The Marsh Inn in Leeds

Despite being there for a funeral, I can recommend this place. Staff were excellent and it’s obvious they have lots of bands, quizzes etc across the week. Good quality food for our buffet and the regular menu looked good. Some real ale plus all the usual lagers etc.

It was very quiet but the barman was very helpful and charming.

What a great place to stop for some good old pub grub... Absolutely delicious Sunday Roast with all the trimmings, it did not disappoint let me confirm. Both inside and outside is very comfortable, plenty of drinks to choose from and all with great service from the staff. We will definitely be going again, for food and maybe for the entertainment.... I understand they have a George Michael tribute act on shortly.... If you're interested in a good honest place to go for a decent fill .... then look no further and give The Marsh Inn a try.... Just taken my mum for lunch at the Marsh, what an absolute pleasure to visit. The ladies working behind the bar were so friendly, welcoming and polite and the food, wow......smoked salmon salad was to die for and mum's scampi and chips looked delicious too. Highly recommended.

Just had the Friday night special Steak ! Cooked just as we asked no grissle was absolutely delicious . Highly recommend £35 for two also includes a lovely bottle of wine. Brilliant pub! ❤️

Had a pint, first time visiting but seems cozy and the owner is really accommodating and friendly.

For local/pub food you really can’t go wrong with the marsh. Spot on, cheap and the staff and atmosphere is excellent. They go above and beyond to help too with kids etc. Mel and Martin and the team do a great job!

Great classic traditional pub. The service is excellent and the staff really do cater for their customer’s requirements. Very welcoming and friendly. The food is lovely and are generous Yorkshire portions. It’s always clean and tidy and has a fabulous beer garden with lovely hanging baskets. Worth a visit.

The Marsh serves the most incredible Sunday Roast. Best in the area! You won't be disappointed.

Had a great beef Sunday lunch. Well worth the money. Large portions and extremely filling. I would have given five stars but kitchen and bar staff were seen smoking outside near the kitchen entrance.

Popped in on short notice. Staff, landlord, and accommodating us was brilliant. Food also superb. No wonder it was packed. Need to book next time! Super.

Sunday roast, loads for your money, and tasty. Think I'd give the lamb shank a miss next time as very tough and gristly, but all other food was 5/5. Have previously had the pork/beef which were both good. Nice pub, lovely staff

Tapas was great yesterday, Chicken was juicy and well cooked, only bad point was the prawns, they just weren’t great, but for 3 people, £39 including drinks was great value

Gorgeous food. Had steak and ale pie. Pie was full to the brim with meat. Chips were homemade. Served hot and was absolutely delicious. Also had apple crumble with ice cream, lovely big dessert, only thing a small portion of ice cream served. We will be back as throughly enjoyed the food Had Sunday lunch heee too was absolutely gorgeous. Puddings were £6 and not worth it at all for a microwaved sponge and custard, need to be more reasonably priced.

Booked a table for Sunday lunch and it didn’t disappoint. Great attentive staff , shame there were some unruly dogs in the pub albeit temporarily , but it’s not what you want to hear when you are out for a meal. Nothing against taking your dog to pub, but they need to be under control. Food arrived and was plentiful, meat cooked nicely and plenty of vegetables , which were fresh ( most are not ) . Homemade yorkshires and an extra gravy jug! Was really nice and tasty and we would recommend , the 1 star deducted as one of my husband’s roast potatoes was cold, and the noise from the dogs at the start. Will definitely be back though . Nice pub , can get busy and sometimes seems to have limited staff but overall although I personally hate music in pubs it’s still a fine place for a few drinks, never eaten but friends so it’s good

Hub and i have visited here on a few occasions with family for a Sunday roast which has always been excellent,tasty flavourful food, generous portions, good traditional desserts. Staff friendly and accommodating, adequate seating inside and a Beer garden at the front, drinks reasonably priced. Adequate car parking at the rear of pub.

I have been going to the Marsh for pizza night about once a month for the past year and every time we have been we always say it gets better each time. The pizzas are amazing with loads of topping and staff are all really friendly.

Fantastic pub in the traditional sense that it is a pub , decor was tasteful and modern but had the atmosphere missing in many soulless bars nowadays .

My Wife and I visited today, fantastic food and great service. Highly recommended. We will definitely return

It was a lovely friendly pub, very helpful staff.Plenty of drinks to choose from. Very Clean and tidy. There is so much to choose from on the menu , and different day have different specials like Wednesday is tapia night andThursday is pizza night, or you can order if the main menu. It’s really nice. Brilliant atmosphere. We were lucky it was a lovely evening, so we sat outside in the lovely beer garden. Full marks for this pub.

Stopped by for a late lunch after a walk , having not been since the recent refurb, it was nice to see it has been kept original, but the decor is brighter and seems slightly bigger. Decided on just the roast of the day sandwich and added chips for £2.00. Other half ordered a burger Nice polite table service when food arrived , chips home cooked , not frozen which was nice . Husbands burger was huge with 2 thick homemade patties . The beef in my sandwich was lovely and tender, also a small jug of gravy on the side. Food hot and potions plenty , would recommend to eat, also just for a welcoming drink with great service . Ladies toilets beautifully clean with complimentary toiletries . Well done the Marsh Inn , will be back again soon

We tried this place one afternoon. Friendly enough welcome , orders taken at the bar. We had 1 salt and pepper wings to share which were just deep fried wings with savoury salt, no chopped chilli /onions/or peppers on top, dip sauce was bbq which was a bit odd . 2 Main courses and 2 shandy’s bill over £40 which for a meal you could have easily had exactly the same in weatherspoons for half the price we weren’t impressed or inspired to return.

Lovely local pub. Visited on a Wednesday evening for drinks and food. The beer garden is fabulous. Lovely hanging baskets, planters, and very clean. Food choices are very good and very tasty. All staff were very friendly too

Great atmosphere and lovely food

We booked sunday lunch after reading all the great reviews & can definitely say it lives up to the hype . Nice veg & fresh Yorkshire with plenty of gravy . We managed to squeeze in a dessert jam sponge, which was delicious 😋 . Washed the food down with good cask ales if you like Landford . Great service & nice surroundings . Will definitely be back soon .

2 steaks with trimmings for 20 quid, nice beer. Music, friendly staff. Sorted. (Update as it's due, same great atmosphere, lovely beer, 2 top fish meals 15 quid. Lovely in these bloody difficult times.

Came here to watch England beat Wales in the World Cup. Really nice and friendly atmosphere with some great screens for watching the match. Even gave out complimentary pie and peas at half time which was delicious. Will defo be returning!

As always a lovely home cooked meal . No turkey left , no problem , the chef poached a chicken breast . Little man wanted chips with his amazing pizza 🍕 again no problem . We were running late and the lovely staff accommodated all the way . Hands down 10/10 . Just on our doorstep too 🙃🙂

My husband visited yesterday with our son- a belated Father’s Day meal. Honestly he’s not stopped praising the food and the service. He’s 80 yrs of age and he says that Sunday dinner took him right back to his childhood and the food his grandmother used to cook. A proper good old Sunday dinner! On his behalf thank you!

Lived in Pudsey since 2004 and this has always been a decent pub. Looked like closing down at one point but then the current Landlord & Landlady (names escape me, sorry!) took it over and have totally transformed it whilst still retaining the character of the place. The BIGGEST plus is the food. Simply amazing. Went last night (Thursday) when the 2-4-1 Pizza offer is on. As good as what you would get in an Italian restaurant - THAT GOOD! Huge as well! £22 for a family of 4, but I'd happily pay the full price. All staff are friendly and welcoming and the pub is spotless and clean. Back on Sunday for the Sunday Dinner, which is just as good!

5 of us went for a birthday tea and left 5 empty plates. Place was buzzing,Food was gorgeous, staff were lovely and welcoming and although busy served us promptly. Stayed and did music quiz which was really good. My only complaint is my self inflicted aching head this morning!! . Will defo be back to do all over again. Thanks for a great night guys

What a fantastic pub! Visited yesterday with my daughter to take part in their music quiz. It is a lovely clean and cosy pub with well kept real ales reasonably priced. The staff are welcoming cheery people as is the Landlord. The clientele are also lovely, friendly people too. We had a brilliant time in the quiz (we didn't win 😄) and we will be back. Thank you for a truly enjoyable night out! **UPDATE** 06/03/2022 Came back to try the food and they didn't disappoint. Top quality Sunday lunch for under £10. Keep it up 🙂
