Our first time back in many years, having moved back to the area. The staff are friendly and nicely accommodated our two little dogs and our baby boy. Nothing was too much to ask for, on our first visit we tried the festive specials and more recently this new year the traditional breakfast, all delicious and home cooked. Amazing choice of unusual drinks too, love the cherry beer 👍🏼
NO vayas aquí a cenar asado.
Cíñete a pasteles y bocadillos.
Ordenado desde aquí para su recogida. Encontré el precio un poco alto, sin embargo, no me importa pagar ya que las pizzas suelen ser muy agradables.
En esta ocasión las pizzas estaban frías, viciadas y todas las coberturas se habían caído.
A hidden gem Amazing tasty food and such good value for money. Very friendly staff and all round good experience with a lovely atmosphere highly recommend
Ten of us descended first thing on Slingsby’s on a cold December Monday morning. We all ordered a variety of breakfast meals including full English, breakfast rolls and porridge.
Everything was delicious and served with a smile and in good time.
A variety of coffees and teas were also first class.
We were all impressed and would recommend and return.
Visited today after a walk at Malham with the family and dog. What a. lovely place. Gorgeous cakes, even for the dog and great service. Would highly recommend
A wonderful gem in Beighton village , serving excellent tea , coffee , cooked foods and cakes .
Staff are friendly and attentive , making any visit enjoyable .
Only concern is the owner has now banned dogs from entering ( Not quite sure why , but seems quite pernicious).
So your dog is only allowed to sit outside now.
I'm desperate to be balanced and constructive here as we did enjoy our food and visit and would return.
Overall the food was excellent quality, well executed, tasty and varied, although several dishes we wanted weren't available on the night. Unfortunately for Omni, Malton meets Mayfair and several dishes are overpriced and a good few were undersized. 4 slithers of fillet steak were more like 150g than 230g for example. 10 sprouts in a tapas bowl with some gorgeous bang bang sauce looked lost and forlorn and at £6, we felt cheated, we wanted more and compelled to double up on the order. Same with the cauliflower fritters, baby potatoes and padron peppers. The Beef Dripping fries are nothing special and the portion size is very parsimonious for the money.
To draw comparison, all members of our party of 5 have enjoyed tapas in Spain and in similar tapas establishments in London. We commented on some portion sizes.
If they manage to balance this price and portion size scenario, we are sure Omni will thrive with more repeat business. If they continue as is, many will be put off by the price and it's future could be in jeopardy, which would be a real shame.
The service we received was excellent, the ambience is OK and the drinks and wine range was superb and sensibly priced.
Nobody expects big Yorkshire portions with Yorkshire Tapas, but similarly nobody should be paying £30 per head and feeling barely fed.
Next time we go, we will definitely eat a bigger meal at lunchtime beforehand.
