My dad has been raving about this place for ages so I'm glad we finally tried it! We shared the mixed biryani and the boneless chicken handi. Everything was so beautifully spiced and tasty. Absolutely can't wait to come again!

Tasty and spicy delicious Indian food. Taste buts were rejuvenated. It's worth the money. Need to upgrade the atmosphere and kitchen area.

Last night we ordered Apna style and the food was amazing and delicious and the food quality was very good. Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had some really tasty Lamb Gosht here and the veggie pakoras were bang on. Well priced menu. It seems the same (or very similar) base of is used across a variety of curries as the lamb karai was very similar in taste. The lamb was really tender.

Superb food, very friendly staff.....no bells and whistles but easily the best curry in Sheffield. Authentic, traditional food. The fish handi is incredible, the Tawa such good value for money. Getting busier recently, the secret is getting out!

Very good service and tasty food

Location is a bit off from the city centre and is not like a proper restaurant. It's got seating arrangements for around 4-5 groups of people. The food is amazing. Wanted to try it out for a long time and was totally worth it. Anyone craving for that typical Indian subcontinent like spices in your food must try this place out.

I went in randomly, I was Sheffield at the time. They took my order ,and welcomed me , this group of Asian guys were eating they gave me pakoras and sweet rice on the house ,well I was waiting for my order. The food I ordered was really tasty. This was good etiquette and wonderful welcoming by the staff and the Boss. I highly recommend this place for Food, Kindness and welcoming. I will visit there again Thank you

I’ve now visited this excellent place for take away 30 or 40 times over the past couple of years. It has never let me down. Tonight I introduced some friends to their cooking and we all agreed it was excellent. I would suggest you ask for medium spicy if hot isn’t to your taste.

Good traditional little place with quality food. They use fresh ingredients and make you feel very well looked after and at home. If you want a good curry in Sheffield it’s the place to be. I highly recommend it.

My experience was so good there. Staff is very friendly and helpful and all the food is very very tasty same like pakistani taste. I’m highly recommend this place for dinner because it’s quite area and can sit outside and can enjoy food and atmosphere. Thanks

Just had a tawa when I arrived to pick up I was greeted with many smiles & was informed it would be ready in 5mins & it was. I could see the chefs cooking it all fresh all of them were very well presented & friendly. Had the one for 3 as 3 of us lol but would have been enough if we ordered for 2. The food was fresh & tasty & still hot when we got home. There is a few tables to eat in/ out .Highly recommend this place give it a try. Well done guys will be back soon.

Hands down the most authentic experience to ‘Apna’ style cooking. The food was perfect, genuine lamb, amazing Tava selection, curries were very tasteful with natural oils. Great attentive staff and service. Pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed.

Overall, the experience was subpar, and I do not recommend this restaurant. I order Paya and found #Hairs in paya i show them there are too much hairs in Paya but they didn’t show that they are worried about this. I refused to eat but still they charge me for that spoil food.

I was in sheffield and looked for halal restaurants. I ordered 2 kebabs and half grilled chicken. I must say it was fresh and tasty. Very hospitable owner and staff. Tea after dinner was fantastic and complimentary. If I visit sheffield again, definitely will be visiting. Food is relatively cheap comparing to London.

Came late on an evening and had a warm welcome. Tawas are excellent value. Delicious curries which don't have too much spice /heat added. Very much like home food. Grilled meats and chips are made fresh there and then. Late on a night grilled meats and things made fresh are your best bets. Rotis and naans can get a little tough by the end of the day. Recommend

I ordered achari chicken (boneless) and received chicken with a few bones but no achaar. I was told it would cost £15 but ended up paying £1 more, not sure for what.

Another good halal food choice, its more of takeaway so don't expect ambience. We were passing by the location, so thought to try . Everything we ordered was made on authentic style.

My wife and I ate here on a Wednesday afternoon and wanted a light lunch, which included their Fish Pakora starter and their Apna style Special biryani mains. We opted for the spicy (hot) level rather than mild option. The pakora was very tasty and made with good quality fish and in a light coating. The biryani which contained lamb & chicken was superb and probably the best we have had in a restaurant. It had a depth of flavour and the right level of heat for our tastes. Both items were generous in quantity and sufficient for the two of us. The service was quick, welcoming and at under £20 very good value for this authentic style of food.

Struggled to find a traditional curry since mangla closed. Find this place and i love it. The fact that it's as good as mangla food wise is a big plus, But it's open everyday too. Staff are very friendly. Nothing too much trouble.

Authentic, expertly cook fresh food. I was unsure about writing this review because I don't want the secret to get out. People travel to get this food. It's not flash there's no frills just extremely good food.

If you like authentic Pakistani food then this is the place to go! I've been searching for 'proper' curry house in Sheffield ever since the Mangla Restaurant closed at the turn of the year. The place is very small - just 6 inside tables - but very cozy and welcoming (I'm English, white). It is more of a cafe or takeaway place than a restaurant, but you are welcome to grab a seat (if available!) and eat in. I've been there 4 or 5 times now in the past few months and there's always been a good number of people of Asian origin there - which tells you all you need to know about the quality and authenticity of the food. If you are a chicken tikka masala type of curry eater, then this place is probably not for you, but if you like traditional Pakistani food then I would highly recommend it.

After coming to uk i have been to many restaurants but didn't find any taste but this was the one where i would say The food was really fantastic. I would highly recommend everyone to try it once.

Best place for curries my go to place when can't be bothered to make curry at home. Definitely try as these guys make proper authentic apna style curries and the chutney you get is also really good.

We used to live in Sheffield, and go to this place regularly. We have moved to Manchester, and we still to Sheffield every now and then just to eat their amazing authentic food. The portions are generous and the prices are very fair and a fraction of other places.

The food was very good, amazing portions getting the tawa for 3 people. Went there with family and had a great time, there is a mosque literally opposite the place so could pray while waiting for the food to be done. They gave free tea at the end of the meal. The tea was surprisingly exceptionally good. Definitely will be glad to visit again.

We visited this place on 23rd of March, being from Wales , we were expecting the food to be semi desi but to our surprise, the food was 100% authentic pakistani, spicy and delicious. The green chutney was the winner for us !!

Both me and the co pilot went there for some much needed food, unbeknownst to us we just might've discovered a national treasure! Excellent food no matter what is ordered. Lamb Karahi and Lamb Chops were our favourite.

I like this takeaway/restaurant very much. Authentic! Prices have gone up recently, but this is stil one of the best asian restaurant in Sheffield! Their fish curry is super as the daal and the lamb saag..

I been to London/Luton/Birmingham/Manchester etc but no restaurants or any takeaway charges £2 for 1 single naan.... This place is a rip off ....

Awful experience. Chicken curry was like boiled chicken with a little sauce on it. Asked for lamb curry and got beef which was rubbery. Also got overcharged.

Been to this place a few times now and always left having enjoyed a lovely meal. The premises are just really a takeaway with a few tables and open plan kitchen. It's not somewhere you would go for valentines and hope to impress your lady..!!!. However if you're only focus is good food then try to sit and eat there as it will be freshly made and served in the dish rather than a takeaway container. I've tried different dishes here both Meat and Vegetables...always excellent. Key point here is the Tandoori Roti and Chappatis are made using wholemeal flour which is much healthier than standard bleached white flour, which again is more authentic and reminiscent of village style bread in places like Kashmir and Pakistan. Prices are reasonable and free delivery available.

I can’t actually believe I’m writing this, but I ordered a sandwich and fish pakora takeaway from here tonight. I had a very pleasant and cordial interaction with the lady serving. Went home started eating, only to realise there was sticky mucus on my sandwich, on my hand and, unfortunately in my mouth. I rang the restaurant to complain. The lady seems genuine, but she didn’t cook the food. Someone either didn’t catch their sneeze 🤧, or they don’t like the look of me … for some reason … feel totally violated. If I could give this - 5 stars it wouldn’t be negative enough. I’m thinking carefully about what I do next.

Been here a few times now can honestly say curries are banging, up there with the best of Yorkshire curry houses. Good service good portions, nice authentic chutney, however it was let down by the seekh kebabs wich could have been better, still they were perfectly serviceable, price point excellent, I would give it a 4.5 but it doesn't allow me. Will definitely come bk here

I been first time , really impressed with their service and time, quick fast service , taste chicken really like Pakistani grill , nice lamb handi plus cod fish really nice Moderate price , small place for sitting if little bit bigger it's better Toilet really tiny Will visit again soon As I visited this time v busy, not really recommend for family because, only small sitting place, a lot prices increased, I don't understand by only pay by cash, big time parking problem , v tight sitting

Pricing itself out of the market, I have been to this place about 20 times and the food has always been good. The last three visits have seen my order go from £20 to £26 then £31 over a few weeks. I know costs are rising but £5 for a very small portion of rice is extortionate. I’m afraid I’m going elsewhere from now on.

Asked for Lamb curry and a portion of kebabs but guy on reception didn’t ask to clarify and gave Spinach lamb curry. Poorly cooked and hard boneless meat. During eating we discovered plastic band (see picture) which must have been used to tie spinach….yuk. Kebabs were dry. There was no salad or sauce given with the food. Bread (roti) was half cooked. I didn’t tell this directly to the guy at reception as he always seems least interested to know about any problems and really needs to learn about customer care. I would try to avoid the place next time.

Excellent authentic Asian food . Very generous portions and very reasonably priced . I had lamb saag with pilau rice , and was asked if I would like it spicy. I replied that I would please and wasn’t disappointed. Absolutely delicious!!! Can’t wait to return. 😊

ordered 1kg lamb karahi for which i was charged 35 pounds.honestly hard to believe they call it krahai.felt like boiled lamb meat with some mild gravery.very bad taste.i am a foodie and tend to try various resturants.this was my worst experience.expensive and very ordinary
