An amazing weekend of relaxing!! Cat & Andy were so lovely and attentive! The set up was great with everything you could need for the best glamping experience! The animals were truly lovely - we spent a lot of time with their goats. They where so cute 🙂

People, I just can't say enough about this place, Beautiful surroundings set in the middle of peace and tranquility valley. Three lovely lads, Dave, Roo and Wonky are a pleasure to meet as are the hosts Cat and Andy, but the piece du resistance is the amazing shepherds hut, BBQ and Hot Tub, book up early as places go fast, but an experience you will never forget, already booked up for next year. York is only 30 mins away so again a great location, my fiance and myself had the best of times there. If you have a bucket list then add The Ginger Cow to it right now 👍🏻

My auntie gifted my mum a Highland Cow experience for her birthday but didn’t fancy going so my mum took me instead (auntie K, you REALLY missed out!) When we arrived we were greeted by Cat who is absolutely lovely, and we sat outside to have our afternoon tea as the weather was glorious. There was plenty of delicious food and I drank way too much coffee. After we finished Andy took us across to see Roo, David and Wonk and we fed them carrots from a bucket. We learned so much about the highland cows and living with them as pets. Roo was my absolute favourite while my mum took a shine to David, think she would have brought him home had they let her. We also met the goats too, too cute! Definitely worth visiting if you get the opportunity, and there’s also two air bnbs on the grounds that look amazing to stay in so we may be back! Cat and Andy were so welcoming and friendly, thank you so much for a perfect afternoon 🧡

Getting to feed them and learn about them is so lovely and Andy is so great at telling you all about them and the farm making it a really fun experience! We then got to sit in the sunshine and enjoy the delicious afternoon tea, everything was so tasty! Cannot recommend Ginger Cow Company enough!

Cat ensured everything ran smoothly and even procured a football when she overheard one of our party mentioning they'd like to practice some footie moves. Wow what an experience! Right off the bat we met such a lovely lady who introduced us to the cows (Roo, Dave & Wonky!) we got so much information about them and we even got to feed them some carrots! I even got a cheeky stroke from Roo as well! I’ve loved cows since I was a child and Highland cows have always been my favourite! Next we got shown to our lovely little hut which was so cozy and quiet! There were games, books a VERY comfy double bed and even some home made baked goods! (THANK YOU!) it even has a little diary in there which people had written in which was a lovely touch There is a shower and toilet in there, kettle, sink, microwave and other little bits that you might need while staying there! I can’t recommend enough using the hot tub and BBQ! The fairy lights make it come alive, the Bluetooth is built into the hot tub as well with different lights! LUXURY! All in all it was one of the best stays I’ve had and I can’t thank you guys enough! 10/10 experience

Looking for somewhere to hold our 40th anniversary party we were recommended the ginger cow and we were not disappointed. From the first enquiry to the end of the event Cat could not have been more helpful. The combination of indoor and outdoor space in a beautiful setting could not have worked better on a sunny June afternoon. Cat is more than happy to advise on food and again we were not disappointed. Everything was delicious and extremely fresh. Every one of our 32 quests praised the food and the setting. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect afternoon.

60th Birthday Buffet Lunch and Follow on Afternoon Tea for 30 people. A pre planned event, good up front meeting with the venue with helpful suggestions from them. A good flexible menu was available to choose from and as we had some attendees with special dietary requirements these were included in the plan and delivered on the day. The food was excellent as was the help from the staff on the day. The event ran smoothly and was very successful with many positive comments from the attendees. We had agreed with the venue to provide takeaway boxes at the end which were well utilised by most attendees. A good relaxed enjoyable time, we will happily use them again.

Cat was wonderful. From the start. The venue is stunning set in beautiful surroundings. There is flexibility and a real can do attitude. The food was amazing and tea and coffee kept flowing. We were an eclectic group aged 2-80 we had veggies and a gluten free person and this was no problem. We had children they were no problem. Nothing was a problem and the surprise party went without hitch and moreover was just brilliant. It was very good value. It was so lovely having just us in a space we could laugh and talk and the children could run around. So thank you cat for this special day and some wonderful memories.

After reading all the favourable reviews you would think this place would be heaving but when we went at teatime for a much looked forward to experience, we were disappointed. The place was deserted, and one look at the prices told me why. Over £3 for one tea and £3.50 for a small choc crunch, x 4 would be £26 for four people for a drink and small snack. Yes they may want to close up shop for half the week but to heave up the prices to cover their costs at the expense of the diner is poor. We went instead to a cafe in Pocklington and had a lovely tea in a heaving cafe full to the brim of happy diners, at HALF the price!

Gracias de nuevo a Cat, Andy y The Ginger Cow Team. Todos ustedes son increíbles xxxx.

Luckily this place popped up on social media so having had a walk in the local area, I took my son for afternoon tea - we were so pleased we did! What a perfect place for families with young children. There’s an outdoor area for them to play with toys & plenty of seating. We ended up sitting inside as the heavens opened & it was great because there was no issue with our Pooch being allowed in. The decor of the cafe is lovely, very stylish. We had afternoon tea for 2 - a selection of sandwiches, a couple of delicious cakes each followed by a fresh scone with jam & cream. A good pot of tea was also included & all for £22 which was excellent value. Cakes can also be bought to takeaway (which I did, chocolate brownies for my hubby & younger son & they thoroughly enjoyed them too)! It feels like a real find & we will definitely return!

The building was lovely with lots of windows and nice decor. There is plenty of space for parking. The food was fantastic-great portions and freshly made.i opted for the soup (butternut squash) and half a sandwich which was generous and delicious. Tucked away in the village of Everingham this little tea shop is amazing. Firstly it is very child friendly with a gated and fenced grass lawned garden and an area of outdoor toys to entertain them. It's dog friendly too. Plenty of outdoor seating but may get a bit busy indoors if the weather is bad. Now onto the food - a terrific menu with plenty of healthy options - no fast food here! And the cake choice was wonderful! I think all dietry intolerance are catered for, e.g. gluten, lactose and even had a choice of plant milks if you wanted. I was very impressed with the whole set up.

We were regular visitors to the Ginger Cow under its previous ownership, on Tuesdays when we shop in Pocklington. However, the new owners do not open on Tuesdays, so we made a special trip today (Wednesday). Unfortunately we found it closed, with a sign explaining that it was due to the preceding bank holiday. My first vist here today with my wife and 1yr old daughter. We had the Afternoon Tea for two (£22) and I was able to swap my tea for their delicious hot chocolate. The afternoon tea was superb, very generous and all home made. The sandwiches weren't the typical white bread triangles with the crusts cut off but proper homemade bread, stuffed with a choice of tasty chedder, tender ham and egg mayo. The savoury part also included homemade chutney, crisps and sausage roll. The sweet platter included a delicious homemade scone with cream and jam, a jelly and two tray bakes each. We manage to polish the lot off (just!) with help from our grazing 1yr old. If you don't fancy the afternoon tea they have a wide choice on their menu including some lovely looking breakfast options (until 11.30am). The specials board was also an option. The venue itself is small and it's worth giving them a ring to book a table. They have outdoor seating for better weather and also toy tractors and a Wemdyhouse for the kids to play within a secure fenced grass area you can see from the floor to ceiling windows. Really enjoyed ourselves today, the food was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful and it is very good value. We'll be back.
