Highly recommended, friendly staff. Fantastic atmosphere

Great little bar/cafe style eatery, with a good selection of cakes and lunch time snacks, great atmosphere, friendly staff. All food was cooked fresh after ordering. I would expect the atmosphere to be equally as good on a night if just having a drink. The only minor negative really and would have only liked to have knocked half a star off, was food order was a little slow to have been taken and arrived after ordering drinks - but all food was cooked fresh with an excellent tomato sauce to bacon ratio. For sure will pop in again.

What a lovely place this is. We arrived with a group of friends for coffee and cake ( which were amazing) , lovely warm welcome, relaxed friendly atmosphere. Great music. We ended up having a few drinks, lovely cocktails and it was all really well priced. Thank you Beach House staff for making us feel so welcome. We can t wait to visit again. A must if in Pocklington !!

I've not had food here ,the drinks are lovely nicely served ,always clean ,the staff are lovely.

Lovely warm welcome, staff were really friendly. Food was fresh and tasty. We had Pulled Pork with mozzarella toasted and Nachos and chilli.

Fantastic place. Fish finger sandwich is to die for. Everything 5 star. My wife says halloumi sarnie was top notch.

Called in for a cocktail, and when we couldn’t decide which one we wanted, asked the waitress if we could have a Mudslide (which we had in Florida). The girl asked the manager and sure enough, we were presented with a lovely drink - Vodka, Kahlua, Baileys and cream over ice. Great service😀

Great service staff very friendly

Went here for a quick lunch with the family. The decor inside is tacky, with plastic-clad walls displaying surfboards and shells, among other things. Its obvious intention is to be exciting, which is totally fair, but I question the execution and it ended up feeling like we were sat in SpongeBob's house (not the worst thing in the world, if that's what you desire). Our table (and most others) was situated near the toilets, which sadly had a thin, western-style door with gaps above and beneath This meant the meal was interspersed with the offensive boom of a hand-dryer, as well as a hardly noticeable though underlying toilet-cleaner-like stench. The food was pretty poor, characterised by Walburtons seeded bread and Heinz chicken-soup, as well as slightly old tomatoes and wet lettuce. When we asked the waitress over the soup's freshness, lied to us and told us it was fresh whilst running away before we could challenge her again (it was obviously Heinz, we've had that soup many times). More on the service: we had one very good man, a younger lady who was kind, and a lady who was less receptive and at points rude (the very lady who lied about the soup). 2010's greatest hits were pervading the establishment at full volume, and as one of us have APD, a hearing-disorder triggered by loud and consistent noises, we asked them to turn it down, to which the waitress obliged. We couldn't notice a difference, and so we asked again, to which the waitress gave a moody "uh" and a grimaced expression, eventually obliging once more. It then got to a more reasonable level, though still was still a bit of an annoyance. Overall not a very nice experience. EDIT: The response to this review is quite obviously and unreasonably malicious, hence the character of this establishment is shown and my point proven on the moody customer-service. Though, I must say, the tap water was delicious and the perfect temperature.

Brilliant little cafe with some quirky decor which makes the place such a good vibe! The staff are incredibly welcoming and always go that little extra to ensure you enjoy your time there.

An amazing place clean. friendly staff decor is amazing like sitting in a cocktail bar abroad food is scrummy cocktails lush. And home baked cakes are delish. A defo must to visit if your in the beautiful town of pock xx

Called in today as usual cafe was full .had a Cumberland sausage sandwich and a bacon sandwich .the Cumberland sausage was nothing like i any Cumberland only in shape it was a dark brown coulor and did not tats nice. The bacon sandwich was faty and not quality bacon. On the plus side the coffe was nice

Couldn’t have found a more appropriate bar for our theme than this one. We really felt we were on holiday. The staff really friendly and made us really welcome. Us girls really fitted in as we were dressed in summer clothes and obviously had to have the cocktails. Just brilliant .

The girls booked this place for my hen party, there was 18 of us. They worked out a quick system to ensure everyone got drinks quickly. They brought out a drink with a sparkler in and popped on celebration by kool & the gang which really perked our little hungover group up. We honestly were so well looked after it, we've all been talking about how amazing it was. We will definitely be visiting next time we are in the area. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us!

We visited here for a snack and a smoothie with the little one. Gluten and dairy free nachos were served and delicious! Also, the smoothies are to die for! Very fruity and fresh! Would highly recommend.

Never disappoint - whether it's tea and cake, breakfast share platter or crispy bacon butties, lunch sandwich or just a drink/cocktail. Great team, brilliant service, delicious food and great atmosphere.

Visited here after moving to Pocklington and really enjoyed our time at The Beach House. Great selection of drinks to choose from and the decor/music make you feel like you are on holiday. The food was very tasty, we both had Pizza, and was complemented by friendly and welcoming staff, just wish it was open on more days of the week.

We visited here for a couple of drinks while passing through Pocklington. It is full of fun beach house themed items with a quirky cocktail menu to match. The prices are really fair and we were surprised by the huge glasses the cocktails came in! I would recommend this place to anyone due to the wide variety of drinks as well as tea and coffee options. If I was in the area again I would visit and try a slice of one of the large cakes!

Great place to relax and have a tan in the tanning booths, 2 stand up and 1 lay down. Excellent food and a good selection of beers, wines ,cocktails etc. Friendly owner and staff.

At first glance from outside the luscious cakes caught my eye, but it was a little puzzling to realise that the 'cafe' was named the Beach House and was decorated like a beach shack ... making me think of Caribbean rum parties! Still, those cakes looked good and I needed a good strong coffee. What I got was GREAT coffee, nothing wishy washy here. It felt a little odd to sit watching 6 nations rugby in a beach shack with people popping in and out to use the sun beds ! But that just added to the friendly and quirky vibe. I just wish I'd had the time to sample some of their food and cocktails.

We had a couple of coffees here as wee walked around Pocklington and luckily for us the had the six nations rugby on at the time so we were happy. The coffee was excellent, lots of beers as well, seems a nice place to visit

Called in early evening because too late for my usual cafés. Just had cappuccino, but was made to feel very welcome despite my age being at least double that of the typical clientele! Lovely staff.

Food and drinks are good but it's really noisy inside so you have to shout to have a conversation. Not a good place if you want a quiet meal.

Very friendly bar on the main Street. Excellent Staff and good beers and food. There is also the tanning booths if you want to improve your tan. Well worth a visit.

We came across this cafe/bar whilst wandering around Pocklinngton, during the bank holiday weekend. It wasn't very busy, and we called in for two very welcomed cups of coffee. Pleasant staff member was chatty and helpful. Our table was unsteady and my husband managed to spill his coffee a few times. The waitress happily supplied us with several beer mats to place under the table leg to remedy situation. It's a bright and cheeful place with on trend decoration. Worth a visit.

Fun and lively cafe bar based on a sunshine and beach theme, brilliant staff, good music and a great selection of cakes and snacks, they have a good choice of beers, cocktails etc, cold and hot drinks. They also have a tanning salon with state of the art sun tan beds.
