Beautiful, fresh food. A couple of things weren’t available on the menu, but that tells me that the food is all fresh and I’d rather it not be on the menu than they wip out of the freezer. Beautifully presented and superb tasting fresh food. I definitely recommend.

The bar area smells of vomit (this is recently, we noticed this a couple of weeks back and gave it the benefit of the doubt but noticed again today when we came for a drink). We enjoy Erdinger, but at £6 a pint and never in an Erdinger glass (it tastes completely different in a normal pint glass), we won't be back. It is worth mentioning that the Bridge (Kirkstall brewery owned) serves Erdinger in proper Erdinger glasses. Plus, the wall in the beer garden is falling down and dangerous!

First thing we noticed is how friendly the staff are they make you feel welcome straight away. The food was lovely we went as a family group and everyone commented on how tasty the food was and to top it off they had Kirkstall hazy pale which is a gorgeous pint 😀 . This was our first time here and we will definitely be going again.

If you ever find yourself in Leeds on a Sunday and you fancy a roast, then the Cardigan Arms is the only destination. We didn't know what to expect, so the best roast I've had in my 49 years of enjoying our national dish.blew my mind!!Like most, the No 1 (until today) was my Mum's..... Sorry Mum!!!, but everything was perfect, from how the multitude of veg was cooked, to the Porchetta and crackling, and the presentation. The sticky toffee pud was banging as well!. And to top it off it's a beautiful old traditional pub with some great traditional Ales and friendly helpful staff. A true Gem!

Cardigan Arms is a nice little pub style place situated in Cardigan Fields. It’s very spacious and the staff are very friendly and inviting. I have had few experiences over the years here but I thought I’d make a true attempt to experience the food and drinks. I enjoyed a burger here with a side of bbq beans which was pretty delicious. My fiancée got a hunters chicken which she thought was very well prepared. The menu is vast and although there are many options, they do seem to be limited on the app by quite a big margin. The prices are more than fair especially in today’s economy. The drinks are AMAZING here, we get cocktails regularly and they are very strong and delicious, they never disappoint and I’d highly recommend this bar even if it’s just for the drinks. I haven’t tried the desserts so I can’t comment but I will be trying them on my next visit. I’d also prefer if they could just step up the cleaning a little bit as sometimes tables are not cleaned very quickly, which is a little surprising and it’s not usual for this place to be bustling. Overall, I’d recommend going here for the drinks, food it’s decent and the prices are more than fair but I’d go somewhere else for food if I was able.

Good value roast with all the trimmings. The porchetta was a favourite as was the nut roast. Yorkies were big and crunchy! A very traditional pub and great decor. Grand lights and mirrors to be seen all over. Clean and welcoming. The loos were spotless and plenty of soap and hot water available Staff were all helpful and efficient. Recommended.

I really like this Pub. it's a beautiful building with lots of rooms to find a nice spot to sit and drink. it's got a little outdoor space as well. They also do a great Sunday roast. It's run by kirkstall brewery same as the bridge in so you know the roasts are good and you stand a way better chance of actually being able to book for a Sunday roast on Saturday or even Sunday than you do at the bridge.

Haven't visited this pub in years, but we were near by so tried it for food. The pub retains it's kind of quirky style, with the different rooms. I like this aspect. We ordered from the Mexican Tuesday menu. The food was ok, not special. I had expected better after following on line & seeing what looked like great food. The staff came across as a tad aloof. I needed an accessible toilet, & they don't have one. I was informed I could use the cubicle in the mens toilets (on the ground floor/womens loo's upstairs) This really is not ideal. I used said cubicle because I had to, but there really should be an accessible loo. There may be good reason why they don't have one....? All in all, an ok pub, but didn't live up to expectations.

we’ve been trying different Sunday roasts around Leeds each week and visited the Cardigan arms a few weeks back. Honestly was the best so far! The Cardigan Arms survived the devastating brewery vandalism of the 60's, 70's, and 80's, but was looking distinctly rundown before its brief closure, and its acquisition by Kirkstall Brewery. Apart from the CCTV cameras, I don't think they could have done a better job of restoring it to its former glory, and it is a pleasure to visit for the architecture alone. However, you can also expect a fantastic range of ales, friendly service, and an inclusive, (if rather pricey), menu. I live on the other side of town, but visit The Cardigan Arms whenever I can, and it is always a singular pleasure. Thanks to Kirkstall Brewery for saving this beautiful old Leeds pub.

We live in Armley and this is our favourite pub in Leeds. The decor is amazing, the pints are great, the beer selection is top notch, the staff are super friendly, and the food is fantastic (we’re vegetarian and their vg options are super). We had a lot to celebrate recently with a wedding, baby, two birthdays, and a graduation, so we hired out the function room upstairs and had a buffet. Josh was amazing at responding to emails and helping facilitate our truly spectacular day. The function room is gorgeous and we can’t recommend highly enough this place as a venue for any celebratory occasion. We used the projector to have photos up on the wall, and music through their sound system. Once again, the buffet (vegetarian) was supreme. We had an amazing time and can’t thank the Cardigan Arms enough. This place was already our favourite pub, but now even more so!

One of my favourite bars in Leeds even though the service is iffy. Some of the staff seem to look through you and go off and serve someone else. Maybe I'm invisible? It's a shame really as everything else about the place is excellent. I haven't eaten there.
