Iwas on a coach trip the 24th of May the coach broke down So the majority of the coach walked to Tickton hotel for tea or coffee The staff where wonderful enough though they where very busy with a wedding and a birthday party Tea and coffee was first class the crockery was of very good quality Just want to say thank you for excellent service

I'm very fortunate to stay in some great places and this hotel did not disappoint. Easy to find, loads of parking and the grounds are beautiful. On check in I was greeted by Callum who helped carry the bags to the room explaining about the hotel and the amenities. The room was lovely and immaculately clean, nice touches like a welcome note from the owners and freshly made cookies. I stayed for two nights and had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, everyone I came in to contact with used my name and was really friendly, the staff clearly enjoyed their job. The food was superb and I don't know how the restaurant isn't in the Michelin guide, the first night I had a trio taster to start and the best lamb I have eaten in years, second night the duck and then chicken, seriously the food and wine was impeccable. Callum who welcomed me also looked after me at dinner and being a solo diner we chatted about the day and it was clear he liked to get to know his guests, impeccable service and manners "old school". After dinner I had a wonder around the grounds and the care inside the hotel is replicated outside, a small kitchen garden, bee hives, wild meadow and an incredible viewing platform which looked out over the deer on the meadow. I am so glad I found this hotel, well done to the staff its lovely to go to a private hotel and receive such excellent service and attention to detail.

We had our wedding here recently and it was, without a doubt, the most perfect day we could have hoped for. From the very beginning, the support we received from the venue team was incredible—always kind, professional, and genuinely committed to making sure everything went smoothly. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and that made us feel completely at ease. The venue itself was absolutely immaculate. Everything was spotless and beautifully presented, whether guests were staying overnight or just there for the celebration. So many of our guests commented on how stunning and well-kept everything was—it really added to the atmosphere. The food was also a real highlight—absolutely delicious and beautifully served. We had so many guests raving about it, which just made the whole day feel that much more special. Another thing that really stood out was how seamlessly the venue team worked with our third-party suppliers—our cake maker, florist, DJ, and more. Everything just came together so effortlessly behind the scenes, and we never had to worry about a thing. It was clear that they had great communication and a real attention to detail. We felt completely looked after from start to finish, and we are so grateful to the entire team for helping create such a joyful, relaxed, and unforgettable day. Had afternoon tea with family, superb in every way

Excellent food, good service and a lovely setting.

This is a great place for an afternoon tea if you are gluten free. Very clued up about cross contamination and a fab variety of sweet treats and delicate sandwiches. The gluten free bread is some of the best I have eaten. My favourite is their gluten free scone-fluffy and delicious. The surroundings are lovely and the roaring fires on a cold day are very welcome. The staff have always been attentive and chatty.

Social visit - fantastic as always

Stayed in The Morris Suite for NYE and it was brilliant- Very friendly staff and clean spacious room staff even invited us to the ball after 10pm and gave us breakfast the next day even though we missed the allotted time Pricey but worth it

Really liked the afternoon tea and the countryside setting.

We have dinned at Tickton Grange every Christmas day since 2018. The service is always excellent, the staff so friendly and welcoming. The food, five courses is consistently excellent. Over the years we have had my father's 70th birthday in one of the private rooms for hire. The hotel is a charming early Victorian building (1840s) with lots of character, especially the Library Bar with views of the lawn and grounds.

Had the pleasure of staying at this hotel last week for five nights - Thursday to Monday. From check in to check out nothing was a problem, each staff member was friendly, helpful, couldn’t do enough for us. Housekeeping kept our room lovely, the blonde young lady on breakfast was so polite. The chap on our last evening that took care of us for our dinner was very attentive and very knowledgable. Unfortunately I didn’t get these three people’s names, but they deserve a special mention. On our last morning Maddie was brilliant so friendly at breakfast. And Eileen wow, what a lovely, nice friendly lady! The staff at this hotel really are what make the hotel!! They all deserve their weight in gold. As for the hotel, it was beautiful, clean, well equipped, kept warm all night. There is not one bad thing I can say. And yes Eileen we will definitely be coming back to stay - Thank you all at Tickton Grange Hotel

Phenomenal food and fantastic service

We have just returned today following a nights stay at the Tickton Grange Hotel. From the moment of our arrival to our departure we cannot fault the service, really smily helpful lady on reception, to the waiting on staff and house keepers. The cleanliness and quality of the hotel is 1st class. We have stayed in many hotels over the years some central London top hotels, and we have to say this is without doubt up at the top of our best ever hotels. You have a great team and the food is well presented and of excellent quality. We certainly will be back, and anyone considering using this hotel, I say try it you won't be dissapointed. Thanks all of you.

Was there for a wedding. Lovely venue and set out amazingly. Only dissapointment was how long it took to get served at the smallest bar ever

Stayed here the night of our marriage. A lovely room called the Morris. Spacious. Comfy. That shower was amazing too to get rid of my sleepy head in the morning. Friendly staff on reception too. Thank you.

Went for an afternoon tea, very nice surroundings, relaxing atmosphere and lovely food with quality tea and coffee and even a conversation with the owner

We booked a room that allowed dogs .. it was comfortable, clean and powerful shower , albeit a little old fashioned and perhaps a biscuit with the coffee selection and a decaf coffee for my wife would not have gone a miss ..However, the bar and restaurant offered , great service . A fantastic evening meal of the highest standard was enjoyed by us both and followed by a terrific breakfast .The grounds are nice with a pleasant stroll for the pooch . Not too far from the town of Beverly but we weren’t too fussed on going out there

Stayed for a night to celebrate a special occasion, was great and very relaxing. It was a quiet night, not many guests, so we only came across three staff members but all were exceptionally polite, attentive and very helpful. We ate in the restaurant and the menu was lovely, we chose the Bloomsbury option which included more courses, but the food and its' presentation was absolutely stunning. We visit here a lot as it's not far from home and every occasion, whether afternoon tea or an evening meal, is a real treat.

I visited with my mum and daughter for afternoon tea. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Classy, elegant surroundings, food and service. If you are looking to have a quintessential afternoon tea then this is the place. The best around by far.

Our usual monthly lunch for the old boys to reminisce and sort the world out. Good food and wine and of course excellent company

Excellent from. Booking with ,Dan the owner lovely man came and said hello. We had afternoon tea a gift from our grandson and his wife Eileen was really helpful nothing was too much trouble It was set in a lovely dinning room.with a real log fire and the view was ooh fantastic. Stayed here many years ago . Even better than I remembered . Very well looked after by Dan he was friendly , helpful and attentive. First class service. Beautiful , bespoke rooms & one of the finest dining experiences I’ve had in a long time . Real fire , David Hockney pictures , lovely library , warm friendly ambience. Very well recommended .
