Lovely pub just off the A1 near Minskip. We needed a lunch stop and the menu looked good, so we gave it a go. The service was great, the food was well beyond normal pub grub, not cheap, but still excellent value for what it is. Fully recommended and we will be back.

We have been here quite a few times now, probably about 10 in total, and have always really enjoyed the food hence coming back. We have come with lots of friends previously and generally enjoyed it. I had recommended coming with my family over the weekend and was unfortunately really disappointed this time. Pork chop was still quite pink when it got served to us, or really tough to cut and chew. The cauliflower burger was too thick, super doughy and tasted identical to the onion bhadji I had for a starter (which tasted superb!) but I felt like my main and starter tasted exactly the same as they used all the same sauces. It also came with poppadoms which were not cooked and just left a puddle of oil on my plate. As soon as my plate was put down I could see it was under cooked as they looked translucent, not a solid colour as when cooked. Surprised it was even served like that in all honesty. Considering they don’t have many veggie dishes, and I have tried the sticky mushroom previously on this menu as well and not been impressed (it was like a soup on my plate not sticky at all), I don’t think we will be back on this menu. We would still come back once the new menu comes out, but unfortunately this menu has just not been a hit for majority of the dishes we had. Service was ok. Staff were very friendly, but service felt a little slow. First few times we asked for more water we only got a bottle between 6 which only filled up 3 glasses. Eventually did get 2 bottles when we asked for more. General atmosphere was great and always is. Dishes we did enjoy: Onion bhadji starter Monkfish Lotus biscoff cheesecake

Decided to go here on a whim after some recommendations from friends, and we are so glad we did! Greeted straight away and shown to our table. Friendly staff and drinks arrived promptly. Tables spaced out nicely (for me this is amazing to not feel like you're sat on someone elses table haha). All 3 courses of food were fantastic, and if we had any space left, we would've had more! Great evening, and both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed and will be recommending to others. Thank you!

Came here on a family recommendation, but sadly, it wasn’t the culinary adventure I’d hoped for. Tried the buttermilk chicken, which was generous, but the batter seemed to be on a break—it kept slipping off and left me nibbling on bland chicken and crispy shell separately. If you’re ordering the pork, do yourself a favour and bring a knife that’s up to the job—you might be in for a bit of a workout otherwise! To be fair, some of the starters had decent flavour, but when those same flavours showed up in the mains, it felt like we were on repeat. Could’ve been an off day for the kitchen, but it’s safe to say, I’ll be thinking twice before returning.

**A Sunday to Remember at The Wild Swan** I had the pleasure of enjoying Sunday dinner at *The Wild Swan*, and it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. They were not only polite but went out of their way to ensure every part of my dining experience was perfect, always ready with a smile and helpful suggestions. As for the food—what a delight! Every dish was bursting with rich, full-bodied flavours, expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The roast was tender, succulent, and perfectly seasoned, while the sides were equally impressive, complementing the main course with vibrant tastes and textures. Each bite was a testament to the chef’s passion and skill. In short, *The Wild Swan* offers an outstanding dining experience, combining impeccable service with truly flavourful cuisine. I can’t wait for my next visit!

Visited here as part of a very large group ( c 24 I think) . The service and the food quality was excellent. My only criticism would be that the portion sizes are huge. I had the steak and ale pie which was yummy but massive. It was too big for me and I’d normally have more veg and less carbs. But everything on the plate was delicious They were able to serve us all quickly and the food was all hot and fresh. The fish pie looked amazing too

1st visit to "The Wild Swan" at Minskip. What a gem of a find. Booked in for lunch last minute. The pub looks very inviting from outside. Busy carpark, always a good sign. On entering the bar we were greeted by bar/ waiter( sorry didn't get his name). Very approachable and courteous. Shown to vacant table in bar area. Given menus along with daily specials option. Drinks order taken and served whilst we perused the menu. Great choice of starters, mains, light lunch offerings. After some difficult deliberation , decided on the fish pie and wild swan burger. Food arrived in good time. Wow, both meals looked very inviting, piping hot and tasted even better. You can't go wrong with a burger and a Pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord. My wife had the fish pie accompanied with a nice Chilean white wine X2. Overall a great experience. Everything was as it should be. A lovely village pub, great atmosphere, great food, great staff. Can't wait for Sunday lunch next week. Keep up the great work. Highly recommend

First views of pulling into the swan was delightful seeing plenty of happy customers entering and leaving knowing full well me and the family were going too have a good first experience. The front of house staff are very polite and helpful. For a Sunday menu compared too other pubs/restaurants it has a wide range of wonderful food. Too start I had belly pork bites, bedded on a delicious salad topped with sticky sauce which had my taste buds going wild ready for my main course. The meats on the carvery are too die for, all top quality meat accompanied by all fresh and home made components too make the Sunday roast amazing. All of this topped of by a homemade ‘gf’ brownie, gooey yet kept its shape 🤤 if you want a Sunday roast and not too be let down by dry or microwave meals I would highly recommend the wild swan, the head chef ‘frazer Ross’ seriously knows what he’s doing compared too people in the past.

Oh dear, lots of faded, plastic flowers and foliage everywhere greeting you outside at the front, kerb appeal took a plummet. Extremely bright, modern, clean decor within though, with very posh loo with lovely flooring. Some parking to the front with a bit of additional parking space at the back of the property. Has outdoor seating front and back. Bar room to the left, with dining room to the right. Handpulled cask beers were Black Sheep, Timothy Taylor's Landlord and Ilkley Brewery's Mary Jane. Looked twice when I saw Wild Swan Burger on the menu, yikes, all swans are wild and you can't eat them as they're the queen's, or rather kingioh's now. Dohhh, Wild Swan is the pub name! They serve octopus.... super brainy, sentient creatures..... Not a huge choice for vegetarians on the mains, a £16 cauliflower burger or a beetroot risotto for £20.... gasp, must be gold leaf rice. I just had a brew.

In a slightly differently, it’s as good as the general Tarlton, and I cannot pay it a higher compliment than that. The lady and gentlemen, who run it are top class, interested in you without being patronising, concerned that you are having a good time and enjoying your food without hanging around you like a bad smell, thoroughly professional (and the lady is a smasher as well!)

We only popped in for a sandwich stop and drink during a recreational walk. We were warmly greeted and seated as details of the menu were explained. The food came promptly despite a warning that there might be a delay due to proceeding orders. The Rare Roast Beef sandwich was excellent, nicely seasoned, accompanied by a small, leaf salad and coleslaw. Due to a dairy intolerance, puddings can be a problem, but the chef himself explained that the chocolate cake was dairy free and served with vegan ice-cream. It turned out to be ridiculously light and flavoursome. We were so pleased with the experience that we immediately booked for lunch the following week. Great experience, excellent value.

You have heard the saying, you get what you pay for. Well not at the Wild Swan you don't. YOU GET MUCH MUCH MORE THAN YOU PAY FOR. Restaurant quality food at its best. Drinks at bar prices no extra ordinary markups on wine here. Exemplary personal service, and the smartest, cleanest toilets. Now if they take such great care of this facility imagine how fastidious they are in their kitchen. Back ground music is just loud enough for those who you like that sort of thing, and quiet enough to be ignored by those who don't. Unlike most high street eateries they don't embarrass you with that so called optional gratuity on the bill. Go on give it a try. When you do, you'll understand how much we enjoyed it, and why we have bothered to write this review.

We went here on the way past after a afternoon of walking in the Dales, on recommendation from a family member. The car park is a bit awkward with the bays at chevron style angles, and with a few other patrons parking badly meant it was difficult to park, but perfectly doable with some shuffling. As we had our dog we were seated in the bar area, and everyone was very friendly towards her. The food was not what we were expecting, it was amazing. I did not take photos of our starters but they were definitely a step up from pub food and more towards restaurant standardard/fine dining. The mains, pictured, were delicious and ample portioned. I, due to a weird obsession, had a Steak and Ale pie which was full of flavour and a proper pie (none of this puff pasty on top nonesense). My partner had an amazing belly pork dish that was cooked perfectly and seasoned to match. The other guests were friendly and the staff were even more so. Lucy and Niamh were fantastic, thank you for making our evening even more enjoyable! We look forward to coming again when we are in the area.

This was going to be my 2nd visit to the Wild Swan. Promised my son after an enjoyable 1st visit on a sunny Saturday afternoon previously. We attempted our visit on an equally sunny Wednesday evening. Perhaps we should have called ahead to book a table. Nevertheless the car park was only half full and inside it didn’t look too busy. We had a large dog with us so headed for the courtyard at the rear but found every table with a reserved notice albeit only a couple of table occupied. We did notice that like the 1st visit, the table in the centre of the courtyard seems to be reserved for the local youth to drink and generally chat to the bar and waiting staff. Not rowdy but definitely louder than any other table in that area. Feels like they are priority above other customers. Not a problem with that as others had called to book. We asked the girl waitress who was there whether any tables we available to which she said she would check but tables were free at the front of the pub. I said that was fine by us and we would reconvene there. After moving and getting the dog settled at a table at the front, I headed into the pub to order. I was met by the same waitress who had directed us to the tables at front of the pub. I told her were we were sat and that we knew what we wanted to order. She then bluntly said that they were not taking any orders for food unless we had pre ordered food and booked ahead. On the basis it was still quite early and the pub tables not full by any means I was quite amazed particularly as she had directed us to the free area. I said we had driven specially to the pub and was only actually wanting a burger and fries and also a fish and chips so not excessive by any means. She suggested we try a pub further down the road which we didn’t want to go to so all in all quite disappointing. It wasn’t long ago post Covid that new pub restaurants were desperate for business though it seems the Wild Swan is quite cocky about how it treats prospective customers. We for one will not return which is a shame.

The rhubarb cheese cake was delicious for desert, it was light and very tasty. The roast dinner was very good and the beef beautifully cooked. The roast potatoes were a BIG disappointment, they were buried underneath the kale/ cabbage/ broccoli veg serving dish and were a soggy mess. Nathan has promised to sort this out with the kitchen.

Great bottomless brunch (ring for details). The service was friendly and very good, we didn't wait long for our order to be taken and for our prosecco to be replenished.

Lovely Parkside cafe, very friendly service with excellent coffee and cakes. , the food looks very fresh and tasty so will definitely be going back to try some. The ambient light is very welcoming and very cosy to sit and relax. There are lots of lovely pictures hanging on the walls and little trinkets toys and cards you can buy at very reasonable prices. Well worth a visit if in Burley in Wharfdale

Great food however took 50 mins to get food, although admittedly it was a Saturday night. Really really nice staff
