People and service were excellent (decor and ambience not so much!) but the food I would rate as below average, for the price that is. £8.80 gets you a not so great version of a full English with just one sausage that is just slightly above a cheap sausage, no hash browns included (pay extra), and (thankfully) no black pudding. The owners need to go visit some other breakfast cafes even supermarkets or Dunelm Pine, or cafe 3 in Heworth, York (eggs Benedict for cheaper), to see what their competition is. If they just bought Asda sausages (6 in a pack) and slapped in some hash browns for that price they’d have elevated their game massively, and maybe grill half a tomato instead of serving mushed up boiled chopped tomato? Would love to eat there regularly if they levelled up. Will be going back to try other things. So this review is based on one trip and a full English.

Thought we would stop for a quick breakfast sandwich, wish we had never bothered. Sandwich arrived swimming in a pool of grease, the bacon tasted like it had been deep fried, along with the mushrooms, the bread bun was the most cheapest awful bread. The cold drinks we had out of the fridge were warm, needless to say we won’t be returning or recommending to anyone to visit.

Stopped here for lunch. I'd always seen the crowds of bikers so was curious what attracted the crowds. I pulled up as the only car in a parking lot full of motorcycles. It was...in truth...highly average. And the coffee was a choice of nescafe instant or from the machine. I took it from the machine and wished I'd gone with the instant! Not at all good.

We've been calling here on our way to Bridlington for over 45 years, the excellent quality never varied. About 18 months ago when we called there were staff we had not seen before, I assume the place had been taken over, the staff certainly were not the same, I dont know what the food had been cooked in, I had bacon, egg and tomatoes, my husband had full english, it tasted awful, we ate what we could and left, vowing not to return. Last Monday.we decided to give it another try, and it was very good, 100%.better than the previous offering, almost back to the old quality.....the staff were very obliging and attentive...will be calling again.

Sorry but we found this cafe to be very average and nothing special . We’ve passed by many times & noted lots of bikers use it but on reading other reviews decided to give it a try . It’s looking a bit ‘ tired’ and drab in parts . The service was good we both had pie and chips , we both felt the pastry on the pastie and steak pie was very hard & dry and the usual frozen chips , which I hate . However at £6:50 it didn’t break the bank . Ok if you’re passing but I wouldn’t make a special trip .

superb traditional family run cafe, with a great atmosphere, great staff that are friendly and very helpful every time we have visited. The menu is exactly what you would expect from a English cafe of years past, basic, reasonable quality and fairly priced. Great choice of drinks and uses Yorkshire tea, even had my Almond milk. Lot's of spacious seating outside, and if you like people watching and looking at Motorcycles, its like a free bike show most days throughout the summer, and everyone so friendly.

We arrange to meet a friend here for lunch as it was half way between us and where they were visiting. It’s fairly unpretentious from the outside. However, there is lots of outdoor seating with a few benches under a canopy. The menu is extensive, so much choice and good options for vegetarians and vegans which was a nice surprise. We had hot sandwiches which came with a nice bit of salad and some lovely coleslaw which was like coronation chicken without the chicken. Never had that before but it was very nice. Everything was hot and the pots of tea were lovely. Staff are very friendly and plentiful. Lots of bikers visited while we were there so it’s clearly popular with that crowd. Only downside, the toilets round the back are basic and full of resident spiders.

On Saturday 19th February I was involved in a car crash on the main road opposite the cafe. It was snowing which helped cause the crash. We went to the cafe for hot drinks and to use the toilet. We explained our situation and the staff were incredibly supportive and helpful. They said we could sit in the cafe to keep warm etc. I passed that way again on Tuesday 19th April so just had to visit for toilet and drink etc. I didn’t say who I was but again the staff were welcoming. I had to buy a couple of items just to remind us all of the cafe - a lanyard and 2 stickers. We’ll do e and thank you

We stayed in the English Oak glamping pod which was very clean, warm and cosy. The location was perfect for us as we were walking the Yorkshire Wolds Way and it is on route. The layout of the pods is lovely with a pond to look out across from the seating area outside the pods. The toilet block was clean and warm and had one of the best showers we experienced the whole week. The onsite cafe was handy and the homecooked food was good and reasonably priced. We even bought some local honey to take home. Mike was an absolute legend! The communication was excellent and his thoughtfulness tremendous. Nothing was too much trouble and he went out of his way to ensure we had everything we could possibly need and more. I stayed overnight at Seaways on their Glamping Site. Booked the site through Pitch Up. Received a great email from Mike confirming how things worked and where I could pitch. The site itself has a great toilet block with really clean and well presented toilets and showers. The kitchen was a godsend at the end of a long walk and has a cooker, microwave, fridge and washing area. I didn’t get in until just before sunset. Mike got me some coffee and milk and shared how the site worked. The pitch was good. Flat grass with plenty of space. Had a good nights sleep despite the site being between two busy roads. Nodded off to the sound of gurgling water in the pond. Being gluten free I’d sorted myself a tea and breakfast which I made up in the kitchen area. In the morning I went in to pay and asked Mike if they did any gf options. It was fantastic to hear that they had a whole cooked breakfast in gf! So I had a hobbit second breakfast and a decent coffee. The cafe is spacious and bike themed. The food options all looked fresh. Mike and other people working in the cafe were really friendly and helpful. If you want to walk The Wolds for a couple of days, or The Chalkland Way, this is a great place to stay. Thoroughly recommend it! The site is really well priced for its standard and location and the food is well priced too.

We stayed 1 night at Seaways Glamping in the English Oak pod on 30th August, we arrived and the pod is located just next to the Car park. The pod itself was lovely, warm, clean and the bed was super comfy. The kitchen was fully equipped and the toilets were clean and the showers were great. My only gripe a small one is the non en-suite pod is the furthest away from the toilet, if you need it late at night, and there are no lights on the path to the Kitchen or Toilet, a few Solar lights would be handy around the pods, pond and Trees. We never ate in the Cafe so can't comment on the food, but it's a Bikers cafe and they arrive from 8am, and the pod is located on the A166 so you can hear them arrive. All in all a great site and we met Mike who was showing other Glampers to their pods, and we would return, but would go for the En-suite one next time.

A very popular the biking fraternity, be that engine or leg powered! Situated on the eastern side of Fridaythorpe village, with views across the Yorkshire Wolds, it serves a huge array of food to the weary traveller or day out blaster. Summer and good weather ensure this place is packed and it's always a good spot for a mug of tea (Large mug £1.60), or something more substantial. The all day breakfast is naturally a popular option. It is served with a herb sausage, two rashers of well cooked bacon, an egg with runny yolk, beans, tinned tomatoes and a choice of bread or toast. All this for £5.50, and I'm sure they will accommodate you, should you prefer less well cooked bacon, harder egg yolk etc. For me, they were perfect. As mentioned earlier, their menu is extensive, with; hot and cold sandwiches, panini, toasties, jacket spuds, cakes and hot / cold drinks.

A fantastic place for bikers of all ages. Large car park, loads of bikes old and new, many friendly people. Food down to earth, wholesome, tasty and served quickly. Orders given at the counter, (they take cards). Eat indoor or outdoor and watch loads of bikes. It must be good, the police eat there too and chat readily with riders. However, they are hot on speeding in the area with unmarked police cars. Only down side are the toilets, which really can't quite cope with the demand, although they are clean but well used. Countryside and roads surrounding the area make it a good choice as a destination if you want a longer run, or are just a hungry type of person or mostly enjoy the biking atmosphere.

we have been going to this cafe for quite a few years now and the owners and staff are really pleasant, also the many bikers that go there are very friendly up until yesterday 17th February, when one idiot in his car cut straight in front of me going into the car park, after he had parked up he decided to walk up to me and my wife as we were heading to the cafe shouting that he had the right of way, when i told him that he cant just cut in front of another car, he decided to get more abusive and started to push me hard in the chest, if it hadn't been for one of the owners coming out and telling this guy to calm down god knows what would have happened. I dont know who this guy is and I hope he sees this review, but I think he needs to go to anger Management because all you did was show yourself up in front of the many bikers that were there

I have seen complaints in other reviews about it being a 'greasy spoon' type café, and so what? they do exist! and there is no shame in that. The views from the seats in the car park are lovely, the air is fresh, and the company to be found to talk to is always

Stopped here for a cuppa....proper Yorkshire tea in a mug and toasted tea cake. Lots of bikers use it so it does get quite busy.

Broke down nearby and parked in the carpark to await rescue, went for tea there as we waited and were met with sympathy and an amazing cuppa (for only £1 each). Really good cup of tea. They also have very clean toilets around the back, and a really good view of the surrounding countryside. Thanks and will have to visit again.

I've visited seaways many times over the years and noticed a gradual decline in quality of food. Good place to meet due to location but to be honest there are plenty of other biker friendly establishments along the popular routes that will give you 100% better quality and value when it comes to food and drink. What drove me to post this message was my latest visit Saturday 4th march. 1x tiny sausage sandwich, barely warm in an under baked, stale and flat bread cake. £3! 2x cups of extremely weak tea that smelled of vinegar. 1x minute tuna mayo Sandwich with a 1970's style salad that must have been from earlier in the week. All in the same tiny, stale and flat bread cake. Think this was over £4. All in all it was almost a tenner for very very poor food indeed. I'll still meet at the cafe but will not be parting with my money again. Step it up seaways, your competition are winning hands down.

This cafe is a regular stopping point for us at any time of year. The staff are always friendly and the food is great value. I would describe the decor as ' retro' and the menu as 'fast food'

Always a good mug of strong milky coffee and tasty bacon rolls. Seating outside in good weather but plenty of room indoors.

A friendly and pleasant cafe for walker, cyclists, bikers and commuters. A great place for bikers to meet especially when the weather is good and you can sit/wander about outside in the large parking area. Good value tea and coffee with a large menu of basic food. Good selection of cakes etc. It's a shame the toilet facilities let it down!

A gem of a cafe, lovely staff, quality food. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, even making up a takeaway salad box and a sandwich to be collected later. Plus the cafe is dog friendly....

We visited over Easter and loved all the little chocolate eggs hidden around the cafe - kept the kids entertained whilst they waited for their food! Lovely cafe with a great menu. We ordered a range of different food but loved the halloumi burger and cheeseburger especially. It’s great that dogs are allowed in this cafe but as we don’t own a dog, even better that there are two areas - one for dogs and one where dogs aren’t allowed. Service was quick and with a smile, reasonably priced too for restaurant quality food. The only improvement needed is the toilet area - could do with a update!

Stuck a pin in a ( google) map to find a breakfast one hour away from leaving holiday accommodation. What a find. Interesting decor showed off the home made cakes and savouries whilst we waited a few minutes for a table. Breakfast avocado with poached eggs on sourdough bread, sun dried tomatoes, chorizo and pea shoots was divine and substantial. Staff were friendly and obviously enjoyed serving and cooking as much as we enjoyed eating. Make a detour. Worth every mile and every penny.
