Rip off. Two slices of cake for £8 and one of them is almost half a slice. Told the waitress but she didn’t bother. Never again. Unfortunately Field’s was closed that day to get a decent cake.

Came in for a family catch up and dinner. Lovely atmosphere and all the staff are wonderful and very attentive. Brilliant food compliments to the chef and we all really enjoyed the food, drinks and desserts. 100% will be returning!!

A wonderful cosy cafe bar with a lovely atmosphere, friendly and welcoming staff, excellent, delicious food, and they even serve Yorkshire Tea!

Fantastic breakfast. Friendly staff lovely bright and clean - well worth a visit for breakfast lunch or afternoon tea. They even have a full bar and entertainment on an evening too. Will have to visit again soon for a drink 🍻- thanks 😋

Our first time back in many years, having moved back to the area. The staff are friendly and nicely accommodated our two little dogs and our baby boy. Nothing was too much to ask for, on our first visit we tried the festive specials and more recently this new year the traditional breakfast, all delicious and home cooked. Amazing choice of unusual drinks too, love the cherry beer 👍🏼

Popped in for a coffee over the Christmas period, always busy with a good atmosphere, stayed over an hour and enjoyed the brew. Didn't eat but the food coming out looked good.

Nice drop in for a coffee, cake or a light bite friendly staff reasonably priced comfy seats, plenty of free parking nearby. Worth a stop

It's an absolutely outstanding cafe. The food is to the highest standard, so friendly, so nice and reasonably priced I can recommend the eggs Benedict massively.

Loved this cafe. I was visiting the UK and ended up not just having breakfast here but returning for lunch and afternoon tea too. Breakfast was so good, no greasy stuff left on the plate. Very accommodating when I wanted to swap the black pudding for extra mushrooms on my full breakfast. I’m quite fussy about the sausages I eat and I have to say the ones on my breakfast were just lovely and very tasty. I’ve had the club sandwich. Jacket potato, spinach and mushrooms on sour dough and of course I’ve had cake too. I will most definitely return when I next land in the UK. Oh, the staff were extremely friendly as well. I give credit to all that work there.

Just popped in for a coffee and was lovely to have coffee that was actually hot as so many are lukewarm nowadays. Great that it's dog friendly and the whole place had a really nice atmosphere. Definitely be back

We hired this venue for a small gathering for our sons leaving party. We had close to 30 people and it felt cosy with a lovely atmosphere but we could have had more there was plenty of space. We had a huge buffet which everyone loved with lots leftover to take home. Johnathon and his staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough for us all. We are hoping to book again for our Ruby wedding next year and will recommend to anyone. Thankyou to you all in Cafe bar 26 x

The perfect local venue. We hired the cafe bar for a private party last night and couldn't be more impressed. Nothing was too much trouble for Jonathan and his team. Great atmosphere, dance floor, incredible buffet... we had 30 guests with room for more but the layout and design of the cafe bar makes it feel cosy without needing to be full. Great selection of drinks, including non alcoholic and hot drinks too. A brilliant night all round, cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you!!

More local coffee shop than anything else. Expensive and the coffee was OK, and flapjack was also OK. £6.80 for both was expensive and I wouldn't find it great on a regular basis.

This is nicely becoming my favourite venue, I have been visiting for the past three months and on each visit I have found the food to be delicious and affordable. A pleasure to dine the service was excellent and the waiting wasn't long at all my daughter loved her tuna melt having been the first time she had actually had one although dad ate most of the salad and our cappuccino was well made and the caramel slice was just right not too sweet and sickly. Thank you for your service it was much appreciated.

Lovely food great choices, and artisan bread for sale as well,. The staff are lovely and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be back soon.

I love this cafe, it's very close to my heart and to my (old home) It's an old favourite that I was delighted to return to when visiting Hull. Not far from, not only where I used to live, but where I grow up too. When coming back to visit, I had the joy of coming back here again, the last time (in May) for Breakfast, were I had the full English and that was amazing! and then this week, this time for lunch and I had a Panini that came with a lovely side salad too. It was fantastic. This is a great place with great food and great service. Really awesome menu with a great choice of food and drink. Very warm and welcoming staff who are very helpful, polite and professional. It's been a pleasure to come back and visit again and I look forward to the next time as well. See you all soon!

Lovely smoothie and welcoming,friendly people

We are new to the area having recently moved from Manchester. Live nearby in Kirk Ella and we have walked past this coffee shop on a few occasions. Just popped in to try and they managed to fit us in. We were with our 13 month old grandson. We appeared to have been lucky as it was busy and they had lots of tables pre booked for lunch. Had something off the menu which lovely, tasty and reasonably priced. lovely attentive staff. We will be going back for more.

Fantastic find absolute treat of a brekkie, had the black pudding stack with a couple of extra bangers on the side. The black pudding was immense and was joined on the plate with food that was amazing. All washed down with a delightful cuppa. The price is high but so are the standards. Got a slice of carrot cake to go and this was also amazing. Well worth a try if you are in the area

Where do I start, this place is under new management I believe. Firstly I first visited after a long period three weeks ago today. Poor service - brought out three adults meals and one child’s meal whilst leaving another two unhappy children without their meal for another 10 minutes. Initially no issue as mistakes happen. Then two weeks ago virtually the same thing, tried to order at the bar but was told to sit down as I can’t order at the bar. I felt like a school child. Then today, uncooked sausages on a child’s meal, smaller portions, and a general feel of the place been very unorganised.

First time in for a couple of months and reminded myself why I like it. Service excellent and coffee fantastic. Easily the best tasting coffee of all those we have to choose from in Kirk Ella, Anlaby and Willerby

Nice cosy laid-back café, with comfy sofas for relaxing and whiling away some time. The coffee is good quality and there is a fine selection of cakes and pastries, including some gluten-free options. Prices are fine and the staff are friendly. Reservations are accepted and are probably a good idea for a group of three or four if you want the sofas as opposed to a table.

Have had some lovely breakfasts here previously but hadn't been for a while so we were rather disappointed with a full breakfast which was rather dried up and not particularly hot, and an eggs Benedict which was barely luke warm, had soggy brioche (untoasted) and hard poached eggs. Not to the standard we would expect for the cost. The prices were higher than shown on the website, £2 dearer for the full breakfast, but the food was certainly of a lower standard this time.
