Valentines Evening at Ripon. I forgot to order a meal where we stayed .. and it was packed out. So we had a wander looking for a meal. Found the restaurant. Had a great meal Penne Pollen Pasta. And a pudding after ( you have too!! ) Fantastic meal. 2 pints of Italian beer. And the wife's company. Made my evening Made the pasta since. ( Wife requested it ) Chef at Hot Lava did it better. ( It always tastes better cooked for you.) And Tiramisu made to order. A brilliant meal in a lovely place.

I keep coming back and giving the chippy another chance but no more I arrived 1720 ordered fish and chips twice On opening the food not 10 minutes later as I only live 2 miles away The chips weren’t just cold they were hard , probably meant re cooked chips and no way was the fish freshly cooked. It was dry and soggy. Enough , there are so many chip shops in Ripon not all can be as bad as this one. Never again

My partner and I were recommended this place by a local. Seamus and his team made us feel so welcome the moment we stepped through the door. The service was exceptional and the food.... well, quite honestly the best roast dinner we have ever eaten. We don't live locally unfortunately but plan on visiting again soon Keep up the good work seamus

Very busy Saturday night but staff were great, helpful and friendly. Food came out quickly. Lovely deep fried potato skins as starter and then one of the best calzones I've had. My wife really enjoyed her spagbol

Quite possibly THE best Sunday lunch I have ever experienced - and this is now my fourth as I’m hooked. Impeccable attention to detail and flavour in every element of the dish. I have certainly had my fair share of Sunday dinners and cannot fault this first class experience, from the cheesy cauliflower cheese, crunchy Tenderstem, slow roast carrots and perfect roasties, to the melt in your mouth perfectly cooked beef. The Yorkshire puddings are spot on. Absolutely stunning food

Super friendly staff, loads vegan options, we had vegan munchie boxes & honey sesame mock duck, super tasty, would definitely recommend it 😍😍

Quiet but really friendly. Can't review foods as only been in for a pint. If you want a calm place to chat to someone rather than shout over the usual spoons crowd this is for you!

Popped in for a late lunch and they catered for our later arrival really well with a genuine warm welcome. A nice place for a bite to eat.

Come to this cafe if you enjoy being ignored - went to buy some cakes and drinks and waited whilst other people were served ahead of us even if they came in after us - staff were rude and dismissive don’t waste your money. I walk out after waiting over 25 minutes to be served. It also wasn’t busy when this happened as only one couple was sat outside perhaps this was due to the poor customer service

When I was told I was not allowed to bring my puppy into Greg’s ( which I completely understand) but with all the dognapping, I didn’t want to leave him outside. Doris brought my food to me and took the payment. I cannot thank you enough for how kind you were, it was very appreciated!

Lovely little cafe with friendly staff, lovely food and good menu. Its a little gem and well worth a visit.

Have ordered collection multiple times and ordered delivery once. Food is always beautiful!
