Durham Ox in East Riding of Yorkshire

We held a birthday party here, and it was fabulous. We were so very well looked after and accommodated. The bar staff were friendly, and worked hard to make sure no one waited long. Huge thanks for a brilliant night in a fabulous pub! Cheers!

The Durham Ox is a traditional unspoiled local. Near where the old cattle market was, this former bass pub has a good range of beers, lagers and cider on offer including two cask conditioned hand pulled real ales. The cask beer was excellent when I called in. It's a nice cosy pub with friendly staff.

Decent local/estate pub, better now its just changed hands to a good manager. Friendly atmosphere, decent beer, toilets are nice and always smell fresh. Beer garden could do with a face-lift

Awesome pub with a fantastic atmosphere, love going whenever I can. Landlady with her husband have a great relationship with the locals and incredibly welcoming to anyone who visits. The beer is great, this pub is an absolute gem. Well done to Kerry and Dave for everything they’ve achieved whilst they’ve been in charge. I would highly recommend that you visit if you are in the area.

Always a warm welcome when we go in. The Wainwright's is a cracking good pint. Landlady Kerry and her staff make you feel very welcome, and the food she lays on is absolutely amazing. So glad as a newbie to Beverley to find a proper local pub.

Hadn't been back to Beverley for many years but popped into the Ox on Saturday and glad I did. As many of you have already mentioned it's a real pub with a good atmosphere and the locals were friendly. Adam the landlord made me feel most welcome and the Wainwright was top drawer. Overall a very pleasant afternoon spent with a nice crowd of people. Phil from sunny Manchester and I must return one day soon thanks

Smashing little traditional pub. Home cooked food at a reasonable price, clean throughout. Will def be paying another visit. Travelling companion said it was the best haddock and chips he had ever had. I mean home cooked chips, who doesn't like them.?!

Excellent beer but not doing food at the moment

Great 'no frills' pub with good staff, good ale and fabulous steaks. Opted for the 32oz which was an excellent cut of meat grilled to perfection. Highly recommended.

Wonderful ale in a nice " local pub ". Food good value for money. Good grub, good ale, what more could you ask for huh

10 oz steak is excellent value for money!, good local boozer for local folk!
