Cross Roads Fisheries in Bradford

I ordered scampi and chips (£7.40) yesterday evening. The meal was prepared quickly and I got 12 bits of scampi with my chips. The staff were happy, the meal was well cooked and tasted fine. Thank you.

Stayed in the village for a couple of nights and hade a take away. There was a queue upon arrival (Always a good sign in a small village), the girl serving was very prompt and clearly been doing it a while based on her wrapping speed! The fish was a good size and the batter nice although a few uncooked parts of batter but nothing too drastic. The chips were very good as were the mushy peas. Very glad we went.

I must say thank you to the two ladies in the shop at the time of my order for confirming that there food is amazing, this was the best decision ever there food is amazing got myself the fish and chips and man did i enjoy it. One of the best fish and chips i had in a while

Very friendly and efficient staff. We had a large order and everything was cooked fresh. Haddock was excellent and chips cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend.

I'm not a food reviewer BUT I know my fish absolutely first class fish, from the crunch of batter to the beautiful white perfectly cooked flakes of the fresh fish I've had for a long time. well worth a visit if I was a food reviewer I would definitely put my experience 9.8 at the very least

Got fish and chips for my granny's birthday. The fish was shocking it was really small and had no flavour the only nice thing was was the curry sauce and mushy peas.

been a regular for over 30 years, got fish and chips tonight for mums birthday chips good portion as normal the 3 fish was like goldfish size, will be trying else were in future, don't mind paying good money for good food but tonight highly disappointing.

This is not my local, im sure my local fisheries are very good. HOWEVER crossroads fisheries are second to none .we always get fish bites and every time these have been perfect Well worth a visit

Friendly service and great quality fish and chips. Two types of curry sauce and they're both lovely. Lots of choice here and portion sizes are large. Possibly the nicest fish chips curry n peas I've had in years.

Spoilt for choice with good fish and chip shops around this area. As such, theres no need to tolerate the attitude and snotty service dished out at this place.

OMG best EVER Fish n Chips we’ve ever had. A rare treat as it’s usually far too greasy, too much batter, (but we live down south). So, to clear our plates is unheard of. The batter was light and very tasty, the fish OMG cooked to perfection, plump and full of flavour and the chips were just as good. Piping hot and well worth every penny. We will without a doubt be coming back when we return to our favourite part of the country next year. Thank you so much 😊

I ordered scampi and chips and they were nicely prepared and filled the large box that they came in. The prices are acceptable here and the portions good. The queue is often outside the door .....a good sign. Recommended.

Visited here 1st time and will definitely be back. When I arrived, the queue was down the road, but quickly went down. Once inside the shop, a lady took my order, She went to get a fish for the fish butty and I actually thought it was a special she gad given me ! The portions are mahoosive! The fish n chips were absolutely beautiful and will definitely be returning 😋 😍

The food is always excellent here and service is very efficient. Good opening times especially compared to some in the area. Fish batter is crispy and portion sizes are large.

This is a must when I come to Haworth every year. I opted for scampi and chips which was £6.30 on a Friday evening. I got twelve bits of scampi and a tray of chips, all well cooked and very tasty. A wonderful experience and clearly popular with the locals as there was a long queue outside the door.

One of the best places around for fish, chips, jumbo sausage and curry sauce. Highly recommend and they do get busy. Keep up the great work. 👍🏻

Chips are fine - lots of them. Fish - not so much. Large portions but not great. Batter is dark and hard.

Bit of a mixed bag. Fish was excellent, good size, crispy batter etc. But the chips were a bit meh. Next time i'm gonna have the jumbo fish, its massive, and pass on the chips. I'd happily try again. Oh and no scraps!! Loses a star for that 😁

I've used this shop for a long time 30+ and always enjoyed the food. But on my last visit, the food was outstanding. The best we've had ever! I've noticed recently that on nights this shop is open - there's often long queues outside. One customer said the last time she called in - the queue went right around the corner! So it's not just me that's noticed just how good this place is.

Excellent. Reasonably priced, food cooked while you wait and the menu is huge and diverse and hangs on the wall behind the staff. There is plenty of choice here. I've had scampi and chips a few times recently and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Recommended.

A massive menu all clearly displayed on the back wall Food reasonably priced and decently served and no long waits for what you have ordered. I ordered chips and scampi (12 pieces) and it was well cooked and tasted fine. No complaints at all.

Called for lunch today. A warm welcome in a spotless establishment. Fish, chips and Irish curry, and fish and chips = £15-85. The fish was wonderful, chips excellent and the Irish curry delicious, good sized portion, a little deceptive in my photo due to the trays being very big. Highly recommended.

Discovered this whilst having a ride out in the car, we had the fish and chips , we will definitely be making the 40 mile round trip again soon as it was delicious. Also the two ladies who served in the shop were very welcoming 👍

If you want hood value for money this fish shop as best fish chips around lovely batter and not fatty.fish so big you can feed 2 with 1 fish chips and rest of meals really good and served in nice roomy long boxs.plus good prices .just 5 mins down road from upwood holiday park .

Bloody awful. Think the fish must have been sat under the warming/draining thing for ever and was dry as a nuns you know what. Server was a bit miserable too. Shame because I've had a decent one there before. Inconsistent i suppose

Had fish and chips today and they were horrible the chips weren't cooked long enough and were cold and still hard. The fish batter was thick and under cooked. Went to crossroads as normally really nice but after today won't be going back unfortunately

Really regret spending £55 on Fish & Chips here. Most of it ended up in the bin. Bad food served by grumpy staff! Obviously the queue outside was down to Covid.

Tried this place twice now and both times I've had undercooked mushy chips.

Visited on Saturday, to grab my dad some long overdue fish and chips. Doing a great job of managing the current state of affairs Pleased the only option open on a Saturday is so good.

This is your typical little Chippy that has queues out of the door on Thursday and Friday teatimes! Basic fish & chips is always cooked perfectly and costs £5.20! Portions are so good that my husband and I share one! The fish is always flaky and usually haddock with crispy batter, although cod can be requested if you can wait. Chips are always kept hot and are never pale and floppy. I like mushy peas too and they are always soft and mushy, never like bullets with skins! They do lots of other menu choices - fishcakes, scallops (potato rounds in batter), sausages, cod, onion rings, sauces (gravy and curry), pies and pasties to name but a few, as well as children’s boxes.
