Bengal Lounge in East Riding of Yorkshire

Hands down the best Indian food I’ve ever had! The flavours were incredible—every dish was perfectly spiced and bursting with authentic taste. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed like family. The staff was warm, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The owner -Jabba was so lovely! The restaurant is newly decorated and looked fab. We drove just over a 50 mile round trip to go after ordering a takeaway from there the evening before at a local glamping site near to Pocklington. If you're craving top-notch Indian food, Bengal Lounge in Pocklington is the place to go. I’ll be back again!

Amazing food and delivery super fast!! I;m camping at Yapham Holds Glamping pods, ordered a curry off the cuff, was amazed at how fast it arrived and how tasty it was! will defo order again when in the area! 100% recommended!

Super food with a great veggie choice. We were visiting the area (staying in Allerthorpe) and noticed a few dishes we don't see in restaurants of this type in South Wales. Most definitely recommended.

Even since I booked a table at this venue, I have received countless promotional text messages from Bengal_42 to the point where it is pure harassment now! Despite deleting and blocking each message, each new message has a different number! And despite contacting them via email requesting the messages to STOP, the text messages continue! NO, I hugely regret ever contacting this place and giving them my phone number, it's beyond a joke now!

Delivered hot, tasty and good size portions

Ordered while staying at the KP resort / lodges. Delivered right to the door of our lodge, came quickly and was really hot. Everything was 10/10 we will definitely order again if we visit again. Thanks

Ordered a takeaway for speed. Easy website to navigate and ordering was easy! Pleasantly surprised on arrival to see a beautifully refurbished restaurant. Looks lovely! Food was very good … no complaints at all. Staff were hospitable and friendly! Next time we’ll eat in!

Amazing food and great service 👌 highly recommended

The restaurant is located in the town centre, plenty of free parking available after 6pm. The menu had the standard dishes and a few of the chefs specials. The portions were a good size, fresh ingredients and just the right amount of spices made a winning combination. Definitely worth a visit.

Great meal at newly refurbished restaurant. Lovely atmosphere friendly staff and the food outstanding. Visited twice in last few weeks and both time we had a really enjoyable experience. Refurbishment is a huge improvement and is now a great addition to eating out in Pocklington. Thank you look forward to seeing you again soon.

The Jaber service was one of the best I’ve ever had Tikka masala was beautiful

Had the most fabulous takeaway tonight. The food was delicious. Both the samosas and Onion Bargi were flaversome and crisp. The Nan bread was cooked perfectly. Not oily. Main courses hot and plentyfull and tasty. Can't wait to order again

Stopped by early evening on the off chance of a free table. Premises clean tidy, service very good and food very tasty and well presented. If I am in the area again, would certainly pay another visit. Thumbs up from me (and family).

Couldn’t recommend this place enough! The food was absolutely delicious and you get a good helpful. The service was 5*!!! All the staff was so friendly and so helpful. Will definitely be returning! Thank you all again 🙂

The Food at Bengal Lounge is always excellent. We visited again as the restaurant has been refurbished. The staff are brilliant and very friendly. My 8-year-old son says he rates them 5* for Service, 5* for Food, and an extra 5* as he was to go there every day! The new Sunday offer is a bargain at £15—lots of food, plenty to choose from, and still the same great quality.

Really great service and the food is the best Indian food we have tasted. Staff are so friendly and make you feel welcome each time. Couldn’t recommend enough and the new refurbishment has massively improved the feel of the place.

Had friends over staying with us here in pocklington, so we decided to go for curry, not been before, food was amazing 😋 plenty of choice, and good portions.. so much so I couldn't eat it , so the kind helpful staff boxed it up to take home. Lovely refurb too.... very relaxing . Really friendly helpful staff, atmosphere was great 👍 We will definitely be coming back, and would recommend it, if you want a decent authentic curry then give it a try. You won't be disappointed. Fabulous evening, Bengal lounge has recently had a make over and can I say it is fantastic! The food and service is exceptional, well worth a visit but be prepared to book on a weekend!!!

Amazing food! Poppadoms & Dips, then Sharer Pakoras, Samosas & Bhajis. Husband had Naga Mirch & I had Ceylon (both with Naan). By the time I came to my main meal I felt a bit full so I asked if I could get the rest to go, which they were happy to oblige & put our left overs in containers for us (made for a delicious breakfast!!) The restaurant was lovely & the staff were so friendly & provided a great service I would definitely recommend & would return.

We visit here twice a year when family get together we where highly pleased with the new look. The restaurant looks amazing. The food is always excellent and the staff attentive and friendly.would recommend darker blinds for blocking out the sun but other than that 10 out of 10 xx

Just got back from an amazing meal at Bengal Lounge. First time we've been since the refit and its better than ever - the place looks great after the refurb, the staff are so welcoming and friendly, and the food was incredible - well cooked, generous portions and super high quality ingredients - no stingy little pieces of meat lost in sauce but giant succulent chunks! It was honestly I think the best Indian meal that I've ever eaten, and we're already arranging to go back next month for birthday

Tired restaurant in need of renovation, order a medium and you get Vindaloo/Phaal strength curry. Second time I've been here and requested medium strength curry and got a complete gob burner. These guys don't seem to be able to cook from mild to medium they go mild to vindaloo / phaal strength. Had thousands of curries in dozens of restaurants but this us the only restaurant that doesn't understand medium. Be warned ⚠️

We had an amazing night. We chose Valentines night to eat in this restaurant.From the moment we entered the restaurant we were treated with excellent service. The staff were polite, friendly and attentive but also gave us space too. The food was amazing and the portions were generous. It was tasty and well presented. They even packed up our leftovers to take home. Highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning!!! Thank you for a perfect evening.

I liked the place . I went to dine in with my family. The child seat which they have provided was very dirty. The man who had given the seat knows how dirty it was even though he didn't hesitate to give it to customers. I put the baby's jacket and a towel over the seat to make sure it is OK for my baby to sit . The food was good. The ambience was amazing. But I personally don't wish to visit that place again.

Reasonably priced, good sized portions and tasted freshly made. The showstopper was the Naan bread (we ordered tikka Naan and the special Naan) definitely the best we've ever had! Staff were super friendly and attentive - however we were the only ones in the restaurant!
