I have ever had! Definitely coming again very soon , and couldn't recommend enough. Such lovely staff and owner too :)! Thanks a lot for the best evening !

A lovely evening at Deeva last night, contemporary Indian dining at it's finest! Nice atmosphere and surroundings, good company and a lovely Host! I was really looking forward to trying the butter chicken (a signature dish) and it didn't disappoint! I travel alot and this...

No expensive spared as clearly the finest ingredients were used in their dishes. . the pallet just wanted more and more! The lamb was tender and sauces were enriched with flavour ... Attentive service. The Owner was humble and very polite. It gets better we had a tour of upstairs and the rooms can be hired for meetings and for parties/ gatherings. . . With even a little music if one likes. It even had its own Mezz bar! I will be back for more. .thank you for making my evening .

I ordered a spinach and paneer curry and the paneer was really fresh but I don’t know what was in the spinach it tasted so vinegary and bitter. It was like some kind of pickle or mint or vinegar and it absolutely ruined what should...

We ordered takeaway tonight, decided to try this place on a whim. So glad we did - ordered a few dishes from their vegan menu to share between us and everything was delicious. The daal and potato and chickpea curry in particular were tasty, authentic and not oily at all. Super fresh, good food. We’ll definitely be ordering again!

Disappointing takeaway. Poppadoms were soft, and peshwari naan bread was stodgy, normally lighter and fluffier. Curries not as spicy as usual.

Updating my review from a few years ago. Lovely meal as always. The staff are just as friendly and attentive as ever, infact more so. Plus now on top of the gorgeous food, they offer their own house beer, a light, crisp pilsner that complements the food beautifully and would be my top choice. I really would recommend it. You can't go wrong with this place.
