I love the fish dish, the staff are helpful and friendly, the food is very good and it's a great place to go for your fish and chips. 1 small fish with chips + peas or curry sauce all for £3. a great deal.

When the meal arrived it was hot and the person who brought it was well mannered and polite the fish and chips were really nice

***UPDATE*** Recent visit 12:30pm 04/08/2023 - my lunch break. Small fish and chips ordered with mushy peas £5.55. Luckily, I paid with cash. The lady who served me said the fish would be fresh and ready within 5 minutes. I waited away and by this time it was 12:55pm. I went back to request a refund, and the employee was coming up with all kinds of excuses bearing in mind that others had come in after me and were served. My refund was given back to me like I owed her rent lol stinking attitude. Also, while I waited, I slowly looked around and noticed how dirty the shop actually was and that too for those eating in with flies roaming around and a leak in the ceiling dripping away. A waste of my lunch time, sadly. I will no longer be returning. The shop needs a deep clean and a lot of basic improvements needed. Good luck Fish Dish. I always eat at fish dish as I am a regular customer and I always enjoy the food here! Its great value for money. I love that they have a secluded bit out of the way which is always quiet, where I always sit! Thank you for the food today and the service.

Order online now and then. Food very tasty with generous portion sizes. I have had occasional issues with website being slow/unresponsive but generally my experience has been positive and they try hard to put things right if anything goes wrong.

Went today fish was like it had been warmed up batter wasn't even crispy chips was like scraps couldn't even put a folk in them the cuppa tea came with a load of brown stains near again n the curry sauce was like water

Called in to get a bite the lady and the guys service was terrible like they were forced to be there. I felt like grabbing a fish and slapping their faces Place it self is big with good seating.

Everything on the menu is awful. You probably wondering why am I giving this a 4 star? The fish is 10/10. Every time I come here, I’m scratching my head as to how can there be a huge difference in quality from the fish in comparison to how awful the rest of the food is. I would genuinely give this a 5 star IF everything else on the menu was improved, the chips are NOT edible. I would only come here for the fish, nothing else.

Place is filthy to start off with. Wasps flying all over, Ketchup, sauce bottle not even clean, food wasn't the best, only ordered chip butty and fish cake. Seriously nothing like before

I was disappointed with the food as it definitely has gone down hill since I last ate I remember the chips before were cooked just right but on the day I ate again the chips were hard and looked like had been fried several times as they were dark and dry in colour The fish was more batter than fish and the inside was not cooked as the battery was soft as it was thick I was disappointed with the experience as my mum was looking forward to eating there as this was the first time she had been out in some time due to covid

Nasty donner (zoom in of possible). Fish was still really most that the batter was wet inside out, if that makes any sence.

The fish & chips are spot on. Staff are friendly & patient. Without a doubt would highly recommend

Chips was very hard, the fish was very greasy what a waste of money, me and my partner left most of our food as wasn’t very happy, it used to be very nice but after today we won’t be going again

Ordered at 7 30 food arrived at 8 40 and is the wrong order. We ordered off of uber eats and received a just eat order. Now they are not picking up the phone at 8 44 as they closed at 8 30. Im now stuck with somone elses food and our money.

Always have enjoyed the food here but today it was ridiculous waiting for the food. Was told it would be few minutes. After waiting 30 min told another few minutes got our food after 45 mins. Very disappointed. Should have gone for a Greggs lol

the batter is that raw it barely sticks to the fish.its just like a lair of yellow skin with fluffy flour inside.ive given this place more than 1 chance and it's still the same.and it's not cheap.

Disgusting scallops literally smelly potato no fish . Fish and chips of poor quality too much salt . Delivery was sooo cold . The coating on fish was supposed to be thin and crispy but it was like soggy and thick . No good

Food freshly cooked, pregnant lady who served us was very efficient and helpful, will definitely be back next time we are down from Scotland.

Ordered fish and chips with mushy please, the fish portion was extremely disappointing, it was cooked well and not so greasy, the fish was nice but the potion was very small. I’ve had better fish, probably wouldn’t visit again.

Would just like to thank the staff from this fish and chip shop that came out today offering their help and bottles of water for my mother in law who had a bad fall over the road from their shop today 👏 also their fish and chips are amazing 😀

Ordered delivery for specific time, food turned up a phone and 45 minutes late, I understand weather was bad but I live less than a mile from the shop on a main road. As expected food was lukewarm, fish & chips soggy and half the order missing. Driver was excellent said he would return with the missing portion of the order as shop had definitely misinterpreted the order. Missing order turns up but this time mushy peas missing.. I used to really appreciate this place but now ..........

Ok rather disappointed chips arent to bad but I ordered cheesy popcorn chicken so of course I would assume it's chicken pieces in batter with cheese on top nope instead I got hollow balls of batter with a spec of cheese in and that's no exaggeration £3.40 for hollow batter apart from that they were very fast

Lovely food and friendly service. The fish and chips are top notch, but for a change try the kebab sizzler, really tasty kebab meat, fried with fresh, firm peppers and a spicy chilli flavour.

This cafe/takeaway is a bit rough and ready, and in need of some tender loving care, But, I had the best fish and chip meal there. The fish was moist and meaty, and served with baked beans, and coffee. The staff were very friendly. Hand sanitiser in the cafe area.

Absolutely useless, Placed a order for delivery 1 hour & 10 mins later gave a call to ask where it was, told a boy was off so less drivers & that she was going to start cooking my order now, Erm don’t accept orders if u cannot fullfill them absolutely useless service will not recommend ordering when they cant even update customers and want them to wait 2+ hours for delivery that they charge you for! 0*

Me and my family have been having fish and chips from here for a long time now. The fish and chips is just perfect the portion size is good and with mushy peas oooh it's just delicious! This is one of my favourite places to have fish and chips from. Everytime the food has been good and customer service is excellent. There is space to eat inside or take out. Really good coffee. Really good fish and chips. However there is a market nearby. Really nice seating area. Visited on national fish and chip shop day.

Hands down best homemade fish and chips ive ever had well done

The delivery guy was nice and the food came quicker than usual however thats the only good things.. so they forgot caprisun and beans for breakfast. The breakfast itself was very overcooked and the eggs were chewy and squeaked when chewed, youd think you were eating baby chicken. They didnt use proper chippy chips. It was like oily precut steak chips from a bag.. no chippy chips? At a chippy??? What?! May aswell close the business. Didnt taste fresh at all. Very dissapointed and feels like ive wasted £15 on 2 boxes of steak chips with abit of sausage, a fish and a overcooked beanless breakfast. Coffee also tasted like dish water. Standards have very much reduced since I last ordered and I wont be ordering again. I never leave bad reviews but i honestly have nothing good to say.

AVOID. DISGUSTING FOOD. WAITED OVER 1.5 HOURS CLOSE TO 2 HRS FOR DELIVERY. GOT THE ORDER WRONG...THE SMALL FISH MEAL CAME WITH 9 CHIPS THE DONNER BUTTY CAME STUFFED IN A BUN NO SALADS NO SAUCES. THIER IDEA OF SALAD IS A TUB OF DRIED LETTUCE. THE ONLY THING THEY GOT RIGHT WAS THE DRINKS CANS. AND THE DELIVERY DRIVER TRIED PAYING ME CHANGE IN OLD COINS AND A EURO COIN.

Nothing special the staff were brilliant food was disappointing used a groupon so it was reasonably priced. Good selection of foods available, the chips tasted really good poor sausage and fish was reasonable.

Ordered from just eat, order was scheduled for 2pm. At 2.30 I called the restaurant they told me it was leaving in 5 mins. At 3.15 I called again they told me it was on it's way. I called again at 4 and they told me it had been delivered. Absolute joke of a place , these places give just eat a bad name. Never again.

Fish and chips very good but careful what you eat I found a metal string which belongs to the wire mesh they use to clean wrapped around a chip which my 2 year old was about to eat... not happy

Disgusting service and I took us 40 minutes to get some chips. Upstairs its like a dump. If you are looking for a place to eat, this should be the last you should choose. I will not recommend this service
