Bit dingy lighting, given that the cafe is deep back to front. The teacake was delicious but only scantily buttered and not around the edges, so ask for extra butter. A serviette would have been nice. Taylor decaf tea was extra weak, ask for an extra tea bag to get a bit of taste

My colleagues and I regularly get lunch and it is always great (recommend chicken passion sandwich or the soup of the day). I often go in to buy a wine to accompany a meal or to ask advice on gifts and I always leave with a great bottle of something delicious that goes brilliantly with whatever I have prepared. Worth going the extra 5 mins out of town for if you are visiting Beverley!

Just have to say how fabulous this bakery shop is bought to fruit scones with cherry and half slice of orange on top wish I had bought more I highly recommend also the sausage rolls visited several times and always wish I had bought more

I stopped here on the way to catch my bus. The lady who served me was polite, professional and friendly. Good selection of both hot and cold drinks as well as snacks on display and at reasonable prices, for the wear traveller. Unfortunately, the waiting area next door was closed, but this didnt matter on a warm and sunny day, but would be different in winter! Will be back again when on my travels.

Foodie Heaven ! Amazing experience. We tried the current seasonal menu which was an 8 course taster experience. The menu only gave a slight hint of each course. The food creations we tasted were unbelievable. This is fine dining at its best. Not cheap but definitely worth it for our special occasion. The service was impeccable, very professional and just the right level for this high end restaurant without being stuffy. It's a shame that more people weren't eating there on a Saturday night. If you love food elevated to another level give Whites a try.

Great craft ales, with one or two among my favourite ever beers. Food is vegan, which isn't everyone's thing. Knowledgeable staff are always willing to advise on your choices.

Well once again I wasn’t disappointed with supper at this restaurant. Starter - cheese soufflé - lovely but would have appreciated a warning about the intense heat of the dish it was served in - burnt my fingers! Sea bass was absolutely lovely. Ice cream was totally yum. Brilliant evening - lovely food, nice place to eat, staff were lovely.

I was attending a monthly meeting, held in one of the function rooms above the bar. I usually have 2 pints of 0% lager, which is on draught. The ambience of the bar is very pleasant and with no music playing one can have conversations with ease. The staff are very busy so you might have to wait a little to be served, but the greeting is warm and friendly. I have only eaten the food at our Xmas party, but it is very tasty.

On a cool but sunny Sunday morning Cafe V was doing a roaring trade with lots of customers inside and also at the tables outside. It was lovely inside with lots of tables for two and nicely decorated with a variety of artwork. So much choice in the cake cabinets! My husband had a slice of what has to be the largest custard ever made!😹 In theory I wasn’t having any cake myself but I ended up helping my husband to eat his custard… Pleasant and efficient staff; will be back!

Excellent service, attentive staff and excellent food. Website booking function was showing as not avaliable on the bank holiday, but we risked it and turned up anyway, really glad we stopped in on our way through.

Went for my birthday, it was a quiet Sunday evening, but they made us so welcome. Every dish is fresh and piping hot. They have a superb gluten free menu, so nobody is left out. It’s an extremely authentic dinning experience.

Called in for breakfast just after 9 am I had a full English and my wife had eggs benedict. Both meals were excellent and service prompt and polite.
