Brilliant. Love this place. Arrived from Brisbane via Cornwall after the kitchen had shut but they reopened for us. Good food. Great service. Nice atmosphere (welcoming with our funny accents). Good beer. Proper pub. And a smashing burger. Very yum indeed.❤️

Just had sunday lunch at george & dragon at aldbrough. Really lovely, mash, roasties, 3different meats and yorkies, stuffing and 4 different veggies. Really well cooked and lively. Topoed off woth salted caramel cheesecake! To die for. Pub been redecorated, updated, cleaned ans under new management since beginning of year and now a friendly place to visit and cheap too!!!! Well worth a visit. Well done to new proprietors x x

Wonderful and tasty quality homemade food. Friendly and welcoming staff. The best value meal we've had in a long time. The only downside for me is that the George and Dragon isn't closer to where i live. I am currently on holiday in the area.

We were staying in the area and looking for a place to eat on a Monday evening. We could not have been made more welcome, both by staff and other customers. A very kind gentleman helped me park and another moved his vehicle to make space for my car in the car park. This was much appreciated as I had my parents with me who can't walk too far. The food and service were excellent. My mother ordered the homemade steak pie and gave it a bit thumbs up. The gravy was very tasty. All our meals were excellent and very good value for money. We were all full so could not try the desserts. They are dog friendly. We want to try the Sunday lunches and will definitely go back.

Called in on spec. They were really good and pushed some tables together. The place was not crowded but there were customers in at least which is great in these days of dying pubs! Fab pub with outdoor play area and tables as well as leave dining area and plenty of TVs showing the sport. We ordered BBQ baguettes, a pizza, lasagnas and hunters chicken for 6 hungry people! The pizzas are huge!!!! The food was fab but it took over an hour to arrive which was a shame because we were starving. They were very kind and offered a free round of drinks. We'd go again for sure when we're next up this way.

We had sunday lunch it was so tasty and plenty of it had 3 meats yorkshire puddings roast potatoes mash 3 vegetables extra gravy stuffing and apple sauce Also hubby had hunters chicken he enjoyed that also and i tried his chips they were the best I'd ever tried We will definitely be returning the next time were there or in hornsea

The George and Dragon is a nice traditional village pub. There is a good range of beers, larger and cider, including 2 cask conditioned hand-pulled real ales. The cask ale was in excellent condition when I called in. It is a nice cosy pub with several rooms. There is a real fire in the bar. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There are bar games, a pool table, dart board, and outside seating. I haven't eaten here, so I can't comment on the food. But the pub is very popular and dog friendly.

Popped in on Sunday on the off chance for a meal. Well cooked meal and generous helping,cheerful staff, will go back again.

We called in today with a lady i look after. We thought it was a lovely friendly local pub. Pleasant surroundings and friendly people. Would visit again.

Popped in as was staying local. Couple of pints and steak and chips. The steak was one of the nicest I have eaten in a long time and the staff were helpful and friendly. The reason for the 4 star on service was the 45 minute wait for that steak.

What a transformation of the pub with the new owners. The pub has been modernised with all new furniture and looks extremely clean and beautifully done! Friendly owners, great beer and spirit choices, lots to choose from. Fair prices with it been a village pub. Went in on the opening night and they had organised a free buffet to welcome everyone which I thought was really kind. They served their home made pizzas which were amazing. I would definitely reccomend popping in if your passing by you won't be disappointed.

Nice clean, and quaint, little village pub. That's very friendly and welcomes family's, children and their pet's. Grate service, grate food, grate people. Dinning area. Bar are with pub mascot, Dolly the parrot. Has exstention to car park, and pool table, dart's area.. outside seating, fenced garden with jungle gym, the owner rescues wild animals,. Say hi to Hattie the owl, located out back. I'm not sure about wheelchair accessibility, so would be best to check prior.

Great food, wonderful staff and a happy atmosphere.

Poor carvery food. Arrived at 4pm and the carvery was open until 5pm. No one else eating so all food was covered with foil. After receiving plenty of carved beef we moved on to the veg and all looked fine. Once at the table it became apparent that the beef was too tough to eat and the veg had been kept warm for a while. After complaining we were not charged but offered a replacement meal. We chose to go elsewhere. Looking at the other reviews it would seem that this is not the norm and maybe if we had arrived earlier when all the food had been freshly served all would have been good

Just been to the George and dragon with the family there was 7 of us the food was amazing everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was excellent very reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommend.

We have recently moved to Aldbrough and have been for meals almost every week at The George and Dragon and always enjoyed them. I would recommend the The George and Dragon both for their scrummy food and also the friendly staff.

Enjoy the wednesday night quiz, a friendly night and a great laugh. The karaoke is also good night. Nice staff
