After our second visit to the Wandering Bear we headed across the road to the Westgate Arcade and this bright modern bar that serves a selection of excellent real ale. I went for Brother Rabbit from Thornbrige. A lovely golden ale. Can sit outside in the covered arcade. Well worth a visit. Back with Madge in 2025. CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2025. Had a West Coast Pale. Lots of space inside and out. ( in the covered arcade.)

Best outside space in town when we eventually get sun. Top staff, top beer.

Wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen. Danny Kaye sang an ode to this place back in 1953. I slurred my own version yesterday having been bowled over by the place. I think passers by enjoyed it ..And I made 74p in loose change, cheers!

Fantastic selection of beers available, both on tap and hand pulled. Plenty of seating available inside and under cover outside. With new extention including disabled access, this place just gets better and better.

Absolutely amazing pub with a fantastic range of beers, knowledgeable and friendly staff and very laid back indeed , simply put a cask beer lovers dream. Without doubt one of the best pubs in Yorkshire.

My favourite place for a pint of schofferhofer in summer. Fantastic drink selection and ample indoor and outdoor seating (in the arcade). The staff are knowledgeable and friendly 😊

Nice bitter "Gumption" from Wishbone Brewery Keighley

We popped in for a drink after a hike. This place was absolutely buzzing. There were thing happening all over Halifax, from the peace garden to the streets on the way up the market. The bar had plenty of space for us all, the staff were really good and it just felt really welcoming.

03/08/24: lovely trip back to Halifax! 22/08/23: back again. Sadly the big beer board has gone so couldn't really see what they had on tap. I hope it makes a return! 04/06/23: first time here! Loved it!

Kobenhavn is great, but not a patch on its sister bar, the Victorian craft beer cafe!

Travelled from Manchester to come here for their sour beer festival line-up. It did not disappoint, brilliant place, plenty of room outside and inside and the beers were all amazing. Will definetly be coming back !

Visited before a gig at The Piece Hall. Really great selection of beers. Really nice vibe inside inside a pretty cool arcade full of independent businesses. Would definitely go back.

Expensive, and serving bland, yellow beer, suitable for lager drinkers. Poor child .

Sort out the toilet situation! This place has expanded and yet reduced the number of toilets from 3 to 2. Single unisex toilets, no urinals. Absolutely negligible for a business with an increased footprint not to offer adequate facilities for the number of clientele. Great concept, great beer selection and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Stop letting yourselves down.

What a fantastic, minimalist Scandi-bar where only Cask Pumps take pride of place on the bar. Mind you there’s another 24 craft lines on the back wall so there should be something for everyone. A beer ✔️ paradise. Deservedly in the 2024 Good Beer Guidebook.

If you want to chill out with a beer on a Sunday afternoon, come here. The only disappointment is the woeful beer board tucked away in the corner, hard to see, short on information, and out of date. However a second visit revealed a printed menu of their 30 on tap beers. Look out for one of those for sure.

Another great draft/craft beer house in Halifax, with a huge selection on offer. Detailed clip boards showing the available drinks, which include the breweries and strengh. A tad more expensive than the Victorian Craft Beer Pub just around the corner, but always worth a visit. Cheers

Busy.very. consent in the Piece Hall helped midweek sales. Poor toilets.

Would rate this at 3.5. Place was very busy, however, staff were efficient and not much of a wait time for the large selection of drinks on offer. Outside drinking area was very busy.Didn't eat. Would visit again.

Just had drinks not food. Lovely place to go to relax. Atmosphere is good and with having the glass roof it is comfortable if weather is uncertain. During Summer months there was musicians there and.people joined in sing alongside.

Not your usual bar. Whilst I stuck to g and t my friend tried the most expensive and alcoholic beers on the menu. Would I go again? Definitely but would still probably stay on g and ts.

We were out on Rememberance Sunday and heading in to town. My Brother said let's go in here. There were 6 of us. There was a good selection of Beers and a couple of stouts too. Nice atmosphere with the Lads and their Banter. Staff were very helpful, friendly and new their Ales.

In Halifax for the day , went by the " köbenhavn " with my Danish Wife, looking forward to a nice pint of Danish Beer we went in and had a look at the Beer Menu ! Not a Scandinavian Beer on offer , not even a basic Calsberg or Tuborg.please change the name. !.Mis- selling

This place seems to have lost its spark? The staff let it down and the limited choice. This was previously never the case. Shame.

Good bar. Nice selection of very nice beers. Downstairs if you can get seated is very nice and atmospheric. If there are no seats and you have to go upstairs it's okay but less of an atmosphere

One of the best places in Halifax, great selection.

beer is ok but expensive .....however the gents toilets were disgusting and there wasnt any loo paper -tried the disabled and they were the same -unacceptable -i can't believe this is run by the same people as the Victorian beer cafe......and why should customers have to report the state of the toilets to the staff

Went to the bar for a drink before going to the Victoria Theatre. A Pint of bitter numerous choices and 175 glass wine. Was £8.70. A wide range of drinks need to go back and try some more.

A bit futuristic in design and not really to my taste, but it's the beer that matters and that was spot on.

Atmosphere was great and if you go on a weekend there's entertainment outside for you to listen to and enjoy
