Friendly, welcoming, generous with the tea, nice sandwich and lovely scone. Will be back and would recommend to all, bonus is that as it’s in the covered arcade you can still sit outside when it’s raining!

Decided to give this tea shop a try with my husband. Arrived on Sunday late morning, there was just one table with two ladies sat . The shop was dead at this point , I didn’t make a reservation because we only wanted a drink and a scone ? The young lady said Sundays were bookings only . She turned us away…. Well if you can afford to turn paying customers away? Won’t bother going back and don’t deserve my money.

This was a birthday treat and I was looking forward to it. Sadly it turned out to be no treat. We went for the Caribbean afternoon tea. Only difference was the little pasty and a bit of jerk chicken in one of the sandwiches. Bread was freezing cold. And where do I start on the scones. Billed as “pillowy” but sadly more like play dough in a hard shell I have never eaten a scone that was chewy. Not a nice texture at all , very stodgy and heavy Over all very disappointing. Save your money. There are much nicer places in Leeds.

I had afternoon tea with a group of friends to celebrate my friend's birthday. I felt the service was not attentive and the food quality was disappointing. No one came to ask us how the food was and whether the tea needed refilling. And they charge us a mandatory 10% service charge on the weekends on top of another 10% for a big group of us which is a total 20% additional charge. The tiered plate stand which the food was served on on was wonky and shaky. Sandwiches were the nicest but cakes and scones were dry. Scone was huge but wasn't 'pillowy' as described. It tasted hard and dry. On the website, it says loose tea leaves but I remember seeing tea bags in the teapot. I'm probably nitpicking here but the menu says 1 fresh strawberry but there was only half a strawberry given. I think the menu needs to be updated to give us more accurate information. The positive side I'd say is the ambience and the decor. They have tried to make it vintage looking and pretty and I can see little touches here and there such as teacups on chandelier. However, overall I don't think I'd be going back again. I think it is the price which puts me off. If I'm paying for extra service charge etc, then I expect better service. I agree with what some of the negative reviews - good ambience but poor service and subpar quality food.

We booked an afternoon tea for two adults and 3children(children aged 4,9,11). The total private was £165 which I think is a tad steep for what you receive. I would have not minded if the food and hygiene standards were higher but realistically this was extortionate. The sandwiches were dry, and lacked in flavour and were not fresh. The cake was probably a readymade chocolate log cut into slices and did not taste very good. The only good thing was the scones. The crockery was chipped and was probably obtained from a boot sale. The decor, crockery and hygiene standards definitely need improving. Yes it is vintage but even vintage has a standard. Will not be returning. Not worth £165. Will stick to betty’s tearoom or browns afternoon tea. Don’t mind paying if the required standards are met. Customer service was good however.

I was told we could only have the 'christmas afternoon tea' even though the classic menu was on display. This was £11 more expensive than the standard afternoon tea, the only additional cost I could see was the small sherry that was added? The child's Xmas afternoon tea was also £5 more expensive and this has nothing extra at all to show for it. They could have included a Christmas cracker or something!? It took an embarrassingly long time for the server to explain to me that although the kids option came with 3 sandwiches, you could only pick 1 filling. (I still don't really understand why, other than this is a single sandwich cut into 3). I picked turkey, which my child didn't like so was left with her only having cake for lunch. The pigs in blankets that were supposed to be included with the adult meal were missing. The whole thing was rather inelegant, cheap bread with bits of crust still visible. A doorstop of cake. The cakes were nice but I personally think an afternoon tea should have a few small beautifully presented treats, there was just a single giant doorstop of cake each. The scone was very nice and the staff were friendly. For a total bill of £55 it really wasn't good value for money.

Me and my friend had a loverly experience here at the just grand tearoom it's decorated beautifully for Christmas but still has that comforting vintage feel (like being at your grandparents house) we booked for the Christmas Afternoon Tea the scone are the best I've had on an afternoon tea. I had the cranberry and orange my friend opted for the plain they both came dusted with Icing sugar to emulate snow which I thought was a cute attention to detail. The sandwiches were tasty and fresh and the cakes were delicious 😋 The staff were attentive without being intrusive which I like and their Christmas themed earrings and antler hair clips was a nice festive touch. We will definitely be back in the new year to try one of the other afternoon tea options that they offer 😊

Eaten here many times but disappointed on this occasion. We asked for soup. No soup. The two items I ordered were brought incorrectly. There was no heating in the cafe so not very comfortable. Not up to usual standard unfortunately and expensive for what we had.

Proper vintage tearoom with decor & crockery. Had the Christmas menu afternoon tea. Loved the snowball aperatif. The sandwiches & cakes were lovely and fresh. Free refills of the drinks you choose. Really enjoyed the time with my oldest school friends. Definately recommend!! ❤️

This place has so much potential and is very sweet and charming for people who enjoy afternoon tea and vintage. The decor is cool but definitely could be improved - the food was lovely and was a fun thing to do with family or friends. The tea was lovely and there was many flavours to choose from. I would recommend as a nice activity but would suggest some more organisation or update of the decor.

8 of went in there today on a day trip to Leeds for shopping, called in just after they opened, wasn't welcomed, first thing they said was we do not do fancy coffee, the filter coffee was undrinkable, my friend and l and another had a pot of tea, which was so weak, like water, served in a large coffee pot with two tea bags. To top that off, charged £9.75 for two cups of, words fail me, when questioned was told they charge a 10% service charge, what service cannot even make tea and coffee, very disappointed.

Was given a table in a tight corner. Tea came out first but kept getting cold because the milk was ice cold. I asked if the milk could be heated and a staff member rudely told me they couldn’t heat the milk without explaining why. The afternoon tea came out and it looked liked it was all slopped on to a plate and the sandwiches looked disgusting and messy. I’ve been to many tea rooms and this is of very poor standard for a tea room. I only ate one scone and I was too upset to say anything when I left. Ended up paying for nothing. Awful experience, not surprised it was a busy Saturday in Leeds and the place was empty. Please do not waste your money in this place you will be disappointed. Strongly recommend they improve the food and train their staff if they want to revive the empty place. Wasted money in this place.

I recently had the pleasure of stopping by Pit Stop Cafe while on the way to Scotland. I was so glad I did - the food was incredible! The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was so pleasant. The breakfast menu had so many delicious options to choose from, and I ended up enjoying a full English and a cup of tea. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. I definitely plan to stop by Pit Stop Cafe again next time I'm in the area!

We came here for the first time having normally gone to other breakfast spots in the area and I wish we had visited sooner. This cafe had great food and best value for money in weatherby. The loose leaf tea was great and the staff were all great
