Family owned Italian restaurant, great atmosphere, good food.

Food is always brilliant. Lovely atmosphere and really nice staff.

Went here with my family and only had positive things to say about it. The staff is very friendly and the food was overall great taste wise and also for a good price. Will definitely be coming here again and would recommend more people to come here.

The food was great - cannot fault it. Good Italian cuisine. I’m giving a 1-star though because right at the end of the meal, the waitress told us that it’s “cash only”. This ruined the entire experience for me. I asked the waiter why they were “cash only” and he told me that the card machine was broken. After reading these reviews, that’s a lie as they have been cash only for years. It’s clear that they don’t care about the convenience of their customers. They just tell you to go outside and use the cash machine. It’s clear that the business more than likely not doing their books right because it’s cash only, and pay their team with cash. They don’t want to be paying payment processors the cut for convenience. They didn’t care about hygiene during COVID cus it’s cash only. The business is run like it’s in the 90’s. To the owner who I hope reads this - get a card machine, pay the fees that they charge, pay your staff via their bank accounts and make life more convenient for your customers.

Food was amazing, lovely restaurant but not quite 5 stars purely because of the lack of interaction from staff, we never got asked how our food was etc, there was no conversation, just felt like we had food and drink brought to our table and that was it. This might be just down to experience! Other than that it was lovely 😍

Amazing food, amazing company and amazing staff!!!

My Lasagne came as a small portion in a giant pool of tomato soup. The fries had never seen a fryer. The food was worse than the choice of font on the signage, and that really is saying something.

As always, we love going to Papa's Ciccio's. The food obviously is the best. Plenty to choose from, exciting specials on the Special Board. Bring your own wine still happening. Soft drinks can be bought. The staff are always eager to please. We love it❤....love you guys. Thankyou

Papa's is the best , the staff are amazing and i have massive respect for the owner and chef his food is delicious and never disappoints , me my partner and her parents are regulars to dine here and always recommend it to our friends and family.

Everything tonight was perfect, as it always is. There were 5 of us out to celebrate our youngest daughter's birthday. All the food arrived promptly, nothing was too much trouble.I ordered off the Specials Board, the lobster ravioli to start, then the Swordfish with muscles, absolutely out of this world. My life feels complete. Thankyou to all of you.

Spur of the moment to dine in and was made really welcome. Great service with good friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious … we went for lobster ravioli and melon & Parma ham for starters and steak for the main, steak was cooked perfect. Generous servings too. We have been here a few times over the years and has always been top quality food and service.

After 16 of us crammed together and not enough plate space for everyone couldn’t believe it really prisoners get more space.. starters were fine..main course wasn’t brilliant think 5 of us had cannelloni never had before I left half mine chicken and mince meat more sauce than anything never again especially seen as all of us when we got home spent few hours in the toilet not good!! Very over priced aswell don’t risk it people😬🤢

Outstanding authentic food, delivery quick food hot delivery driver polite and dressed immaculate, I've had hundreds of carbonara tagliatelle from all over and this food beat them all, I had fries and salad and they was very nice to, I have already recommended this restaurant to my friends and family as I don't want them to miss out, the reviews are very good and we are already planning visiting this restaurant already thankyou for your beautiful food

Food is absolutely delicious, I haven't had a lasagne that was that nice for a long long time. We had a takeaway delivered all the way to chesterfield and was the best decision ever. Really helpful staff and always smiling which is rare these days. Highly recommended 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Just to say as massive thank you to Ebbo and the whole team at Papa Ciccio's for our fabulous party on Saturday afternoon. The food, drinks and atmosphere were all amazing and we felt truly looked after and special. How ever they manage to produce food for over 20 people all at the same time is incredible. We ordered two carbonara's and a garlic bread. The dish was swimming in grease, tasteless and full of fatty ham that was inedible. For the cost of the order (£32.00 for just 3 items) I was very disappointed.

Papa Cs in an institution in Crosspool, we have been going there for over 30 years and it never disappoints, Ibo and his team always make you feel valued and the food is always excellent!

We recently had family visiting from Oman and Germany and they expressed a wish to visit Papa Ciccios The ambiance of the restaurant, the management,staff, and menu, food,are all first class. The staff could not be more accomodatinga thoroughly great experience was had by all our party including one of our German guests who was celebrating her birthday and was overwhelmed when her cake was brought in and the staff and other diners gave her a rousing chorus of Happy birthdayI can thoroughly recommend the restaurant to anyone

Gorgeous food and very attentive and friendly service. We visited for a birthday meal and had a fantastic time, all commenting afterwards on how tasty and authentic our meals were. I'd say this was one of the best Italian restaurants in Sheffield, we just wish it was our local as we'd be able to visit more often!

Yesterday unfortunately we have been stood up from our table at Papa Ciccio’s. I haven’t even finished my main course as yet, whilst my loved ones who I’ve tried to treat to a nice evening just about cleared their plates. When I’ve booked the table I was told that we will have it at least till 8pm, but at 19:24 comes the waitress presenting me with our bill in a wooden box mid meal?!? Really?!? The waitress then confirmed that whilst pre-COVID they’ve done 2 sittings per night, now it’s 3 sittings between 6-12pmish. I am so sorry, but even with the 3 sittings stretching over the 6hrs or so mathematically isn’t it 2hrs one should have the table for? Or are you doing 1.5hrs, but then have an empty restaurant from 10:30pm onwards so you can tidy up till midnight? You service just simply isn’t quick enough to present the meals when you have a full house. (Indeed we were a few mins early, but that didn’t help us either.) You aren’t socially distancing the tables, nor trying to live up to any other COVID measures any longer (yes, you don’t have a legal obligation any more to e.g. wear masks, distance guests or e.g. enhance your cleaning between them), but so why are you cutting your guests short? Why the rush? You are unfortunately trying to generate extra revenue even vs your pre-pandemic occupancy / 2 sittings back then so we understand from your staff. Taking cash only then in 2022 also makes one wonder?! We are awarding 2 starts to you as our starters + mains were good - so a shout out to your chef, thank you!, but we won’t come here again unfortunately if we can’t finish 2 courses, never mind about us not even being presented your dessert menu! If we would have known that we are restricted to 2 courses, sorry, but then your guests may have the preference to skip the starters (well, I would have done and indeed I’ve asked for the dessert menu at the start, but your waitress told me it will be brought later…). We have of course paid in full, but having had to walk to a local cash machine whilst your next guests for our table already stood in the doorway felt more pressures / too overcrowded. We have expressed our dissatisfaction to your staff at the time - been offered liquor on the house to make up for the poor experience. I am sorry, but we aren’t drinkers, hence we politely declined this, rather hoped for 3 good courses of food on the night. A party of 10 people across us visibly arrived earlier & also been allowed to stay longer than ourselves. So if tables present more costumers than just the 3 of us, well, they may get better treatment at this restaurant. We hope you will revert to 2 sittings, better costumer service / more clear communication and start using card payments. Then perhaps we would look to return / give you guys another chance which you have asked for. I am ever so sorry for the “reality checking” review, especially as I am not a confrontational person & I really would have preferred to leave a 5 star rating. There are lots of fantastic restaurants in Sheffield which we regularly enjoy, but last night was sub standard.

Went for a lovely dinner here with my mum. The staff are amazing and really friendly. I had a delicious goats cheese, sweet pepper and spinach pizza and my mum had a calzone. For dessert profiteroles and pancakes. All of the food was presented beautifully and was delicious. The meal with finished with complementary limoncello. Got slightly caught out as it's cash only, but there is a cash machine about 50m away.

Seriously, these guys AIN’T playing. Such diligent, professional service. Combining a beautiful setting with exquisite food , Papa Ciccio is a MUST visit. BYOB is a huge positive, too. Would I return again? Heck to the Ye!

Wow! What a find this was. If you closed your eyes and the people around you were speaking Italian you'd be forgiven for thinking you are in Italy. Very good ambience. They have a very good menu with enough variety to suit all tastes. You'd have to be very fussy if you couldn't find something you liked. The staff are always on hand without being over powering and the prices are very reasonable. This was our first visit but we'll definitely be dining there again. There are so many other menu items we want to try.

Went on Saturday night for a birthday meal, I have to say that it's probably the best italian I've ever been to.... I actively look for Italian restaurants when I'm working all over the UK and I have tried quite a few over the years, this was fantastic and very reasonable with the pricing.... We brought our own wine which is something I always enjoy doing... Will definitely be back when next in Sheffield.

This is a family favourite. To start with the food - Never had a bad meal, typically good portions, plenty of flavour and always a good temperature. Decor - unique, you will spot something different every time weird and wonderful really adds to the character. Staff - the owners and the senior team have been there for years, fantastic, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Pretty tightly packed gives a great atmosphere. Takeaways and BYOW give you additional reasons to go back. Highly recommended.

Papa Ciccios has been a very popular restaurant in this area since the late 1970's, the restaurant is has a cosy atmosphere. they serve expertly cooked rusty Italian food at a more than reasonable price, the staff are extremely welcoming, and can't do enough for you. In conclusion I would highly Papa Ciccio's to anyone young/old families, couples etc.

Had takeaway from our favourite restaurant. It was fabulous. We had garlic mushrooms, bruschetta and sardines to start, followed by lasagne and seafood pasta for mains. Lovely food and friendly staff. Cant wait to visit again

Great food and lovely service! It's not cheap... but it's worth it!

I had a cheese topped filet steak, melted in my mouth. Nice house red - merlot. The meal included veg, or salad, or chips, which for an Italian restaurant not to charge extra as a side, is exceptional. Good portions, good service, good value.
