Great place lovely food and staff

Lovely food and a great atmosphere. Very nice pale ale on tap but it's a little disappointing that they don't have a good bitter on tap - especially with Theakstons and Black Sheep just 20 minutes up the road.

The staff here were extremely friendly and helpful and service was excellent. We sat downstairs for lunch where there's an area for children to play with toys, games and books. We ordered via the app and the food came quickly despite how busy it was. The food itself was delicious and looked freshly prepared, not the usual reheated preprepared food you might get in some bars. The only thing I would say is some of the tapas dishes were perhaps a little overpriced for what they were. The kid's food portions were generous and very reasonably priced. My son liked being able to pick which sides he'd like with his main. We would definitely return for another visit as my kids were having so much fun playing that they didn't want to leave.

Great place lovely food. Had the most bazaars experience believe or not, but something tapped my shoulder and when i turned round in surprise no one was there, it was not a slight tap but quite hard it really freaked me, has any one else experience this.

Burger was abit tasteless and chips where abit poor... but overall it was average

Fantastic little eatery in Ripon. We went here for brunch off the back of the Google reviews and we were NOT disappointed. If im hyoer critical id say uts on the expensive side but it was delicious food and great service.

Absolutely love this place, have always been able to get a table when walking in. Lovely relaxed environment, food is always consistent. Dogs are welcome & the pancakes are wonderful! Love a lounge breakfast, but didn't want such a big meal this day - so pancakes won. Can't go wrong with their decaf latté, always a very pleasant cup & the menus have such choice, even those with dietary requirements 😋😃

Visited Claro Lounge today for the firsttime to catch up with an old friend whilst I was passing through Ripon. I can't comment on the food - we didn't have any, just drinks - though I'm gonna go 5* anyway... I can however comment on service and atmosphere. I was treated extremely well; I bought my excitable 18 month old Labrador with me and this was accepted without a murmur. The staff were friendly, accomodating and chatty, making it a pleasure to go in there. Altogether the "vibe" was relaxed but professional. I really enjoyed the experience and will surely be going again next time I get to Ripon. Oh yeah, the coffee was pretty good too!

The place looked nice from the outside. Walked in on the sign it said wait to be seated waited nobody attended so we walked back out.

Very nice place. Bigger than it looks with facilities for all sorts of people, especially families. Fair prices and the staff are lovely.

We are both vegetarian, my partner can only eat gluten free. It was so nice when the waitress offered us a separate menu to cater for us. The food was excellent.

Seperate, extensive menus for vegetarians/vegans and those who require gluten free. Care taken ordering, and our brunch was excellent. Such a pleasant change. Just a shame that they only have the one branch.

I love this café Bar in Ripon. It's on the visit list each month. Excellent service as soon as you walk through the door. A great friendly welcome. What to chose this visit? Lots of choices. My favourite is the Nasi Goreng. Spicy but not too spicy. Lots of fresh water prawns & chicken. Crispy fried egg on the top. Yummy. Hubby had a full breakfast as it was Brunch time. And it is a full breakfast. Service excellent again. They are dog friendly and always make a fuss of our Fox Terrier. See you next shopping day.

Stopped off in Ripon on route to Yorkshire Dales, just fancied a light brunch. A lovely bubbly lady greeted us. Nice atmosphere inside, quite a big place with steady customers ( it was snowing ). I had the smashed avocado brunch and hubby had the Twisted chicken club. They were both amazing, loaded with fresh taste ingredients. If we're passing Ripon and we're hungry we will definitely call in again.

A very popular place. There are even queues. Pleasant atmosphere and delicious food. Fairly reasonable prices. I go here regularly.

Food is decent but the staff seem to spent too much time chatting to each other loudly and seemingly happy to swear at each other. It's not cheap amd the behaviour just not acceptable.

Called yesterday, I wish I had been more adventures with my choice but the sausage sandwich was good.As was my friends burger.The two for one drinks offer was a bonus too.

This is the third Lounges cafe we found by coincidence. Claro in Ripon. Spacious, and nicely furnished for quiet seating. They are all different, but their menus are exactly the same. From now on, we will look out for them. So far we still missed the poached eggs with spinach and mushrooms, our next craving. The service is pleasant, the choice of dishes is great and the quality of their products is very good. Again this was our experience on the Market Place in Ripon, where we had a nice bowl of soup.

What an absolute treasure We’ve been to Ripon a few times but never been to Claros It was in between Christmas and New year my husband and I darted off to North Yorkshire for a mini break Pouring with rain we decided to take shelter in Claro’s The welcome was warm friendly and professional The guy who served us was absolutely wonderful He recommended the spicy frozen margarita and it was soooo good. We had a few small plates as we having dinner in hotel in the evening It was absolutely delicious Fresh tasty great value All the team were attentive and engaging with all the guests coming in out the rain. I hadn’t realised it was a chain as usually I’m not a fan but this business operates like a fantastic independent I own a small jazz bar in Doncaster and if the team lived closer I’d be poaching them 😂 Great Job we will be back. Called in on a day out in the area had a lovely meal. Lots of choices on the menu and friendly helpful staff.

I had great food and I was by myself and at no time was I made to feel uncomfortable. Take a book along to swap or leave as they have a book swap bookcase downstairs. For those with Children downstairs is an area they can play, toys and board games are supplied. They serve tea, coffee and alcohol as well as soft drinks...both floors have a hydration statuon of water you can help yourself to. Will be going back to try their great menu that spans breakfast to dinner.

Really disappointing. The brisket chilli I ordered contained almost no beef - I sent it back and got a refund. Children’s mac and cheese (£6) comes out of a packet so they couldn’t provide any plain pasta alongside the cheese sauce. Hardly any of the kid’s menu options come with any veg. My husband ordered a side of broccoli - 4 tiny pieces for over £4. Waste of money and I came home hungry. Music much too loud to have a conversation. Only redeeming part was that the staff were very pleasant.

We had my mother's after wedding party here ( it was the first wedding they facilitated), during the setting up and decorating the managers were extremely helpful and helped with tables and spacing, at the beginning all the staff were extremely helpful with first drink and even asked us when they should bring the food out so we had time to mingle and celebrate. To add on we were worried about having our music too loud (we were downstairs and they were still serving people upstairs) but once again they were extremely understanding and we weren't asked to turn it down once. I could keep going but it'd be a whole essay. We had an amazing time and the managers and staff made my parents night very special and offered us more help than we could imagine. I definitely recommend this place wether it's just a meal or for an event as the staff is spectacular, the food is amazing and the atmosphere even better. I'd also like to once again thank the restaurant for all the help! 😊

Whilst staying in Ripon on 10th November we visited Claro Lounge for dinner. The menu was very good and having both opted for the chilli we were not disappointed. Bar staff were both polite and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

Called in for coffee and cake with my partner and sister and brother in law. Such lovely welcoming staff. Really nice coffee and a slice of dark chocolate and raspberry torte. Yummy. The menu looked interesting 😋. We will return for a meal hopefully soon.

Just had brunch here and it was gorgeous! Had smashed avocado and poached egg with streaky bacon as an extra. My sister had philli cheese steak ciabata. We shared the chocolate fudge cake and sticky toffee pudding with a pot of tea each. Would defo return- there's so much on the menu we want to try!

Barman forgot to bring drinks to table and had to be reminded, food when it arrived was not very hot. Won't be going again !

Grabbed a quick lunch after lovely stroll around Ripon. Already rating 11/10 as it allows well behaved dogs(we didn't have our pupper with us today!) We had tapas and bag bang chicken.....cooked fresh and really delicious. Food and service fabulous definitely will be back on next visit to Ripon!

Plenty of choice for food, and it was great. The staff were friendly and efficient. Went at lunch time and the restaurant was busy but that didn't slow the service. Good vibes in the restaurant and they had lots of games for all ages you could pick to play at your table, great for kids and adults. The food was gorgeous, we had the lounge big breakfast and the bang bang chicken.

A lovely place with super staff and great food. What's not to like. First visit , if I get to Ripon again I will certainly return. Thank you

Came here on the 5th as a group of 4. The staff were welcoming and drinks came out very quick. Slight negative was far too much ice in drink with cup 3/4 full of ice, would recommend holding off on ice. In terms of the food we got a good portion which was all nice and warm with good prices. The staff were very friendly. When we sat a staff member came and asked how our day was. Food was brought with a smile and upon leaving staff were friendly saying have nice day. Will defo be coming back here again and was nice to be in an environment with welcoming positivity from the team that work there.

Five of us went here and had tapas to share which was really good food. Had 12 dishes. Costs 12.50 for 3 dishes so good value. Had churros afterwards but could probably share 1 between 2. Cocktails had an offer on if you had 2 it was cheaper. Nice range of beers on tap. Very good menu will go back later in the week again. Dogs are allowed in which helps. Staff are really friendly here.

Firstly the positive..... The staff are very friendly & professional. The food another matter! I had the Flat bread with chicken & red pepper salsa. The bread was very hard& the chicken sparse & like scraps. It was completely covered in salsa which was way too much.... Basically making it inedible!! I don't believe anyone would be able to eat it. This bar was a stop off on our way to Durham Big Mistake!! However Ripon looked lovely.....

We went there for dinner. As vegans there was plenty of choice and we both had the jackfruit biryani bowl. The service was great, and when we said part of the meal was cold this was put right with an apology and checked we were happy after. Everyone would enjoy the reasonably priced freshly made food at this cafe/restaurant. Highly recommended.

It was very quiet when we went (Thurs 2pm)which suited us so we could chat.

Can't fault this place at all. Excellent menu with great Vegan choice too. All staff very efficient and very friendly. Looking forward to our next visit. Thankyou!

Went in here for a meal with my family...the service from Eilidh was first rate, she was pleasant, cheerful and a credit to the company...the food was served by 2 waitresses who were bubbly and full of enthusiasm and interacted with their customers...I have never been in a restaurant that had such wonderful staff....food was delicious and served timeously... nothing was too much trouble.. I recommend a visit, great atmosphere, plenty of room even when busy...what else could you ask for!

We ordered full English in the afternoon, I had to have dairy free,due to allergies. The staff were great and made sure everything was correct . Which I'm thankful for. The atmosphere was great due to it not having sports etc on, so you can actually talk to each other.

This place is superb. I once heard someone call it a "glamorous version of Wetherspoons"...what utter tosh! It's nothing like Wetherspoons. It has a real bright/welcoming/vibrant/friendly/clean vibe about the place. The staff always greet you with a friendly welcoming smile and the food is delicious - and prices are very fair. I would recommend the Halloumi or Plant Burger with their freshly made Coleslaw and chips. The only thing I would say on that one is they could add ALOT more coleslaw, but you could always ask for an extra portion. The place is clean and tidy and attracts nice friendly people, unlike Wetherspoons which tends to attract a certain type of person (no offence).

We know the Loungers Group as we have Establo Lounge near us in Rustington, so this was a natural choice for an early breakfast as we visited Ripon. Claro is huge and yet has a comfy homely and welcoming atmosphere. The menu was immediately familiar which made our usual indecision over dining choices a lot easier. So some piping hot coffee's accompanied by poached eggs, on toasted muffin with crispy bacon and Hollandaise sauce it was. They nailed it, delicious! the Hollandaise had a sour bite to it which cut through sauce and enriched the flavour of the eggs. After which we had another coffee, planned our day and then set off to explore Ripon. The start of a lovely day exploring not only Ripon but also Richmond.

Excellent food and service, would recommend and visit again if back in the area.☺

A wonderful and spacious restaurant. We went for breakfast and were spoilt for choice! We chose the Smashed Avocado Brunch, Bacon and Egg Breakfast Muffin with a fresh orange juice (made in front of me), an amazing Peachy Keen drink and a very smooth coffee. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. We sat downstairs outside in an amazing little sun trap which was lovely and hot even at that time! What a find!! We’ll definitely come back the next time we are in Ripon.

It was my birthday so we decided to go to the lounge for a late dinner, 9pm. A busy day up till then but finally we relaxed. Everyone was so smiles and helpful. As always it's easy, great value and good quality. The manager clocked us sharing a dessert so gave us 2 spoons. I hadn't celebrated until then but its made my birthday. Thank you.

Awful chips, chip sticks tasting of oldish oil ffs are chips to tricky to make. Thankfully the portion was really small so minimum waste. Beer cold & good Good service Other food items average

Been several times now in the hope that the establishment might have been having an off day, but sadly not. Bland food must be the norm, a lot of food always seems to be unavailable, you leave the premises with your ears ringing as the music's that loud and the service is hit and miss. Overpriced for the quality of food served, poor value for money.

The second time, we have tried Claro Lounge and the second disappointment. The food was bland and the service was poor. It's such a shame as the venue has a lot of potential and only a small amount of competition. We won't be going back.

Came to Ripon Cathedral for Spring Fayre earlier and called in for lunch. We had a large choice of foods. We both had flatbreads and a side of plain chips and sweet potato chips which arrived quite quickly after ordering. They looked so fresh and delicious when they arrived and they didn't disappoint they were delicious. Will deffo come again thank you
