Absolutely amazing restaurant . Fabulous staff and the food was out of this world. Thank you so much for a fabulous night ❤️❤️

We came out for a meal and there was a large party that was so loud we couldn’t hear each other. Kids screaming and running all over! Mario was incredible, he asked them nicely to be a little quieter but they were out of control. Mario did all he could to make sure we had great food and service. If it wasn’t for him this would have been a complaint. Which would have been sad as you’re my favourite restaurant. Please praise him and if you’re having a party allow the people to have fun but not drown out everyone else.

This resturant and its staff are amazing! I was arranging a dinner for special someone's birthday, as I was away. Logistically it was a challenge but Troy and his team made it run so smoothly, Birthday Girl was overwhelmed with how special the evening was and I am truely grateful for the effort put in to help me make this happen. The food was top notch, the atmosphere was perfect and the service was 2nd to non 👌

We as party of 14 /16 have been here before and it was great tonight they was not enough staff to cope with us and maybe a 4/6 other customers god knows how they cope if its a full resturant starters came out okay. Mine was garlic mushrooms not many to be honest a small piece of cheesy bread although it was nice not enough and I'm not a big eater. The main courses came out bit by bit sides was very late coming out I cannot speak for the others but the 4 of us sat together ordered 2 x rosemary potatoes one lot came out half way through the meal the second lot we had nearly finished our meal I wanted to send them back but due to the meal being very small my partner was still hungry?. Pudding well that was hit and miss I asked for my fudge cake to be hot came out tepid he took it back took a while to come back out it only takes seconds in the microwave? Staff lovely but the food was hit and miss the chef / cook cannot cope with a few customers i sudjest you get him/ her help. Last time we came here there was music on which made for a better atmosphere we were there as a leaving do for friends going back to Australia but it was boring. And you need draft beer or a more selection of bottle / cans.

Excellent food and a relaxed service so didn't feel rushed. They were very busy on our last visit but still made room for us to have a pram at the side of the table. Toilet was not adequate for baby changing unfortunately but they welcome children of all ages.

Can't complain at the price 2 course 15.95 Mon to Friday bargain. Lovely tomato garlic bread. Typical Italian at a good price.

I grew up in Armley and have heard some great reviews about this place. Even still, a bit of snobbery probably took over with me thinking ‘how good can a restaurant just off of Armley Town Street be?’. That was soon put aside, wish I’d have visited sooner. Service was fast, very friendly and informed and the food was excellent. At £15.95 for 3 courses, it puts to shame a well known restaurant where I paid near enough 6x more than that last week for two people. The food at Sambuca was undeniably better too. Will most certainly be returning.

Place is a bit unprepossessing, but it's clean (checked the toilets!), service is faultless and the food is superb. Great value for money too - highly recommended.

The jury is still out on this one, the garlic mushrooms for starters were ok, but the portion size was really small, one small bit of toasted bread with 5 mushrooms on and sauce . The risottos we got again were ok but again really small portions. However my sons steak wasn’t great, more how it was presented , looked like it was thrown on the plate along with some mushrooms and a tomato and it was swimming in grease, i should of probably sent it back. A bit disappointed unfortunately.

Family meal for 10. All had a brilliant time. Made to feel very welcome by all staff even though it was the first time we had ever been. Certainly won’t be the last. Food lovely. Great atmosphere and fantastic value.

This place does comforting food. It's like take away in a restaurant. I went here for an office party.

Many thanks to the team at Sambuca for hosting our Christmas works party! 25 of us descended on you on top of your regular customers, the restaurant was absolutely packed and the service was truly outstanding! The Christmas menu offered something for everyone and the meals really were delicious! Our guys only had positive things to say and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Thanks again for looking after us and we will definitely return!

Second time visiting this restaurant and once again did not disappoint. Staff are very friendly. We all opted for the two courses for £13.95 , had starters and s main , we had 5 different starters between us and we all recommended them and we all chose a different main , from a pasta dish , calzone , chicken and they were all very nice . Had a couple of drinks then had 6 free shots of sambuca . Highly recommend this restaurant

Excellent Italian Food! The place is beautiful and relaxing. The service was great and fast . The food was delicious, meals were big , and the cost very reasonable.

We now come here at least once a month for a treat to ourselves! The food is unbelievable and the cost is fab. We absolutely love it here, service is always good and staff are so friendly

Two courses for £13.95 or three for £15.95…. It’s a no brainer, you’d think they might skimp on portion sizes for this price but you’ll be pleasantly surprised. The garlic pizza bread is a must try… it’s light and fluffy with a good tomato herb sauce ( tomato garlic bread) is a 9’ pizza base which is more than enough for a starter… the mains you choose from a selection of pasta dishes, I recommend the tagliatelle pasticciate which is tagliatelle with bolognaise, ham mushroom in a cream sauce.. exquisite, authenticity at its finest, it really is a taste of Italy… you can get pizza which they have a good choice of toppings but if you’re eating garlic bread you might not want to overfill on too many carbs… if three course isn’t your thing then the a la carte menu has plenty of dishes, steak, veal are just a couple of choices to mention…. dessert.. hands down the winner is the tiramisu, good strong coffee taste and sweet cream… highly rate this dessert and I’m an avid dessert lover.. thumbs up 👍 book in advance as it gets full up quite easily, you can see why…

I must say everything it's brilliant at Sambuca in Armley from the moment you enter the door until you leave. Their hospitality is great, food is amazing and to top it up Lorenzo and his team makes sure that you have the best experience. All my family and I can say is GRAZIE and we’ll definitely be back soon.

Lovely good value menu. Decent all round price. Great service and didnt wait too long for the food. Not open Mondays and Tuesdays.

Authentic Italian Food at its best! As an Italian myself it is difficult to find real Italian restaurants here in the Leeds area and I was quite surprised with this one. The staff was friendly, I had a nice chat with the manager and waiters, and the food was great. Highly recommended!

Three positive review cliches, but they are very well deserved and cliches for a reason. Great food, great service and very well priced. The atmosphere was lovely and the 3 course menu offered great choice.

Loved the atmosphere but the food I thought lacked thought!

The food was spot on, good service the restaurant has a relaxed vibe, very enjoyable.

Unfortunately, the food leaves a lot to be desired these days at sambuca. I made the mistake of getting a risotto, which was pretty rank. It had clearly spent a bit of time in the microwave. To be fair, the owner wanted to make me something else, but others were ordering dessert by then, so I declined. If you're planning a visit, play safe and get a pizza.

Superb. Haven’t been here for a few years (before the pandemic). Portions were brilliant and authentic Italian dishes. Chicken rissoto was spot on. Nothing was a problem.

Cosy place. Food was OK, only one server so waited a while. Reasonable prices. Would go again

Such a great cosy traditional italian restaurant, staff really lovely, food gorgeous, partners steak cooked perfect and mum said seafood linguine was to die for. They have kept their prices the same as pre covid and offers a 3 course menu for around £25. Drinks reasonable and complementary Sambucca shots at the end of meal 😋.

I ordered the mushroom risotto and made them aware that I was a vegetarian. My food came and was lovely to start with but half way through the meal I chewed on a big piece of chicken. I let the owner know and he laughed then said sorry mate and continued about his day. I don’t complain or write reviews but very poor customer service I won’t be going back and shouldn’t have paid for the meal but no offers were made of a refund or discount. Absolute joke.

The food was just okay, you can tell the sauces used are from jars and not made fresh, however with 2 courses for less than £15 it was what I expected. The waiter was really attentive and kept checking in us which was good. The sambuca at the end was a nice sentiment except I was driving!

The food is amazing and its really reasonably priced, would highly recommend going its excellent. The tiramisu was particularly nice! All the staff were polite and service was generally excellent.

Went for a birthday after a long time of wondering what it was like. My only regret is I haven't visited sooner! The food was excellent! There were 5 of us and we all ordered differently and all of us were impressed! I'll definitely be back!

Very good restaurant, great food, brilliant service for our daughters birthday and very reasonably priced topped off with an ice cream and candle and a chorus of happy birthday. Take no notice of the review below, we were sat in the restaurant when he rudely shouted in are you still open at 9.30pm and stormed off saying he'd tried 4 times, only 2 tables left finishing up. Really!!! What do you expect at that time

Tried to eat here on four occasions. I have never succeeded. I won't try again. Very polite people, but never open for business when I have wanted to eat. Private parties on two occasions, and otherwise just want to close early. Seriously? Cultos in North Leeds is always open, so I'll just keep going there. I live in Armley, so really want to spend money locally, but won't be eating here. Hilarious, but very annoying.

Brilliant right from the start. There was 15 of us for birthday celebrations. The staff were very attentive and very welcoming. The food was super and hot, which sometimes isn't the case especially when it's a big group of people and it all came at the same time. The atmosphere was great and good music with dancing after the meal. Thank you for a great night. .nightWoul Would highly recommend.
