The Wanderer Bar & Kitchen in Harrogate

Nice little bar and cafe with a good choice of drinks but limited food choices. Pretty sure the food is reheated from frozen - fine if you can't be bothered to cook for yourself but nothing special. Staff were friendly.

Really nice on site cafe and bar, which is open Wednesday to Sunday. The bar is open 3pm to 8pm and last orders is 7.30pm. We didn't eat but the food looked lovely and they also do takeaway. All the staff are really friendly. Dogs are also welcome in the cafe/bar.

Had great pizzas here for tea while staying on the campsite. The place is clean with a nice atmosphere and staff are really friendly and helpful. Sat outside for a drink in the sun too which was lovely.

Well it's all changed for the better. No more stale atmosphere, here's your food now leave thank you!! Its now more welcoming. Come on in and bring your fur baby(doggy), more than welcome great atmosphere.it has a limited menu and take away which is more suited to caravan and motor home travelers, came for a bank holiday weekend never seen it so busy in the pub what a change for the good well done to the wardens and the caravan club for making the change. The staff were amazing and never stopped. Well done to you all!!

We were disappointed with the closure of the Wanderer Bistro We have been regulars at the Knaresborough Caravan and Motorhome site for several years. During our stays, we always dine at the on-site Bistro, called the Wanderer, and we have always enjoyed it. However, when we arrived last weekend, we found a sign up saying that the Wanderer was closed for a refit on 1 June. We were surprised and disappointed that the refurbishment was done at the start of the summer season. Who in their right mind would do that? Someone with no idea of the business, we think. The site is located one-third of a mile away from the closest pub, so having an eatery on site is essential. We felt short-changed and had we known that the Wanderer was not available, we would have gone somewhere else. We understand that the plans are for the Wanderer to reopen as a daytime café sandwich bar run by the site stewards, but we think that this is a downgrade too far.

Just had burger and skinny fries, absolutely delicious. Huge portions and well cooked, thank you 😊

Called for dinner one Sunday. They had the roast on so we went for it. Veg and Yorkshire puds were good. The roast potatoes weren't roasted and didn't like the meat. Serving staff were polite and helpful. Quite a few people in. Was disappointing.

Went in 2 nights running and both times the service, hospitality and food were amazing. Would highly recommend a visit if you are on site or in the vicinity.

What's not to love about this unique little steal if a place.

How refreshing to walk into a Bar and Restaurant and be amazed at how sparkling clean everything was. It is one of the cleanest we have ever seen, well done everyone at the Wanderer.

A lovely place with fabulous staff. Excellent food too. Please bear with the management - staff shortages mean they can only open part-time. Enjoy it whilst it's there!

We were staying at Knaresbourgh Caravan Club Site which in its self is very very good, but to have a Restaurant as well is a real treat. However it does not stop there, the quality of the food is exceptional, we were looked after very well, so thank you to everyone at the Wanderer Bar & Kitchen.

Excellent food , Spanish chicken and my husband had fish and chips, he was very impressed and he's hard to impress, said knock the spots of fish and chip shops. Highly recommended, staff lovely and friendly, will definitely be back

We were staying on the caravan site and fancied eating out. I had very low expectations but realised very quickly that I was wrong. Between us, we had the fish and chips, chicken burger, pizza and scampi. We were not disappointed at all. Amazing food and staff. Thank-you!

We had a wonderful meal here recently: fish pie (special) and curry. The lady who took our booking and who also served us was delightful. Fellow diners also enjoyed their meals. We shall be sure to eat here when visiting the area again. Would recommend unreservedly. Thank you to all staff concerned.

Excellent venue great and friendly staff and good food

Amazing food, atmosphere, service and great staff. Some of the best food from any takeaway. The CMC will surely see the benefit of having one at every large main site. Excellent value too.

We have eaten here in the past and always been delighted with the choice of food and service. Not this time! Very limited menu, in fact the same as the takeaway, and we were then asked to 'pay as you go'-where does that come from? I asked for a glass of red wine which came in an individual small bottle. Not a lovely dining experience we were looking forward to, more like a greasy spoon cafe with disinterested staff. D Payn

The food was barely edible, lukewarm and went in the bin ..expensive burger and chips ..as a takeaway it was rubbish and £20 for a bottle of sauvignon blanc extortionate..never again ..

Fantastic little bar and restaurant. It was operating takeaway only when we visited. 2 fish and chips, 1 stuffed crust pizza and a burger and chips. All freshly cooked. Home cut chips. Very nice.

We have come here ever since it opened whilst staying on site in our Moho. It is always very good but on this occasion the gnocchi was over worked so a little tough, and the chicken, leek and pancetta pie was dominated by the smoky pancetta and was the only flavour. We did enjoy their take on a Seafood Chowder and everything else was up to standard. It is always pleasant here and the service is excellent. We will continue to come here in the future and certainly not allow this to put us off.

Whilst staying at the Knaresborough site we visited the Wanderer, it was a cold Sunday night but the welcome was warm as was the room. Food, drink and service were all very good and my slight issue with a mark on my glass was felt with promptly and efficiently, we invited family members who live in Knaresborough who were also very impressed and when we explained it was open to anyone not just Caravan & motorhome site users they said they would definitely visit again. Wonderful meal in great surroundings.
