Absolutely brilliant customer service came here expecting just a meal and we was given an experience. Best meal we’ve had all week.

Don't get to Sorrentos as much as l would like, so after a long absence it was great to find the food is still of the same high standard.

What a fabulous little restaurant and its local to where I live. The food is all absolutely delicious, very well cooked and served. Their Pate is one of the best I have tasted from all the restaurants we haave visited. All the dishes that we ordered were all delivered hot and very tastey, could not recommend this little retaurant enough, it is a gem of a find. Price is mid range, as are the drinks.

Visited with my mum for a meal on a Friday night as we are not local. Staff were absolutely wonderful, very helpful and friendly. The food was amazing, especially the cannelloni. Very reasonable pricing for what you get, especially if you get the early bird menu (which is what we did). Lovely atmosphere as it got later, and an overall smashing place. Can't wait to visit again!

We booked a table via the website. The reservation wasn't put into the paper diary. However, the staff set up a table for us. The food was very poo. Over cooked and burnt. The calzone cracked when cut into. The pizza bases snapped. As for the meats, the restaurant only had one steak left (at 6 pm), and the burgers were cooked dry. The chicken was dry and tough. The calzone was sent back to the kitchen because it was burnt black at the ends and underside and so dry it was inedible. The chef/owner came out and shouted, "This is how calzone is cooked here!" We have eaten at the restaurant before and found the food reasonable but not as bad as this. After we complained, the staff were rushing us, taking plates when people were still eating. Really not a good experience. La Cantina and Francos are better options for a good night out.

Very friendly, local restaurant that we have used for nearly 20 years.

The food was delicious and the portion was of a suitable amount. I usually struggle in most restaurants to eat a full portion but my plate was clean.

We booked an early table for five and with accessible seating. This was no problem for the staff. We ordered a bottle of house wine 🍷 which was very good 👍. Main courses were very good our grandchildren enjoyed garlic and tomato pizza bread we all dived in to enjoy. Main courses were very good. All in all a very good experience will be back again.

Went here for our anniversary on 4th August, first time ever and was not disappointed. Brilliant. Great food, thank you chef, good atmosphere and special thanks to the two members of staff who served us, don't know their names but they will know who they are. Lovely people, couldn't do enough for us, made us feel very welcome and special, smashing personalities. We would definitely recommend the restaurant, the food and the staff. Excellent.

This Italian restaurant is not in popular location, and had not many customers in when we arrived. Easy to park. Good and polite service from the staff. The starter and main course were very good and reasonable price. However the food was let down by the desserts. No Italian dishes, just 4 boring English choices. The atmosphere was not helped by the loud depressing music, Adel breakup music is not suitable romantic evening. Why not soft quiet italian music or none.

Always a lovely experience here. The staff are so welcoming and so friendly. You cannot fault the food, it's always fresh and hot.

Came here especially for valentines with my partner for the first time, such a lovely welcome from the lady serving and the boss, the restaurant was decorated so nice with lots of love and the food was beautifully presented, then when we left to pay we was gifted a box of chocolates, such a lovely kind gesture, we look forward to visiting your restaurant again, thank you for a lovely evening x

I was really looking forward to eating at this restaurant - called up to ask when it was open and found staff member (apparently manager) to be rude and dismissive. Attitude said they couldn't care less. Bit of a shame maybe as most of the reviews of the actual food are quite good.

Takeaway pizza, had four pizzas from you last Friday & wasn't impressed at all. Hardly any toppings & you forgot my chilli sauce. Really disappointed as your on my doorstep so thought I would give you a try. I won't be returning.

We booked a table for 13 people on a Friday evening, this was no trouble for the staff at Sorrento, they got everything correct, and the food was hot and delicious. It took sometime , obviously as it was a very large order, but nobody was kept longer than anyone else in our party. We are all from our of town , so had taken the previous tripadvisor reviews as a guide. We were delighted. It's out of the way so doesn't get passing trade, but well worth the trip. Thanks sorrento. We will be back if passing through again.

Got a takeaway waited over 1 hour 14 mins just gunna phone up and it turned up pizza stone cold and I mean cold Donna was worser and not a lot in it went in bin with pizza it was late so could not wait another hour for them to change noe common sense driver should know it’s been to long and resteraunt should no give him to many to deliver 15 pound for nothing thanks

We came for a meal on 30/09 and it was brilliant! The food was excellent, we had 3 courses each and they were all absolutely delicious. The service from the one lady that was working was exceptional - nothing was too much. We have been before and we will definitely be back again. Thank you!

The restaurant is currently closed due to covid 19 but due to the good reviews of the food I decided to try the pizzas from the takeaway. I was really disappointed with the low level of toppings. We ordered 4 varieties of pizza and they all looked and tasted the same due to there being so little on top - for example, some slices of the meatball pizza had zero or one meatball and there was virtually no kebab meat on the kebab pizza. I’m not sure if the restaurant shares the same kitchen and chef when it is open but I’ve been put off trying it regardless. It’s a shame as I had such high hopes.

El servicio al cliente por teléfono fue fantástico, muy educado y paciente. La comida llegó dentro del tiempo de entrega con algunas opciones de métodos de pago que fueron muy apreciados. ¡La comida era perfecta! Genial por el precio también. Las pizzas eran una base italiana fina y crujiente encantadora y las coberturas sabían frescas y de buena calidad. La hamburguesa que pedí era exactamente lo que buscaba con una generosa porción de patatas fritas. Definitivamente volveremos y también esperamos visitar el restaurante cuando vuelva a abrir después del cierre. ¡Definitivamente lo recomendaría!

Fui a este restaurante por primera vez para el cumpleaños de mi esposo. Éramos seis y teníamos toda la atención del personal. Tuvimos una comida encantadora que no le costó a la Tierra. Recomendaría a cualquiera que vaya a Sorrento para una buena comida.

High quality food and great service. The menu is great, everything from pasta and pizza to fillet steak. I'd recommend the BBQ rib starter... The sauce is out of this world and the fillet steak main was first class, quality meat cooked perfectly. The staff are very welcoming and professional and the food is fantastic, what more could you want?

Wow such lovely food. Plenty of it and tasty. The best spaghetti Bolognese I have ever tasted. Staff friendly and good service. Would recommend this and so pleased Premier Inn reception told us about it, as well as other restaurants, but glad we choose this one. Only visiting.

You're unlikely to find yourself here by accident really. It's not very near tourist attractions or smart shops or other entertainment. You kind-of have to seek it out. We found it because TripAdvisor recommended it as a place near our hotel. We could have eaten at chain restaurants nearer to where we were staying but ... we clicked the Uber button and off we went.It was a cold Tuesday night in March and not many people were out and about - but there were people at Sorrento. Our waiter was very welcoming and kind: she brought us both the "early bird" menu and the standard one. We went for the former - just because it seemed to contain all we wanted. However there are some really lovely looking things on the standard menu that I would go back to try.We ordered a starter apiece - I had stuffed mushrooms (creamy goat's cheese, a touch of garlic, pancetta) and my partner had black pudding with goat's cheese in a garlic sauce. We loved them - but it's a good sign that we were both jealous of each other's starter.My pizza - little pieces of chicken, jalapeno peppers, cherry tomatoes and cheese - was completely delicious. A nice base too - robust and solid, but not too much so; tasty and well-textured. The jalapenos were exactly hot enough - though we were also brought two little bowls, one of chilli oil and one of home-made chilli sauce. Both were wonderful. My partner's meatball calzone was "the best calzone I have ever eaten". It looked packed with interesting flavours and the inside was moist without being sloppy. Everything came to table piping hot and beautifully presented.We had a bottle of house red - an Italian merlot - which was just perfect. Warm, fruity flavours with just a slight hint of depth and edge. Just right for pizza.Sadly we didn't have room for dessert. The home-made tirami su looked great, as did the salted-caramel cheesecake but ... we just couldn't find room. This was a shame - made us want to go back again when we had a bigger appetite.The chef came out and said hello too, which is always a nice touch. And though the restaurant wasn't really crowded, they were clearly doing a roaring trade in delivery pizza. I'm not surprised - it must be the kind of place with a really good local reputation. But Sorrento is more than that - a little oasis of delicious food in north-east Leeds, which felt warm and personal and kind on a cold evening, and a perfect antidote to soulless chain restaurant dinner.It's really, really worth a visit. Make the effort. You won't regret it. We're just looking for an excuse to go back, next time we're in the area.

Always solid for an early bird visit. Nothing put of this world but a good local eatery. Pizzas are great value.

Me and the husband Decided to go here for our Valentine's day meal we not been for a few years(used to go all time when we were dating) it was just as nice as we remembered it.Its only a small restaurant but this makes it more personal the food is delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful and they always come and see if everything is ok with your food.we will start using out local more often again

Visited Sorrento for the first time last night. From walking in the door to the end of the night we had a fantastic time. Cannot believe I have never been there before. The staff are excellent, so friendly and welcoming and the food is gorgeous. Would highly recommend and will definitely return. It truly is a hidden gem. If you want a good atmosphere, friendly staff and fabulous food, it's definitely the place to go.
