Kito's in Sheffield

We dropped in here for a birthday meal on what seemed like a very busy night for a Wednesday in Woodseats - perhaps Eide had something to do with it, who knows? We had mussels for starters with brushetta that had lots of well-seasoned tomatoes on, both were very good. My partner had pizza, which did taste authentic and I had seafood pancake, which could have done with some more actual seafood, but it did the job. Although we were not in a hurry at all, we did find the service a bit too "relaxed" at times, I'm not sure that one person serving all the tables worked on the night. I can't help but wonder why a restaurant advertises itself as a BYO and then charges people for drinking their own wine. What am I paying the £3 for when no one opens the bottle and their is no option to buy wine from the restuarant? Apart from that, the staff and atmosphere are are pleasant and the prices are not OTT.

Super friendly, small traditional Italian restaurant. BYOwine with corkage charge, means you get to chose what you really like. Food was delicious. Very reasonably priced. We will be back!

A date night with the hubby. The staff and the food were absolutely excellent. Fantastic atmosphere and very friendly.

Went to Kito’s to celebrate my wife’s birthday there was 6 of us and what a night we had. The service from a very pleasant young girl was fantastic, three of us had the sirloin steak cooked and seasoned to perfection. We meet some wonderful people in kito’s who all joined in with our singing and made it a very memorable evening, All in All a lovely place and quality food and service, thank you.

Lovely old skool Italian. BYOB, attentive, lovely and friendly service, good-sized portions, very reasonable prices. We had the room upstairs as we were a party of 17. We had two excited children with us so upstairs was perfect Highly recommend.

I know everyone in Woodseats raves about Kito's but I'd always been put off by the size of the venue when I have a youngest child with ADHD (more out of my own paranoia about him disturbing other guests) but we went early tonight and we should have never been worried. Service was amazing and they couldn't have done more for us. Going above and beyond every step of the way, even down to letting my kids go and roll their own pizza dough. The food was a bit old school 'anglo-italian' (which is sometimes just the comfort food you need), but all well prepared and cooked with love and reasonably priced. Could not recommend it any more strongly and we now have a regular neighbourhood restaurant we'll visit again and again.

First time in this restaurant and very pleased with the food we all had different dishes and all looked tasty and well presented , the homemade dessert were delicious , especially the panacotta and cheesecake. . We can t wait to return. , thanks to all the staff

Our family party made a recent visit here on a Saturday evening. We have visited several times in the past and looked forward to our first visit under the present owners. Sadly, we were disappointed. The over-riding issue was poor service throughout, even at the beginning when the restaurant was very quiet. Plates were taken between courses in a haphazard manner spread out in ones and twos and in the end we had to ask a server to complete the task without interruption. Also, alerting someone to take a further drinks order was problematic. Our meals were average at best, although my Wife had burnt elements in both her starter and her main dish. A poor evening and we won't be returning.

First time visit...Amazing pork ribs and mushroom dolcelatta starters and pizza and pasta mains ... Lovely staff and fantastic food... Will definitely return ❤️

Five of us on a Friday night. Table downstairs but I understand for larger groups there is more room upstairs. Very good service. Quiet atmosphere all night so we managed to have plenty of conversations! Food was good quality standard Italian and on time. All in all we had a good night out and would highly recommend Kitos. We opted for 'bring your own" drinks, but you pay for corkage of £4 for wine and £1 for beer.

Very pleased with Kitos last night, we came here as a walk in, due to walking out of another Italian restaurant 5 minutes down the road. At first I was a little worried, it was cramped, however, they didn't disappoint me, drinks was ordered instantly and received quite quickly. Food was ordered after about 10 minutes wait, but that was probably due to the understaffed situation in the kitchen. My partner did not enjoy hers. They did offer her something else, but I feel at this point, she had gone past hunger and had given up on the night. I had the risotto, and loved it. Good value for money, everything fresh. CASH IS KING.

Garlic bread with cheese very good, carbonara a bit dry, calzone good, pizza good. Service very slow ,2 hours fro arrival to receive our main courses.

Had a beautiful meal here last night all fresh ingredients cooked to order, had a little wait as I ordered the risotto but that just gave us more time to chat and drink wine. Fantastic food and service. I highly recommend the new owners menu.

All food fresh made clean and delicious😍 We have it steak cooked with fresh spinach and gorgonzola..pizza’s are all gorgeous and child’s love it the bolognese pasta..😍 We will be back soon.Thank you for hospitality and the best service.🌺

Food average and the service was really good but the seating is really cramped.

Highly recommend place to visit. Excellent food and service , waitresses where extremely friendly and the food was a 10/10 and the service matched my expectations. The desserts followed where very full filling. The restaurant its self had a very nice atmosphere, nice place to sit and enjoy some food with family we all enjoyed coming here!

Small but cosy place, so it's a mystery why it took so long for a pizza and a frittata to arrive. Pizza is good. It's generally expensive

Four of us went for an early evening meal, every one really enjoyed the starters, mains and desserts, price caomparable to most other small restaurants with nothing to criticise or complain about. Josie the waitress was extremly pleasant and attentive, they have good selection of starters, mains and desserts. I can heartily recommend Kitos, thats why they are still around after 40 years In Woodseats.

Went to kito’s on Saturday 21st may 22 a group of 6 friends, everyone had a lovely meal served with a smile. I had the serloin it was the best steak I have ever had a gorgeous 10 full ounce cooked to perfection. A busy place with a nice atmosphere and the service was faultless. A great place to share with friends will definitely be back, thank you.

Fantastic food and great value for money

Called at 815 on a Saturday very lat minute and luckily a table had just come free. Super friendly staff plus chef (owner) who came to check meal all ok. No olives on menu but when requested, served with bread and oil. Reasonably priced, BYO £3.50 corkage and delicious food. Thank you. It’s been a while since we visited (previous owners) but we’ll be back!

Delicious fresh italian food, staff friendly and incredibly good value. I can heartily recommend the pizza. And it's byo wine! We will be going back again soon.

I'm surprised that Kito's is rated so highly, i think its top 50 in Sheffield, and i dont agree personally. Ive had dinner twice at Kito's and i overall found it good enough (came back a second time, after all), but certainly not the best in town... its been refurbished I believe and looks lovely, the dishes have appropriate pricing and the service is fine enough... but most things I have tired were "alright" and not much more to be sincere...

We went to the newly furnished Kitos and were impressed with the decor and layout. The menu was not as extensive as the previous one but there still was much to choose from. The starters were delicious and the main courses of lamb chops and chicken cacciatore were in lovely sauces. Great service and good value for money. We will be back and soon.

Kitos food excellent, but they really need to do something about waiting on staff, Sunday’s seem to be particularly poor, just not up to it and having to wait 20 mins for plates to be cleared. Restaurant wasn’t busy but just not looking at tables this really is not what you want, didn’t bother with desert as fed up of waiting for plates to be cleared However food was excellent

We have a monthly meal about ten to fifteen of us went to kito's this month and meals were perfect and we was well looked after.

What a great restaurant! Friendly, knowledgeable and efficient staff, and superb food.

Really enjoyed our time at kito's,excellent choices of starters and mains,plus specials menu which I had on the night seafood calzone really tasty, take your own wine or beers also,great service from the staff,will be returning for definite, get it booked in.

Our group consisted of 5 adults and 3 children. There isnt a kids menu but you can order anything off the menu as a half portion which to me is much better. everyone at our table really enjoyed the food and the service was brilliant. they were busy and also had a large birthday party upstairs but we didnt feel this enfringed on us at all. we will defintley be back The only thing I could say in a negative way was that they did give my friends bottle of prosecco (byob) to the table upstairs (not sure why someone would accept a bottle that didnt belong to them) they did give us £10.00 off the bill though.

Went last night for the 3rd time since they have reopened and the food and service just keeps getting better. We took my partner's 2 granddaughters they were a member of staff down and the place was packed but there was no long waits for...

£25 for the menu on that day is too cheap ! lovely service , crackers , amazing food , turkey and sage sauce was out of this world .... amazing individual bread still warm like out the oven.... the beef brisket on the bone was like butter ... loved all of it ! thank you so much to all staff to make this day so nice . happy new year .xx

My husband I treated ourselves to Christmas Eve dinner and eagerly looked forward to it for weeks, and were not disappointed. We received a warm welcome from the young front of house team who looked after us very well. The food was freshly prepared, beautifully...

We had our first delicious meal at Kitos last night. We’d heard a lot about the place as we live nearby so we were pleased to finally get there and try it out for ourselves. We had a starter and main which were very good...

We've tried different Italians over the years and we felt as though we never had the full experience.. however kitos has delivered every time we have visited. Amazing food served by lovely and helpful staff (nothing is too much trouble!) Great atmosphere and great deals...

I ate alone in July , very good the starters, really big portion. Really bad pizza, very far from an Italian pizza. Dessert nothing special. Service was good but incomplete, no napkins, no cutlery... Bill was ok but no receipt printed.

We visited here on a Friday evening (12th July) and it was empty, no atmosphere at all which is a bit odd because in the past it was always busy at this time. Anyway we ordered ribs, salmon bruschetta and a couple of prawn cocktails for starters, two calzones and two pizzas for mains all of which were nice. But that was it, nice. Last time we came we had to listen to kitchen and waiting staff effing and jeffing even though we had kids with us they didn’t stop when we asked them to. Also on that visit the food was quite poor, the crespelle was just mush - a bit like cat food.

Hemos estado aquí varias veces, ya que tiene una buena relación calidad-precio: puede obtener 3 platos por 20 y por vino. Todos los estándares, como pasta, panqueques, pizza y un poco de carne, pescado y mariscos, o puede elegir algo de la tabla de especialidades. Tenía las albóndigas para empezar, que eran muy sabrosas, pero obviamente salían del microondas y me quemé los dedos del plato. Tuve que sentarme con mi mano en una bolsa de hielo toda la noche! Los platos principales fueron la lubina entera, que estaba muy bien presentado pero bastante sin sabor. Mi compañero tenía la lasaña que fue una papilla decepcionante. En general, bastante normal, pero una noche barata.

Llegamos a casa de vacaciones el lunes a la hora del té y decidimos comer fuera en lugar de tener que cocinar. La mayoría de los restaurantes cierran los lunes, pero encontramos que Kito está abierto y reservamos una mesa para las 7 pm. El restaurante ofrece ofertas especiales para madrugadores que acabamos de perder. A juzgar por las excelentes críticas que recibe normalmente Kito, me pregunto si acabamos de verlo en una mala noche. Pedimos un J 2 O pero se acabaron. Pedimos un café, pero la máquina se había descompuesto y solo podían ofrecerla al instante. Mi panqueque vegetariano era muy indiferente y, aunque no me gustan las verduras recocidas, los pimientos estaban crudos. El calzone de mi esposo era bastante normal, pero mi madre disfrutó su plato principal de pollo

This small, quaint but friendly restaurant never fails. Stood in between a fantastic butchers and fishmongers. The quality is always fresh and amazing. It’s bring your own wine. I find it one of the best

Lovely friendly service and fantastic food. We went as a party of 22. All our meals were presented well and were cooked to perfection. I had set menu which includes the Specials and chose the Lamb Shank. It fell of the bone and melted in your mouth and the homemade Cheesecake is delicious

I came in last night with my girlfriend and her family (table of 6) for her birthday.

I was looking forward to my birthday meal out with family on the Saturday night. I did plenty of research beforehand on where to eat, and Kitos seemed to be a good pick. Leaving feeling let down is an under statement.

Came with friends and thoroughly enjoyed it service and food fantastic I had the chicken dish off the specials board in pesto sauce with a beautiful fresh salad every mouthful delicious, infact everyone cleared their plates which says to me it is good. Will definitely come again.

very nice food and service , the meals come out very quickly , check out the special board , real bargain on it ! set menu is just £ 20 for 3 courses and BYOW is a plus . some of my friends had the early bird menu ( cheaper ) 3 course for £ 15 but as nice ! i will not wait that long be4 i come back . thanks to all the staff for a great night .

What a brilliant evening staff made us feel welcome and checked right through the evening that we were happy and did we need anything . We all choose to have the three course set menu at £20.00 which is great value pleanty of choice on each course which arrived at our table piping hot and all together.The meals were lovely good portions and tasty, the presentation and taste of the desserts were gorgeous.All the above plus entertained by Saluto a (swing duet) very good and sang at a level that we could still chat . We will be back in the near future

I have been eating at Kitos for years and have always found it to be a welcoming place. The staff are always friendly and the food is the best Italian I have eaten anywhere in Sheffield. The set menu is always a good bet at £20 for three courses, and the specials board is updated regularly.

Have been here numerous times with our children and it never fails to delight. The food is PERFECT could not imagine anything bettering Kitos. A very helpful friendly lady served us and made us feel at ease, Can't wait to return soon.

10 of us visited here for my mum's 60th birthday & I must say I was very disappointed. We have visited here as a family for many years, this always being our place to go for birthdays / special occasions.

Visited for my little boys birthday with my parents. Excellent value very tasty food. Its a Little rustic but Really felt like an authentic resteraunt. One criticism is that that the chairs are really uncomfortable but the food is great the service is great. Bring your own wine made it very good value too.
