Lovely little pub. A traditional real pub, great atmosphere and service.

Couple of well kept handpulled beers on every week, and ice-cream during the summer, very friendly pub 🍻

I cannot say anything about service but we were passing by, drove from the city back as in the website was saying they serve food. Surprise we got there I went inside and asked If they serve food, which they don't. Make life easier for everyone just update your website and say no food served. We were with a toddler in the car.

Great pub with good real ales always available. There is an aviary in the beer garden and a pool table in the back room these days. Sandwiches are usually available but the landlord doesn't mind you ordering a takeaway either.

Popped in for a Sunday afternoon drink to break up a long journey. Genuine friendly welcome from the staff and regulars. Nice pub and beer garden, good choice of beers and well kept ale. Will visit again when passing.

Went in, felt like we were intruding. No sign of serving food despite sign at crossroads saying it was served. Left quickly and went elsewhere.

After a long walk stopped in for a couple of pints! Best pint of Lanlords I’ve had in a very long time. Friendly staff, friendly customers and all round proper Yorkshire pub, just as it should be. Great prices too, not tried the food but certainly will be trying with family soon.

Had Sunday lunch today, sat under marque, delicious meal, very tender beef, huge yorkshire and plenty of veg. Very tasty, and good value for money. Even had a heater on. Great to be eating out again. Would recommend.

All I can say is awful Reviews can’t be right Anybody who worked at the ivy would not produce or serve this I had slow cooked brisket it’s the stuff you get out of a bag The mash was tasteless with Oil not butter Chips were soggy for family Meal for rest of family poor Second time I’ve been here ,it was awful for Sunday lunch under old owners I thought I’d give it a go as know new owners Have been running it I came back on the reviews Not for me

Haven't been to Black Swan for a few years. Deciding to meet up for lunch with friends we chose the Black Swan as in the village we grew up in. Well was lovely, really nice welcome from landlord, friendly chatty chap. The lunch menu was very nice with something to suit each of us and have to say meals were so delicious. Definitely will be going again for lunch and maybe sometime evening meal Would definitely recommend

Visited The Black Swan on 16/02/2020. We had the beef Sunday lunch. The food was amazing. I recommend the chocolate brownie! The service was polite and quick. The pub itself was warm and cosy. There are different nights up on the blackboard, curry night etc. I will definitely go back.

First visit to the Black Swan, for Sunday dinner. Very impressed. Food was excellent. Generous portion size, good choice of vegetables. Nice pint for me and all reasonably priced.

My wife and I met with two friends for a meal at the Black Swan. We all had soup starters two different soups were on offer french onion and tomato both soup's were good. For main course we had Sunday lunch two pork lunches and two gammon ham lunches they were fantastic we will be going back for more.

Excellent pre-Christmas dinner served in a homely environment - the Black Swan has set the bar, I doubt it will be beaten!

Wonderful Christmas day hosted by this lovely family. My husband and I visited Black Swan with our 3 young daughters for Christmas day lunch this year. We all had a really lovely afternoon and the food was really tasty. It was such a relaxed friendly atmosphere which is really important when we have young children, we were all able the have fun and enjoy the day. The menu was everything you would want from a traditional christmas lunch menu which was perfect for us. I had prawns which were delicious. The value for money was great, considering the owner's gave up there own christmas day to open the pub for christmas lunch and at such a reasonable price is fantastic. The chef kept coming out to make sure everyone was ok which was a lovely touch. Thank you so much, big thumbs up from us and see you next year. Mrs Allen

£40 per head for Christmas dinner and it was absolutely shocking, myself and the rest of our party left most of it as it was practically inedible. The final insult was when the desert spoons were practically thrown at us.

Great beer reasonable prices. Friendly atmosphere. Family friendly.. but not really in the lounge . Local farmers putting the world to rights. Friendly but swearing....

What a cracking little pub this now is. Inagh & Tony have really turned things around here. Such a warm and cosy atmosphere with great food too.
