What can I say about this place absolutely the best Indian restaurant iv been in for a long time outstanding everything about it will be back very soon

Lovely friendly restaurant. The food is amazing and cooked to perfection. Every visit you are well taken care of and it feels like visiting family.

It's a really good Indian. Service is good but can be slow sometimes. Really nice waiting staff and the owner is more than happy to accompany everyone. The food is fresh and not swimming in grease. Good selection of drinks and of course there is cobra. Can be dead quiet, but it was nice and busy when we went this time. Always good and fresh.

Enjoyed another lovely Vindaloo main dish tonight. Plenty of milder and just as flavourful main dishes available too if you don't like yours too hot! The quality of their food, in my experience, is always guaranteed. Parking immediately outside the restaurant if there's space or along the length of St Augustine's Gate, the Market Place, the small car park behind Lloyd's Bank or the large car park behind the Queen's Head Public House.

My first time here and I'll definitely be going back, the food is gorgeous.

We recently had a very disappointing experience at Hedon Spice. We were kept waiting for over two hours for our food, despite having two small children (both under 18 months) with us. The staff could clearly see our situation but showed no concern. They repeatedly assured us that our food was coming out next, but after each promise, we were left waiting even longer. The final time they told us it was on its way, we had to wait an additional 20 minutes. When we finally decided we couldn't wait any longer and asked to take the food away (since they offer takeaways), it took another 20 minutes for them to box it up. The restaurant was quiet, and we had arrived as soon as it opened, so there was no excuse for the delay. They claimed to give us a discount, but the bill still came to £140. The only positive aspect of our visit was the young waitress, who seemed accustomed to this kind of poor service and tried her best to be helpful. However, the overall lack of compassion for our young children and the dreadful service means we won't be returning. We have used their takeaway service for a long time without issues, but this was our first and last visit to the restaurant. Additionally, when we asked about baby changing facilities, the waitress informed us there were none. The restaurant is also not accessible for prams or wheelchairs due to the lack of disabled access. To anyone considering dining here, especially with young children or mobility needs, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

The food was absolutely excellent, really good, light, tasty and very well prepared. NOT heavy and swimming in oil like a lot of places. The service was terrible. Waited 1h15m before our starters arrived and 1h40m before our mains and sides arrived. Also ordered Naan breads which never arrived, which was a shame because people say the naan breads are really good. Not impressed with the long wait at all, it spoiled what could have been an excellent experience.

Lovely place. Very nice and professional and always helpful. Never had a bad experience with these guys its such a lovely place.

I did not enjoy my curry from yourselves this time as you did not read the notes and make one korma madrass hot like I specified

This is the first time we have ordered from Hedon spice it was delicious best Indian I have tasted in a long time the portions are good will be ordering a take away from them again 10 /10

Unusual setting (converted chapel or public building perhaps?) but nice food (try the Tikka Naga starter if you're feeling brave) and good service at fair prices

Came to collect from Hull as the reviews looked great.. it was definitely worth it! Order was ready right on time, all the food was very very tasty and much better than any of my local Indian takeaways, and the man I spoke to when collecting was lovely too. Definitely recommend! Im going to bring my friends for a curry night in the actual restaurant :)

I had the worst experience with this Indian restaurant in Hedon. Avoid if you are gluten free and more importantly celiac. The menu is wrongly labelled for gluten. The manager blatantly refused to inform the Chef to avoid cross contamination. Don’t have a clue about gluten but advertised he did and compared vegan to gluten intolerance.

I love this place. There’s always a warm welcome, and the food is consistently good. They do great naan breads & sides and always a nice fresh crisp pint of Cobra on tap. The Gulabi chicken is delicious and mild but packed full of flavour, but for something hotter the Mirchi Mosalla or Naga Tikka are great!

Often had takeaways, but dined in this time. Absolutely delicious. Very cleverly spiced, balanced and really fresh.

We had the £15 each deal last night, 3 of us. Each dish was delicious, very tasty, I had a Lamb dish, lots of Lamb and Chicken in the Chicken meals my wife & son opted for. We was all very satisfied and full, we even brought some left overs home. Cannot recommend highly enough, we will definitely return. Lee/ Lisa/ Will.

Food was delicious, staff on collection where a little ignorant- too busy talking at the desk to notice us, then pointed at/ told to sit down in a corner while they got our food. Starter portion size was abit rubbish, one piece of chicken, one half a sausage and one other piece of meat for 4 quid. Curry was beautiful, lovely quality and plentiful for the value. Didn't like the random food bag with sweaty mixed salad, thought it could be presented better? Overall 4/5. Might try again.

Great food although because it was busy it was a bit slow. Absolutely worth every penny though. Staff are lovely so no fault there. Just a bit too busy for a quick service. Would go again.

Absolutely delicious food. Nice restaurant, clean and comfortable with tasteful decor. Nice traditional music at reasonable volume such that you can still have conversations without shouting. Portions don't seem to be as big as they have been in the past but given how nice it is, it could be that I like it so much I want to keep eating! My only critique of i was to be really pick is that if you're the only table in an empty restaurant... Someone will come in and be put on the table next to you. I don't like people 😅

Delicious food and good efficient service. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal, we were seated quickly, and our orders taken. A good choice of dishes. We didn't wait long for our food. honey chilli chicken was delicious. Only negative was they didn't except our Scottish notes, but we payed by card instead.

Tried this restaurant for the first time today and it definitely won't be the last.The food was first class and the staff were very polite, looking forward to our next visit, many thanks

We always enjoy Hedon Spice. It was a busy Friday night, they forgot my boiled rice, but otherwise all very good.

Amazing food as always. Quality and flavour is always first class. Sadly for the second time in our previous 3 visits I arrived home and dished up the food only to find items missing. Called the restaurant but the best they offered was to return to collect the missing item. But doing that would have meant the rest of the meal would be cold and spoiled. Love the food but Such a shame for a great place to make errors on orders repeatedly.

Forgot to put items in my order but only noticed when got home. Spoilt the meal... Food just warm too with very little chicken. Big shame used to be my favourite place hence choosing it for mothers day.

Went out for a really nice meal, my korma wasnt as sweet as I wanted it but it was still really good and filling. The service was alright but got ignored a few times but other than that it was great. It's a really nice place to dine.

Once again missing q item off the order.Do you realise when you miss food off the order it causes problems for everyone else eating.Having to wait for the rest of a meal.Very disappointed

Food was nice, although breads were cold. Having to wait more than 20 minutes after collection time requested is poor.

Tandoori mixed grill £10.95 very poor no nan as advertised and very small Ordered via just eat before lunch so would be ready at 17.45 this was changed to 18.00 waited 25 minutes when I got there as not ready Food luke warm pickle tray a joke no lime pickle just runny mango chutney and mint dip Very disappointed ☹️. £32 for poor service and poor quality

Food was best i have had for along time

I have left a negative review through food hub, which I cannot amend until my next order (which is 24th December ) This was a total misunderstanding, the takeaway has contacted me and even though the error was on my part ( I thought they did delivery) they offered to refund the order in full, even though it had being cooked. Which is very generous of them. I will review food once I pick up my Christmas eve feast....but looking at the good reviews I'm sure it will be 5 stars. You

Absolutely excellent - by far the best Indian my partner & I have ever had! Food was delicious with adequate portion sizes and the staff were very attentive 10/10 for service as well. We will certainly be back and bringing the family as well!

Lovely food, well cooked and tasty. Particularly enjoyed the tikka my wife had, a nice kick of spice. St tractive restaurant and friendly staff, although I ordered takeaway to collect after a long day beach walking the dogs.
