Thai Season by Pritsana Restaurant in East Riding of Yorkshire

Driving up the a1079, you might have passed in between Pocklington and Wilberfoss. I recommend you make a plan to stop and pop in. The food is better than I've had at any other Thai restaurant; it is authentic rather than tailored to western tastes. We've been numerous times now and tried many different options. My son, normally reluctant to try food that might be spicy, wolfs down the food - there are plenty of mild options. The starter platter is a recommendation, other family members love the sizzling Weeping Tiger, and if you order anything with king prawn, beware, they are huge! The venue is huge, so there's plenty of room and you never feel hemmed in, and very accessible for those with mobility issues. Make sure you book ahead at the weekend, it gets very busy!

Staying close by with my mum who had been here previously and loved it. We went twice during our week - I could have gone every night!! I don't eat meat and there was plenty of choice. Ambient setting, friendly welcoming staff and delicious food. Don't be put off by the outside - get in and enjoy the whole experience.

It was a great curry. For those who like spicy one, try green or red curry!

Had a lovely evening at Thai Season. The decor was stunning, oriental feeling. The toilet areas were exceptionally clean. The service was beyond excellent. Staff were very polite. Nice quick service but not rushed. The food was amazing and beautifully presented. We had a share starter, presented on a two tier stand, the flavours were lovely. The belly pork main dish was delicious, crispy and tender and the sizzling beef was very nice. The beer was bottled. Certainly will be returning and highly recommend.

My friend and I stayed here for her birthday and were very well accommodated - the room was clean and spaciois, James was really helpful, the staff were lovely and the food was excellent. Its a great place to meet in between York and Hull and we'll definitely be back. Thank you!

We have drove past this Restaurant so many times each time saying we will try it, we went last night for our Anniversary, very clean and spacious, the tables were spread out really nicely not sat on top of each other . The menu was so easy to understand as we hadn’t eaten Thia food previously, staff were amazing too, no long wait between courses. Would definitely recommend and we will be going back 5 star service.

A family get together. 10 0f us. A very wide variety of dishes and drinks ordered from the menu. The service was friendly and impeccable. Th food in all its variety was excellent. Everyone was delighted by the quality of their food. No delays but no sense of being hurried. All of the opinion that the meal had been a great success and a tribute to the team behind the providing of the food and drink. Nothing but praise and the thought we should do this again. Very, very good.

We stayed at the hotel 9/12/23. Room was cosy.In need of a touch of filler and paint in a few areas, a wardrobe instead of hangers to make it perfect. Everyone was welcoming and friendly on arrival just after 17:00. We had a beautiful meal in the Restaurant would highly recommend to anyone. Shame they don’t do breakfast especially when you don’t have to check out until 12pm

Went to the Thai restaurant. Great experience, they were able to customise some of the dishes to make them gluten free for my family members. Food was very quick and great portion sizes.

Tasty and generous portions! We were staying in the nearby holiday rentals and the location of this place is perfect for take away. The food was piping hot and delicious. There is a range of dishes from mild to spicy.

We went to Thai Season for my daughters 16th birthday. It was the first time I'd been despite living nearby. Food was fantastic. Really generous portions. Menu can look a bit pricey compared to other restaurants around the area, but once you see not just the portion size but the quality of the food, you realise you're getting more than what you paid for. The staff are really friendly and accommodating too. Cannot fault the place.

Stayed here 3 years in a row for when we go to York races ...yesterday taxi was a nightmare and we had meal booked for 830pm but hotel rang and still provided our food even though we were very late x rooms are fantastic and staff are amazing. If you havnt been please please go....you won't be dissapointed.

We have been here a few times now, the food is always fresh and really tasty and the service is great.

We live locally and have been meaning to go for a while, the food was so fast we ordered collection at 8:30 and it was ready for us at 8:50, on a Saturday night as well, very impressed. The staff are so lovely and friendly and we had a really wonderful conversation with the (potentially) manager? We arrived home to still incredibly hot and beautifully tasting food! 100% will be returning to this amazing restaurant. Cannot recommend it enough.

Good Thai food, cheerful service, varied menu including a vegan range. Drinks seemed a little pricey but that is true at a lot of places.

What a lovely meal. Having lived locally for some years, regularly travelling past we decided to visit this weekend as it was close and a last minute decision to eat out. When we arrived the outside looks less loved ,and we were not sure what to expect inside, so we were somewhat taken aback when we entered. Its a beautiful restaurant, tables very spaced out which is a rarity these days. The staff were friendly and helpful, advising me what to pick when I could not narrow it down. The food was all very tasty, hot, beautifully presented. Its not the cheapest Thai restaurant, but it is absolutely worth every penny.

Saw this as we drove past to local lodge on holiday and decided to go there on first evening as it was close and we were tired after the drive. The welcome, attentiveness, atmosphere, service and food were all top notch. Other than Green/Red Curry and Sticky rice we knew little about Thai cuisine, but the waitress talked us through everything and offered suggestions and could not have been more helpful. The food was absolutely wonderful and we enjoyed it so much we decided to go back again on out final night to try more of the menu. Again it didn't disappoint.

Absolutely UNREAL food & service. Nicest Thai food we have ever tasted, we had a mixed starter for 2 plus a couple extra starters, 2 main meals and three sides (couldn’t decide so went for it all) and the price was so reasonable, we were shocked as we expected much more! Service is above and beyond, nothing is too much bother. Only wish we lived closer so we could visit again!

Took a punt on this Thai restaurant due to visiting nearby Pocklington and not having much choice there. Just 8 minutes away and worth the trip out. Very good choice and quality food. Service very attentive but not overly so. Excellent desserts for a Thai, albeit the banoffee dessert would have benefited from a few more minutes out of the freezer before serving. Slightly pricey but worth it.

Dined at the Thai season last night with a party of 8. Lovely, tasty, fresh food served in a relaxed and comfortable environment. 3 courses and two drinks which I found more than reasonably priced when the bill arrived. I will definitely return.

To say the reviews are so good we were expecting a lot more. The mixed stater platter was very dry and flavourless. I had the king prawn pad Thai, the prawns were cooked well and tasted nice but that's the only compliment I can give it, the noodles were claggy and everything lacked flavour. We also got the crispy chicken which again was incredibly bland, even lacking seasoning. Very poor in my opinion, £35 for 2 wasted.

Booked a table when staying in the area . Friday evening and there was 6 or 7 tables booked. Lovely lighting and ambience. Orders taken - sharing starter platter and then weeping tiger steak and Thai season Nasi . Platter was nice - ribs were very tender. Weeping tiger was different - just one sauce and not marinated in anything so quite dry. The Nasi was way too hot - menu said a mild dish . It was burning myself and my partners mouth so bad that we had to suck on cubes of ice in the water . Couldn't finish it it was so hot .

Me and my husband have been eating here and getting takeaways since Thai Seasons by Pritsana opened in 2016 and can honestly say we've not had 1 meal that has disappointed us. The staff here are unbelievably friendly, helpful and professional. The ambience and building is extremely welcoming and the food is absolutely amazing. We highly recommend a visit here!.

The staff are attentive the second you walk through the door. This is my children’s favourite restaurant and at 9 & 10 years old I am happy with that. The food is always great and very authentic, they are always happy to lighten the spice level to accommodate all tastes. The food and drink is very reasonably priced making it a treat but affordable on special occasions. Overall a wonderful place to eat, we will continue coming here.

Bought a takeaway meal when we were staying at the nearby Florida Keys park. Gluten free options were plenty available and good portion sizes. Food was piping hot and full of flavour. We would use this more if we lived nearby, we will come back when we go to the cabin again!

We love this place! My husband has coeliac so to get a decent curry-type take away is a challenge. Very coeliac friendly and easy to navigate. The food is so delicious we travel a round trip of 2 hours to eat here. They even gave a complimentary beer for our anniversary. Friendly staff.Would definitely recommend!

fabulous food , service and exceptional service

Edit: unfortunately the food was not as good as it was previously. I would still classify as authentic thai, but cooking was fairly average, dishes were hit and miss. Had a lovely dinner in the restaurant with the family and kids. The place is nicely rennovated with a lovely Thai decor. Relaxing Thai music playing in background and very good attentive service. Food was delicious - very authentic and good size portions.

Lovely decor, very attentive staff, fabulous food both vegetarian and meat enhanced. Also made a fuss of our party member celebrating his birthday. Good clear choices of different heat and spicy levels of food and are happy to swap about the set menu. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful find. Went for my Birthday a week ago. Stayed over the rooms were very clean and bed was comfotable. The restaurant was beautiful with windows open for ventilation the tables were well spaced out. I visited Thai Season at their kitchen unit in the shambles market Square in York, I chose spicey chicken rice and boneless crispy chicken both dishes were so full of flavour very filling and the portions were generous. I went back a second time the next day as the spicey chicken rice really was the best I've ever had. I normally get Singapore fried rice as I like the heat but Thai Season's rice was far superior. Heard great reviews! We stared off receiving great service was very happy, so we ordered and this is where it began so the pineapple juice was very dark and not fresh. We then had a starter it tasted like fairly liquid (fried tofu), our mains came out, tofu again tasted really strange, another dish, i asked for a mild curry to be a little more spicy for it to turn in to the world's hottest curry unable to eat more then the first mouthfull, then another portion; to top it off we got a FLY cooked in one of the dishs!! this was then replaced and came out so greasy as it clearly been rushed in the kitchen. The lady told us we didn't have to pay as it was such a bad experience, we started to leave to then have the chef shout very loud at the waitress to get us to pay for the food after the monstrosity we had been served. Out of respect we paid for the drinks even though the pineapple juice didn't get drank. I Won't be going out my way to eat there again.
