Nice bar by the main road. Good atmosphere and friendly service. Plenty of seating upstairs. There's only one unisex toilet which I guess could be problematic when it's busy. Northern brewery beers only on tap so choice is slim to none if you like lager and not ales. Not something I would pick for my continental taste buds. Quite pricey as well so can't give more than 4 stars.

Fantastic bar with good beer range. You can also get food from the revered Pinche Pinche here which is amazing! Goes well with a hippy ale :)

It's such a lovely bar and the upstairs area is great for events.

Poor selection of overpriced beer. Their own brand is particularly overpriced for what it is. Oh, they don't take cash either, an extra f-you to the customer. Also you have to fill out a form with your details to use their WiFi (no Internet connection in the bar) so they can skim and sell your data presumably. No time for businesses like this.

Don't come here often enough but love it.

Just a "give us your money and we do not care about the rest, we do not care about you" business. Left only after the third sip from my beer and never done so in my life before. Downstairs was so full that it was impossible even to stand by the bar. I went upstairs, picked a table, left my stuff went downstairs again and got a beer. Here comes the point. I got a beer, i paid for the beer and immediately told that they are closing upstairs so i should have my beer downstairs. Downstairs where?? Standing in between 3 tables of other customers!! You dont have a one person space even by the bar! And why -just why- i was not informed before buying my beer? As i said give us money and we dont care about the rest business. I am a local. Never going there again.

This cozy pub quickly became my favourite pub in Leeds. It has a great selection of beers and an inviting glow which keeps pulling me back.

Compact bar opening onto the street in Chapel Allerton. Good range of drinks. It was noisy, though. Not sure what can be done about the acoustics, and many people probably wouldn't mind, but chatting amongst our group of 3 wasn't helped by the noise level. Other than that, it's a pleasant venue, good atmosphere, individual, interesting and a bit quirky. Often busy - it appeals to a wide range of locals.

After moving our Son into his new flat, my husband decided to check this good beer guide pub out. They weren't disappointed with the beers on offer both draught, keg and a wide selection of bottles and cans too. It was a hot day so the folding doors were open at the front of the building which made it a different experience. The regulars beer tankards hanging behind the bar and on the ceiling were also an unusual sight. A nice little unexpected find.

Lovely little bar great to sit downstairs, especially when the doors are open on a summers day, and equally as good upstairs with a group. Lovely beer and lovely atmosphere.

No cash taken and I couldn't just stand at the bar to wait for my pizza from the next door establishment. Tried to force me upstairs and then just dropped in can't wait at the bar because of covid. I felt like I wasn't welcome.

Still a small perfectly formed local, superb selection of beers from Leeds, Europe and beyond. Quirky decor and table service. Highly recommended.

Strange place. Serves alcohol yet bar staff ask you to leave if you are sat at the bar after 2 drinks? Obviously drinking on your own makes you seem drunk to them? Hapenned to me twice now. Live 10 minute walk up the road and have never had an issue anywhere else in Chapel Allerton.

Apart from 2 girls using foul language which continued unabated it was a delightful experience it would be far more civilised if the bartender had told the 2 girls their language was offensive

Love, love, love this bar! It's tiny, so in pre-covid times it was often crowded & really warm, but there was something about the atmosphere which meant that made it even better. Now they've had to become very strict on numbers (5 tables downstairs & 6 upstairs) but managed to retain the quirkiness & friendliness that make it such a great place to have a drink. Oh, and the drinks menu is great - local beers, great wines & a good selection of spirits.

I bought a great selection of Christmas beers here last month, nice friendly service and an extensive selection of tasty and interesting beers.

Good to pop in and purchase some interesting beers. They have ice cream too, but yet to get any. This stout was very good.

My house mate and I had a pint which we didn't like, staff were so helpful and swapped it for us, will be returning. Lovely atmosphere and amazing staff!

As good as all the North Bar pubs across the city. No good for disabled access unfortunately. There is a disabled toilet on the ground floor, but at busy times it's so crammed there is no easy way getting about the place. Excellent drinks and friendly staff as usual.

I was here attending the positive birth movement group in my capacity as an independent midwife. We were using the upstairs room which is lovely and we were very warmly welcomed and looked after by the bartender downstairs. My only advice would be not to try to gain entry via the large windows but use the door which is off to one side!! Luckily the barman came out to help!!

Very small, intimate and cool venue however drink prices are very high for the area and seating is sparse. Professional and friendly staff.

A little gem in the outskirt of Leeds, located in the happy village of Chapel allerton you can find this little place with a huge selection of fine beers, cozy and welcoming you can hang out with friend or just get there reading a book o simply meeting new people. The interior Is very cool, with loads of different lamps hanging from the sealing. Magical and unique, it'll soon became your regular hang out.

Cozy little bar with great beer choices and perfect for starting a night out in Chapel Allerton. Bit too small for large groups though and can easily get so busy so I'd suggest avoiding if you're claustrophobic! Maybe a little pricey and some seating not quite comfortable enough for longer sessions.

Small craft beer bar, cosy but can be very busy

Nice space downstairs which creates a decent low countries café bar vibe but that is quite small, and sadly the upstairs is overly twee with childsize furniture, bunting etc. Despite it being an offshoot of North Bar and having a scaled down version of the same drinks selection I struggle to often find a beer I want to drink. Alfred in Meanwood is much better, this seems to be well reviewed purely down to the sheer mediocrity in Chapel Allerton generally.

Amazing selection of great beers

As a visitor from the far South "Cardiff" I thought this was a great place to Finnish an afternoon with a mate. great beer a d even better staff. Will be back.

Good bar with some good beers. Pleased they have opened up the room upstairs because it can often get packed out downstairs. Loses a star as can be a bit pricey and the pork pies were £3 not £2.50 as stated on the menu. If your menus are out of date, please update them!

Small cosy bar in Chapel Allerton. Part of the North bar group the bar offers a great range of craft beers and cider. The prices are on the high side and the clientele are generally pretentious hipster types. Busy on Friday and Saturday nights but not a bad place to drink during the week or in the afternoon.

Fantastic little gem in chap ap. They offer fantastic beer (I recommend you try their own beers). As it's fairly small, it's soon packed and has a great atmosphere.
