The best restaurants in Wolds Weighton East Riding of Yorkshire Yorkshire and The Humber

We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were made very welcome. What a stunning little restaurant, very pleasant place. We ordered the steak with all the trimmings, absolutely delicious, and cooked exactly how we wanted. The staff were pleasant and helpful too. They had a fresh fish board as well as the main menu, with a menu to cater for all and all freshly cooked to order

I've used the takeaway service several times now since covid and the first couple of times was hit and miss. I was not impressed with the plain rather overpriced hot dog. But I persevered and I have now discovered the beef Piri burger which is delicious, their chips are genuinely the nicest I've ever had! However, the 'home made' desserts were really disappointing. They come in a carton with the manufacturer's name on it. Clearly factory made and frozen, very small portion at £3.80 each I feel completely ripped off!

We love these tea rooms. It's a great spot to warm up after a lovely walk, there are so many lovely walks from the village. The soup is amazing, we have it every time. The service is so friendly. The cakes are amazing.

There is little you can do to re-invent a breakfast but these have done a good job. Amazing really, good fried egg, plenty of bacon, best black pudding and really dark, deep beans. This is the extra large brekkie that comes without a drink. Great place, great breakfast. This is a regular motorcycle meeting place and the locality is often patrolled by speed guns. If you are travelling towards the coast from Garrowby Hill this place is in the village on the left. Sorry we took no photos but it was scoffed before we thought about it.

My sister and I had been for a walk and we always tend to stop here for lunch. They have changed the menu and put the prices up again, due to this it does not get 5 stars. I enjoy having scrambled or poached eggs on toast but now you can only have eggs benedict etc which are smothered in Hollandaise sauce (which I cannot have). It's a shame that they are becoming more upmarket, gone away from doing traditional sandwiches and panini's. As for the coffee it's lovely but nearly £4 for a small cup, but my brie & honey panini was delicious shame they don't still do the wholemeal ones.

Llegamos a conocer a los tres chicos Wonky, Roo & Dave enseguida tan soo como llegamos ya que el gato encantador estaba esperando también presentarnos, conocimos a todos los demás animales de granja y Ginge el gato, pero fue 100% las increíbles vacas de las tierras altas que hicieron de este viaje lo que fue. Sad to say, it seems if you know the owner they'll serve them first rather than the line of customers. I'll have to have a very good reason to go back at all.

Bread was stale. Very dry and crumbled in my hands. Not what you expect from couplands. Considering they sell fresh bread I was very upset. Put me off my sandwich. I would have took it back but didn't eat it soon as I left the shop. I was at the other end of Weighton. Maybe if it wasn't raining I'd have gone back

We have had takeaways but not eaten in here for a long time. We weren't disappointed. Lovely food & great service.

Lovely pub with great food. Wide range on the menu. All of the food was great. Lovely atmosphere and very welcoming team.

No honro la oferta que anuncian, tienen una oferta si 2 cócteles por £ 10 3 hasta 5 todos los días de la semana, entramos y los pedimos y nos cobraron el precio completo, cuando se le preguntó al trabajador del bar miró la fecha y la hora y respondieron “oh, simplemente no los miércoles, ya que tenemos una noche de preguntas esta noche” fue risible realmente solo había nosotros también y otras tres personas en todo el pub, no volveremos ya que se hacen parecer poco confiables.

I've never tasted Chinese food so amazing and the experience was so much value for money. The staff and owners are so kind and friendly. I've tasted a lot of Chinese food and this place is Miles above the rest!! Thank you for an amazing food and hospitality experience 😊

Great stop for bikers as they do a breakfast menu from 10-12.(Although i'd definitely stop if I was in my car also.)The owner,the top chef and other staff are super friendly and the food is delicious 😋. The pub is next to a duck pond in a nice quiet small village although I'd recommend booking your meal on a Sunday as the foods that good it gets packed. Definitely worth a 5*.
