Excellent again friendly staff nice rooms

We went both as a couple for drinks one day and as a group for 4 with a wheelchair for a special meal and it was FANTASTIC! The menu was SO exciting for a pub menu, incredibly creative and innovative with beautiful dishes it was genuinely hard to pick one! We went with a seasonal special of the carrot gnocchi which is made in-house, the wellington (specifically incredible) and the venison which was also beautiful! Also special mention to those onion rings, they were fantastic! The staff were also incredibly helpful and friendly! Special mention to Jade, Eva, Eve and Olly (hope I got those right) they really made our experience even better! Extremely accessable with a wide front entrance and easy accomodation moving chairs!

Great hotel, my go to when in Beverley!!

Had a lovely overnight break with dinner and breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel. The cost was higher than some but in our opinion worth it for the lovely decor, cheerful staff and delicious food in good portions.

The service was lovely, and the room I stayed in had a lot of character. Everything was pretty new. The breakfast was served menu-style, where they prepare the meal according to your preferences (so plan some time for that). Overall, it felt a bit expensive as I paid almost €200 per night.

I was delighted to receive a voucher for afternoon tea for two at The Beverley Arms as a Christmas gift. I love visiting the Beverley Arms, it is by far my favourite place to go for lunch. As always the staff were welcoming and helpful but I must admit I was very underwhelmed when the afternoon tea arrived . Afternoon tea usually has the wow factor when it is presented nicely and you normally are told what has been served but that didn’t happen. After viewing the photos online I was really surprised on the appearance of ours there was definitely no wow factor. The sandwiches were two salmon & cream cheese and two ham & mustard each rather than the usual selection you get with Afternoon teas. I have to say the scones were really lovely but the cakes were nondescript and presented poorly. The Beverley Arms is a wonderful place to visit and the food has always previously been exceptional but we were totally underwhelmed by the afternoon tea.

We had an excellent stay and were booked in for one night but added another when there We are going back for a couple of nights next month .The place is excellent .The evening meal was also . All staff are a credit to the hotel and so obviously love working for Thwaites . The hotel is in a great position in the middle of Bevevrley with parking at the rear . Well worth trying if you havent been .

Very welcoming! A table was found for Sunday Lunch even though we hadn't booked and it was very busy. The lamb dinner was delicious. We'll definitely return.

We called in for afternoon tea. Booking is recommended as the restaurant is very busy. Excellent attentative staff made us feel very welcome. We were served a beautiful afternoon tea in beautiful surroundings with opulent decor.

Regular visitors here for Sunday lunch, very disappointed today. Meal was mediocre at best, left over Christmas veggies none of the usual cauliflower cheese. Ordered at 13.05 at the table before my napkin was on my knee. Step it up please 19 quid for soggy christmas veg ! Seriously a letter down.

Great price for the quality and attention to detail , cosy room was still a generous size , modern and comfortable decor , amazing sleep in the comfortable bed , white stuff toiletries , lots of hot drink choices in room . Friendly staff and central location . Food excellent . Could not fault this place and didn’t want to leave :)

Great food and venue in excellent location

Excellent Hotel, a very comfortable room, fantastic dining area, Breakfast was exceptional, staff even wore white gloves to serve the food. Definitely recommend this hotel.

We went there for an anniversary celebration. The setting was outstanding and the staff very pleasant and polite. I have knocked cut back to 4 stars because although the food was perfectly cooked, when it arrived at the table it was much cooler than one would expect. Also the coffees were served before the deserts.

Went for pre dinner drinks. The setting and atmosphere was perfect. The English Champagne on the drinks list was delicious and would highly recommend.

Absolutely gorgeous fab bedroom fab view,lovely friendly staff thanks to Liz and Louise for keeping our room lovely and clean. Yes it's pricey but the whole experience and the lovely breakfast and meals were worth every penny. Already booked again for next year!!

Lunch with friends for my birthday. So lovely. Really enjoyed the time there. The staff were very helpful. Only one problem...they automatically add service?? We are all pensioners so we asked them to remove it....they did. We tipped anyway but it was our choice of amount then. .

Room was very comfortable and well appointed, everything on hand including an iron and board. Lovely White Stuff toiletries not in miniature single use plastic bottles, thank you! Breakfast was delicious, Eggs Benedict with perfectly poached eggs. Waiter that served breakfast then checked me out, lovely friendly guy. A great stay, will definitely start again.

Amazing property, well maintained as a heritage. Staff is very polite and helpful. location in the town, easy walkways and a dedicated parking for the staying members.

My wife and I came to the Beverley arms for my birthday lunch and all I can say is WOW the food was totally amazing, the service was beyond outstanding and our waitress Claire was very friendly, very efficient and caring making our lunch a total joy.We will certainly be back.

A really busy Saturday morning and the friendly staff looked after three adults, two dogs, and a monster buggy with a toddler and a baby. Drinks, crisps etc arrived swiftly including a much appreciated babycino. Excellent as always

Late Mothers Day lunch. Quality setting, and everyone enjoyed their food.

A very indifferent experience for what was a stunning venue on the inside and well designed. Chose the 'Thwaites beer battered fish' with chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce. It was tasty, but really greasy. My wife ordered a double portion of the starter pasta dish that they planned to serve as two courses. However, she chose not to have it twice after one portion. It was bland and tasteless, and was essentially overcooked ricotta pasta with some bits of butternut squash in sauce. The service wasn't great and the staff were not visible at times, even though they were just stood at bottom. I had to get up and walk across to them a couple of times. They overcharged us for two pastas even though we cancelled one, so they had to knock it off the bill. A great venue, but a disappointing experience. It may be better for just having a drink.

The thing that let this place down was the total disregard of putting Happy Mother's Day on our receipt. I am neither a mother nor do I have one, so I was quite upset at this inappropriate comment. That's why I've rated this place as ok.

Stayed here a number of times, and the staff make a point of remembering us. It's much appreciated.

Excellent hotel, which has a long history but has been refurbished to a high standard. Rooms are great and the restaurant evening meal I had was really great. In the centre of Beverley.

Enjoyed my stay rooms reasonably priced, beautiful clean and tidy rooms, everyone was so helpful, has a carpark within, large nice outside space, and right on the town so plenty of places to explore, really enjoyed my stay! Highly recommend
