Good pub with nice selection of beers, however is not well accommodated for female pub goers. Unfortunately the only ladies toilet is shared with the only disabled toilet so is accessed by those who simply do not want to walk up stairs to use the men’s. (This was observed many times during our visit.) The only female toilet doesn’t have a sanitary bin, but has a pedal bin on the other side of the room. Slightly inconvenient for those who require it, and not very hygienic. A shame for such a quaint pub. Maybe they forget that females drink beer too.

Stopped in for fish And chips with a coffee.
Very friendly polite service, clean well presented venue. Great view over the harbour, enjoyed sitting with a glass of wine on the balcony.
Fish And chips Very nice and good quality coffee.
Clean tasting fish, great batter and tasty mushy peas.
Only grumble is the small portion came on a very small plate which was a bit clumsy to eat off. The lack of space meant the fish was served on top of the chips causing some to go soggy and too oily.

Happen to drive past and decided to give this place a try....fantastic! Very friendly and welcoming, very helpful when it came to ordering. Both had Sunday lunches (they were out of beef so offered the beef bourginon instead which was delicious), portions were just the right size. Don't think we've ever had such great roast potatoes, so fluffy inside but crispy on the outside. Reasonably priced for the quality of food, will definitely visit again.

What a super pub this is. The room we stayed in was clean, comfortable and light, everything one wants when you take a break. The food was excellent and the staff were attentive and very pleasant. Thank you all.
What a great find! We were on holiday in Ayton and the three other fish & chip shops nearby were closed (Wed evening, mid April 🤔) but Seamer Fisheries, tucked away in Seamer High St. was open. The cod portion was pretty large and really nicely cooked in a light, crispy batter. Will definitely go there again when I next visit.
