Very quiet in restaurant... last covers before closing. 8 people all pre ordered. Food was excellent across all 3 courses. Service very good. Recommend and will revisit.

If looking for The authentic Hyderabadi dum biryani taste in Leeds, then look no further than this place. Tried chicken biryani and it was spot on original taste of Hyderabad. Service is good and Faheem bhai is very helpful. Please note it is mainly a takeaway joint and might not be fully suitable as family dining set up.

So this is a really nice little place. The service was really good and once it filled up, had a good atmosphere. Would I ever eat here again? Definitely not. The potatas bravas were barely cooked and the meatballs were just awful, and I could have done better at home. Maybe the normal menu items are better, because the food reviews seem to be good?! Maybe it was a bad day for the chef

I’m not one to give bad reviews, if you check my profile anyways, but this really rubbed me the wrong way. I went here about a week ago and my partner order a coconut rum and coke. I got given a rum and coke instead, took a sip and realised it was the wrong stuff so my boyfriend went back up to the bar for it to be fixed. In a really rude tone, a guy around our age 20-21 said that that’s what we ordered so that’s what we got and refused to change it. No one ever orders just a rum and coke, there’s literally so many times. Okay fair enough. My boyfriend goes BACK to the bar and orders a coconut rum and coke, I was behind him, so I heard it. and whoever served him repeated back “rum and coke?” No. He repeated back saying “coconut rum” and eventually got the right drink. The second interaction clearly proves that the staff simply don’t listen

A great country pub in a beautiful village. Good choice of beers, well kept, and food is delicious.

From the moment we entered the bar we were greeted by friendly smiling staff faces. Food was exceptional along with the service. What a recommendation we had been given!

We were a group of 9 visiting the area from down south over the Easter weekend. We ordered a selection of food from the menu, including the filled Yorkshire Pudding, Chicken & Mushroom Pie, Steak Pie, and Chicken Tikka. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were large, in fact several of our party were unable to finish their meals! Honestly the best Chicken & Mushroom pie I've ever had and I also helped my adult Son with his Yorkshire Pudding which was filled with the most tender braising steak (other fillings were available). And all at amazing prices (half the price of what we're used to down south). Hoping there's a need to visit the area again so we can return to the Boatman's Rest!

Awful food. Watery curry. Small container at £10. Starters hard raw onions in an onions barji even the chips were like cardboard.

This place has the best pint of real ale in Hull in my opinion. The theakstons is well kept and tastes delicious.

Lovely food and decor ...but a very grumpy head waiter took the edge off the evening.

The last time I was here it was a bank so very different now. We called on spec and were greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff whose wine recommendation was faultless. Our meals were lovely though we overdid the order by having starters as well as mains and couldn’t finish as the portions are so generous. We’ll bring friends next time to enjoy this splendid Italian food. Another plus is accessible parking rather than going into York and paying such high charges.

superb lunch including fabulous tuna carpaccio and monkfish - the deserts also were superb with a fine wine list - wonderful atmosphere with the owner present highly recommended

Always call here for food when we come to Leeds. The pomegranate guacamole is absolutely amazing. Have it every time!

Really great stop off the motorway if you want a seriously good breakfast in a sparklingly clean restaurant. Kind staff, dog was very much welcomed (in the section where we sat). Nice loo.
