The best restaurants in Yorkshire and The Humber

Not cheap, but perfect for a special occasion, especially if you love seafood. Had a wide range of choices you will not find anywhere else.

Had a couple of meals from Kirkgate Chippy now… (not local, but do treat myself to a chippy when tramping in Tad)… every item I’ve had has been delicious… went all out this time for the fish and chips. There was not a regular sized fish at the time available but were only too happy to serve me a large, (charged at the same price) which I really appreciated, they also had a deal for a free pot of mushy peas. I’ve been to some good chippys over the years but the fish from Kirkgate is by far the best I’ve had! The batter and fish itself was perfect, normally I love a bit of tartar sauce on the fish but didn’t have any nor was there a need! The service from the staff is always a nice experience, with a warm welcome and a friendly vibe. I look to future visits when in the town. 👍🏼

Great traditional pub selling wholesome food at great prices. The portion sizes were enormous! Great atmosphere and wonderful staff contribute to this being an all round Fabulous Yorkshire boozer xx

Had an amazing experience at Junoon Cafe in Bradford! The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The shisha was outstanding—smooth, flavorful, and definitely one of the best I’ve tried. The atmosphere was super comfortable and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to chill with friends!

Nos recomendaron The Miner's, así que pensamos en intentarlo por un cumpleaños familiar. Wow! ¡Qué lugar! Al cruzar la puerta nos transportaron de vuelta a una época de pubs adecuados, con el olor de la hermosa comida del pub. ¡Fue genial ver un negocio local bullir un viernes por la noche! Desde el momento en que entramos por la puerta tuvimos una cálida bienvenida y nos trataron como amigos. El servicio era excepcional y el ambiente muy relajante. ¡Entonces está la comida! ¡Fantástico! Comida casera apropiada. Maravillosos y impresionantes tamaños de porción. Mi marido tenía la hamburguesa del minero. ¡Fue épico! Si quieres buena hospitalidad en el viejo Yorkshire y comida increíble, tienes que ir a The Miner's. Definitivamente volveremos!

First visit , tried the homemade lasagna which was really good, had an oat latte ( tasted a bit weak,but it might be just personal preference) . Had the soup of the day which i enjoyed the most ( it was a tomato and red pepper soup) . Staff was friendly and helpful I have been looked after.

Female cashier buttered my tea cake without washing hands. Touching money is dirty. Basic hygiene training required.

Lovely little café selling hot drinks, cakes and breakfast/brunch. The staff were really nice and helpful! They also have good vegan options, which I really appreciate, especially for such a small town café :) The flapjack was good — not too sugar-y like many flapjacks are. Couldn’t resist also getting some handmade earrings from the range of art/crafts/food gifts on sale.
