We often visit this cafe when we go to Beverley. Service is great and nice menu choices with lots of specials . It gets very busy over lunch time so might be worth reserving a table

We held a birthday party here, and it was fabulous. We were so very well looked after and accommodated. The bar staff were friendly, and worked hard to make sure no one waited long. Huge thanks for a brilliant night in a fabulous pub! Cheers!

My parents love this cafe and come every year when they visit Beverley. I joined them this time and I was genuinely shocked by the attitude of the member of staff who greeted us- she basically told my 80 year old father to go and wait outside in the cold as he was in the way, snapped and told us that she couldn’t guarantee a table for a while, ( one was ready literally two minutes later) and was bellowing this as though we were children lining up in the playground. Interestingly, her attitude was markedly different to two dogs outside, who she called “sweetheart.” She was so horrible, that another woman also commented on this, who was waiting. The other staff were lovely and couldn’t be further removed from this horror. The food was fine- nice, lovely soup and sandwiches and the waiter that served us was lovely. But- I am sure this woman on the door will just put people off- I would really get her to do something else, as no one goes to a cafe for lunch on a Saturday to be made to feel an annoyance. Blond woman with glasses- there is just no need to be so horrible.

Our visit here was very nice , the food was very taste and the I the white mocca was lovely, the bit that counts was all good but why do companies think it’s ok to refuse to take cash it’s our legal currency and they have no right to refuse it!! I think they should review there policy on it, it’s put me off coming again.

Unfortunately first and last time. Waited 10 minutes for a table, which was fine, ordered food and drinks, 15 minutes wait for first drink then brought my husband’s orange juice and we had to ask for his tea, not quite sure why all the drinks were not brought out together. Having waited 40 minutes and no food arrived, despite people that came in after us were sat eating I was informed that it was because I was having eggs!!!!! Sausage sandwich and scrambled eggs arrived. I ordered poached eggs. Needless to say I offered to pay for our drinks but said we would not be eating as after the long wait wasn’t going to sit another 40 minutes. They didn’t charge us for our drinks but the whole experience put us off going again. It is animal friendly, we are animal lovers but there was a lady with a dog that she let walk on the table and it also weed on the floor and if the manager hadn’t noticed they would not have said anything. Such a shame as we prefer to use independent shops

I’m not sure when he set off but very late, food cold and reheating with salad not great. The driver efforts to locate appreciated but the address and location map clearly hadn’t been followed, not had any delivery issues for sometime.

A happy customer. All good. Nice menu. Polite staff. Good customer service. A nice watering hole for both visitors and Beverley residents. Highly recommended. Enjoyed the hot Meal Deal yesterday. I had the tasty fish & chips with mushy peas and a perfect pot of tea for £8.25. Thank you for the relaxing experience in nice surroundings within Saturday Market. 10/10.

A busy bar, the corner house strikes the difference between authentic old man pub, and plastic family pop up... The corner house is an excellent pub that walks that line and it shows, being packed and popular. Well deserved and lovely

Absolutely faultless from start to finish! We booked and I’m glad we did as they were full there wasn’t an empty table in the place for the whole of our visit. It is the best Chinese meal (I’d go as far as to say up there with one of the best meals in general) I’ve ever had and as someone who regularly visits Michelin guide restaurants I’d say that’s pretty hight praise! I had one of the cocktails and again it was absolutely fantastic, there was also a good choice of non alcoholic options for my partner. The staff were all clearly very busy but this didn’t impact the service they were all lovely, and the service was prompt.

Had a small wait but the food was nice. Got burger and fries. Was worth the wait, also shared a pizza which was also nice.

I gave 1 star for service as it took us nearly an hour! Definitely on a busy night you need more than one girl serving. We was at footy and my son and friend and I wanted 3 chip butties with gravy! We only had £10 on us no cards.We couldn't even afford it. The prices are ridiculous! I managed to get the lads something but I couldn't afford even a bottle of water for myself! A bag of chips £3.20! Why can't you do a cone of chips for kids or for people that don't eat much for £1.50? Since when did chippys charge £3.20 for a box of chips? Are we paying for the boxes? Forks? Bring back chips in a bag wrapped in paper!

Food arrived cold, had to warm up in the microwave. Sauce missing from order. Pasta under cooked. Wish we hadn't bothered 😕
