Caffe Massarella in Harrogate

Very nice cafe tucked away in NEXT which we visited for a light lunch. Lunch was nicely presented and the staff were excellent. There could have been a bit more variety in the menu, but overall the place was fab. Nice atmosphere and lovely food.

This café has the best cup of coffee that I've had anywhere! The staff are so genuinely friendly and helpful; the company should be proud of them. Obviously well trained in customer satisfaction. Considering the café is in the Next dept store it has a lovely atmosphere and you can look out over the precinct. Limited lunch options, but an excellent coffee place

Hosted inside a Next department store on the 1st floor is this little cafe. Items are reasonably priced and has plenty of choice and seating. The only reason for the slightly low score was that the 'breakfast tea' tasted awful. I do not know what brand you use, but switch to Yorkshire tea when you're in Yorkshire and you can't go wrong lad.

Nice Place Friendly Staff - had tea and a sandwhich - it was quite nice, did the job for a quick break.

What a find! I was with my uncle when we chanced upon this place. I am very glad we stepped inside. The food was divine and the hot drinks were wonderful! The staff were equally pleasant too.

Hi. I just wanted to say thank you to the lovely staff at Caffe Massarellas. My dad has been coming to your café for a number of years. His name was Ian. He had anxiety so liked to go to the same place. Latterly he suffered with Alzheimer’s. The kindness the staff gave my dad was 2nd to none, so YHANK YOU. He sadly passed away last Sunday in his sleep and in peace. Again, thank you to the kind Staff that looked after him.

Called here for a coffee pit stop whilst in Harrogate for a few hours. Noticed that some tables needed clearing but thought would soon be done. However we soon realised this was not the case and we even had to wait until our coffee arrived for the waitress to move dirty cups from our table. Whilst enjoying our lovely coffee we saw one couple blatantly eating their own food and nothing was said.!!!! Also saw staff members bring food and drinks out but not clear any tables !!??!! Staff all friendly but lack of training is clear!

Frequently use this cafe in great location in middle of Harrogate. Nice coffee and they do excellent toasted sourdough. The standout feature is the superb service. Even when busy service is always quick and incredibly friendly, it really is a pleasure to go here. Plenty of other cafes could learn a thing or two !

Visited approx. 3.30pm on a Wednesday afternoon. Cafe was fairly quiet, just wanted a coffee and a nice cake. Decided on a Honey and Bergamot slice and a chocolate raspberry slice. At almost £6 each we were expecting something tasty - the Honey one was ok but the chocolate one was definitely stale. Coffee was very nice, staff were pleasant but I would not rush back. Not exactly a luxurious treat.

This is a very smart looking cafe with lovely friendly staff. I had a cappuccino which was nice and hot. We also ordered an iced tea which he ended up drinking out of the bottle because it came with a hot glass. Perhaps it had just come out of the dishwasher? If they had rinsed it under a cold tap or perhaps served it with ice cubes it would have been an enjoyable iced tea. Tried to read the menu but because it's on the wall and no menus are on the table it wasn't easy to see what food was available had we wished to eat.

Firstly I’d like to start by saying the ladies who work here are all lovely and friendly but the food really let it down, the salad was so dry, plain and tasteless, some dressing would be nice, the coffee was good though.

Visited today on the way back to our car and requested a takeaway coffee on the off chance. We were served very quickly and efficiently with lovely piping hot coffee. Whilst waiting we enquired about the turmeric latte, and without hesitation we’re given a taster. Top class service here. All the team were so warm, super friendly and chatty - which is a rarity nowadays. It was a lovely pop in and we will be back for a proper visit soon. Special shout out to Harry, you were lovely. Caffe Massarella in the Next shop in Harrogate is a pleasant enough place, but as there are no screens or walls separating it from the main shop, you are under no illusion that you are having your refreshments etc in a store. Having said that, it is clean and tidy and the service is excellent. They have a very good selection of sandwiches, cakes etc. as well as a menu of hot breakfasts and light snacks, and my only observation of these is that the hand-written style of the menus that are hung behind the counter aren’t the easiest things to see or read.

Not sure what went wrong today looking at the reviews The new lady (she said it) on the till was very loud when dealing with everybody. Tables not cleared and definetely not cleaned or wiped down. When I said to a young man who had not been actively clearing tables that the tables needed wiping down the look I got was not nice no apology or OK will do just nothing but the look. Won't go there again although I am a Next customer. Disorganised.

Located on the second floor of the Next store in Harrogate.. it's a big area wirh lots of tables and social distancing.. The display counter has beautiful sandwiches and cakes..
