High quality food served by lovely friendly staff . Sunday roast with 3 meats was superb.

Advertised as keeping faithful to what made The Tiger so popular when it reopened, same chef etc, but sadly it was more like the new owners previous Goldsborough pub but in a new location. OK, but just not as good. Steak and Ale Pie especially was disappointing as were the accompanying vegetables. A few chips in a little metal basket is never what you want to see!

Superb haddock and chips. Excellent service. Good value. Goes the extra mile.

12.04.25 We stumbled upon The Wild Swan pub a day before our travels on our UK family holiday. The Wild Swan was our break from a long drive and an hour-ish away from our destination. We booked in advance (probably an hour before) and were happy to find out that our two Jack Russells were allowed in the bar area so that we could have lunch. The sandwiches were very generous and the chunky chips were amazing. We would recommend the roast of the day sandwich, which was roast beef for us, was to die for. The gravy that accompanied the sandwich and the chunky chips was moreish. We also had dessert which was also tasty and hot drinks can be served with alternative milk options. The staff were great and attentive when they needed to be. We would love to come back if we were in the area again.

Nice little bar and cafe with a good choice of drinks but limited food choices. Pretty sure the food is reheated from frozen - fine if you can't be bothered to cook for yourself but nothing special. Staff were friendly.

Great little find just off the A1 towards York, we stopped for breakfast. Dairy and gluten-free accommodating, dog friendly as the tables outside undercover. Fantastic food great parking and all Cooke from fresh is brilliant. Not sure why people are rating four stars on here this is definitely a five star cafe

Nice place, friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Lunch was lovely. Just wish they had a few more choices for sandwiches, as you sometimes don't require a main meal at lunch time, and the sandwich menu is very limited. But all in all a great visit.

First visit to pub, although my husband had been quite sometime ago. I was very impressed, we love going out and regularly visit several pubs in the area, this will certainly now be firmly on our revisit list. Staff really welcoming, atmosphere with a lovely low buzz. Chef knows what he is doing, food was delicious, and not overpriced. If like me you have never been go on treat yourself. Thank you John and the team.

Handy for a cuppa after work or during a shop. The cafe is situated in the simply food store and it’s clients are generally local. Good service and bright and airy cafe. Huge windows mean it gets very hot in sunny weather. No outside seating.

Disappointing couple of visits recently, poor ambiance, no one seems to be in charge or responsible. High prices should be supported by top service. Very quiet, beautiful place, shame
