A lovely cafe. We don't live local but when passing occasionally it's lovely to stop for a light bite. We have eaten sandwiches, jacket potatoes, soup and cakes and all have been a good portion size with a suitable price. The produce is fresh so there's nothing else that we can say. Carparking is directly available outside the tea room off road but if this is full - there's plenty of parking on the roads nearby.

Sludgy soup and a not very nice bacon butty. No bill or receipt offered, but £20 charged for what, according to the menu, should have cost about £16. Yes, there is a nice view and a large garden, complete with hens, and parking space for visiting cars and bikes, but watch out for speedy tractors and farm machinery on the narrow roads and lanes, specially if you have dogs or children with you.

Visited easter Friday and was quite poor on this occasion. We had to send coffee back as I think they served us dishwater in error. Panni was cold and cheese not melted, and cakes were not worth the calories. Bacon sandwich was good however. Overpriced as came to £31 for 2 adults and two kids portions. I think they may have charged us for the dishwater. I would say it has been much better on previous visits.

nice setting and cakes good but can work out very expensive for a family snack of 4 cakes, 2 teas and 2soft drinks, and rest at end of a country walk. For same cost or less, you can sit in comfort, in the warmth and have sit down meal, down the road in Otley. however, that is not the point of these tea rooms, they are in lovely setting, "rustic atmosphere" and lovely place to rest if sun is shining. however, they would probably make more profit overall if prices were reduced a little.only open a few days over weekend - definitely closed mid week -a mistake in season.

I've often cycled past the Cock Pit Farm Tea Rooms but never stopped, until yesterday when I was flagging and needed a coffee and something to eat. However, I enjoyed my visit so much that I suspect it'll become a regular stopping off point. The place is certainly cyclist friendly, even having spare locks outside so you can lock up your bike whilst you're inside. The place seemed to be dog friendly with a water bowl outside. There's seating inside for around 30 people and plenty of picnic tables outside. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. The coffee was good, and the chocolate tiffin absolutely perfect. £4 all-in seemed like good value to me in my hungry and tired state and I left significantly refreshed and recharged. As a by-note there's also a range of things they sell such as clocks and mugs. All a bit quirky but would make nice presents.

We moved to Otley almost a year ago, and always like to take friends and relatives somewhere nice and a bit different - this will do nicely! Having walked up through the fields, we were ready for a rest and a cuppa, when we found this unique place, which welcomed dogs and walkers. Warm and friendly (and buzzing with happy people); on such a cold winters' day, we sat at a table and admired all the handicrafts, cards, gifts, etc; whilst waiting for the waitress. Shortly we were greeted with a smile and a box of treats for the dog, which is offered to every dog owner coming in!Originally we'd come in just for a coffee to warm up, but we were tempted by all the freshly prepared food being served (last orders 3.45, as the sign outside proclaimed). So, my partner opted for a delicious bacon buttie, and I opted for a wonderful smoked salmon & cream cheese panini, both of which arrived with the customary smile from our waitress. We left very happy, and suffice to say, will be back, next time to treat our guests!

With regard to a previous review concerning a party of elderly people, there must have been a mistake made by the organisers with relaying information about weekend bookings. Having eaten at this delightful little tearoom on many occasions I have always been impressed with the courteous, friendly attitude displayed by all the staff, making everyone welcome, they also give up their time to raise money for different charities, indeed they are taking part in a sponsored absail on Ilkley Moor on Monday. When the weather is good, it is possible to have a lovely experience eating in the garden, but of course on cooler days space inside is at a premium on weekends. This is a lovely, relaxing place which deserves to do well.

I stopped in for a bite to eat with my husband and son around midday. The food itself was fine and the pricing was fair. The tearoom has inviting décor and the staff seemed polite and efficient initially. The problem I had was with the attitude of the woman in charge, not sure if she is the owner or a staff member. A group of about 8 or 9 elderly people came in looking for some lunch and she was quite abrupt with them, telling them that they did not take bookings on a weekend and that there was no room - a few of the party had already sat down at occupied tables with spare chairs including ours! I did not mind at all. I feel that the staff could have been more accommodating as there were quite a few seats available and I don't think people would have minded sharing tables or waiting for tables to become free. I felt quite awkward at the response really. The group left without much of a fuss although I think they were a bit thrown by the situation and staff attitudes.

What a lovely spot to sit in the sun and refuel. Dogs welcomed, as are children, and it's a nice safe environment for my unruly 2 year old to potter around outside. The food is not exceptional, but it's very good cafe fare, hearty portions and good value. The pear, Stilton and walnut salad is very good. Staff are helpful, chatty and accommodating.

If you are passing this amazing tea rooms stop and chill with the chickens. The food very good to all home made and a lovely pot of tea. Good service and value for money. The bacon buttes are amazing and the salads are excellent. The lady who runs it also does a lot for charities. So you leave with a feel good feeling. You have to try it.

Fantastic place to visit with a lovely environment and brilliant staff. No matter how busy the cafe is, the staff are happy to stop and chat and they do their best to get your order and bring out your food and drinks as quickly as possible with the best quality. Not a great deal of choice for children but good.

Perfect spot after thoughtbubble. Lovely. They have board games!! And a really nice fruity sour beer which you don't see very often, at least not where I usually end up
