Ordered for takeaway. The fried chicken felt a bit hard and not nice and fresh like it had been cooked, sat overnight and popped for a bit too long in the microwave before being delivered.
The cabbage was a bit too soft with close to no seasoning.
The Rice & Peas was overcooked and not flavoured well. Couldn't taste any of the classic R&P flavourings i.e. coconut, spices etc. Tasted like bland rice with those kidney beans.
So sad was really looking forward to my food. Giving 2* because the oxtail and mutton were decent. Will not order again unfortunately.
Hope you improve and wish you all the best in the future.
Visited with my husband yesterday on a bike ride. Lovely fresh toastie -good coffee and even better hot chocolate. Fruit cake was beautiful. Staff were really friendly.
Enjoyed my visit. I will definitely return.
1st visit. Went for a spot of lunch today after a recommendation and was not disappointed at all. Attentive owners; lovely food/drinks; good prices.
We will definitely go back soon.
We visited for the first time a couple of days ago. The staff were friendly, We had sandwiches and cakes which were lovely.
I saw some of the meals and they looked very nice, especially the ham and eggs. I would highly recommend the milkshakes, too.

We came here before a gig, originally wanting to go to another restaurant nearby, which ended up being closed for a function. Luckily we stumbled across Beluga and we weren't disappointed. Staff were very friendly and food was hearty and flavoursome. Lovely restaurant environment. We will definitely pop back in future.

Myself and 3 colleagues were staying locally whilst attending some training, we stumbled across this cafe on our first day and went back every day after! The coffee is the best I have ever had! The friendly welcome and lovely staff make this place, I wish I lived locally as I would be there everyday for my morning coffee!
5 stars !
Simply superb food. We’ve been to India a few times and this is up there with some of the best places in New Delhi. The chef is a lovely guy and apparently used to be chef of Dishoom Covent Garden. If anyone doesn’t know Dishoom it’s kind of considered the ‘Bentley’ of curry houses.., but Vedaa is just as good. We are so pleased to have a mini Dishoom on our doorstep..!
Sorry to say our last visited. I'm disabled so gwt a bit flustered. The service was confused and rushed. So I ended up with food I didn't really want. Rather than a fuss I said I'd have the fish anyway. No big deal. The fish I however I found to be greasy. The table lay out I couldn't get my walker around easily. Overall a very disappointing visit. Good enough to eat but no not good enough to enjoy and certainly not go back.
All their pastry contains palm oil - cheap, odourless and tasteless used by mass produce companies to extend the life of their pastry at the cheapest cost both financially and at the expense of rain forests and all the animals and people who depend upon them. You can buy this muck at all the supermarkets at a fraction of the cost so don't waste your money.
Last visited Oct 2017 service and food was excellent as ever. However booked a table online for tonight at 6.30 when we arrived at the restaurant wasn't even open.
Bien si no te importa esperar 90 minutos para una entrega. Los horarios de comer solo necesitan actualizarse. Llamé para comprobar y fue culpado de tráfico - 8 pm en un martes por la noche!
Booked a table arrived on time , there were 3 other diners waiting to be seen to , infront of us. Waited ten mins before anyone came to us. The guys infront were pointed to a table and off they went. She asked our name, stared at the screen , asked again stared at the screen , “oh we don’t have a booking in that name” how many is it for ? What’s the name ? More staring at screen “oh found you “ pointed at a table. We got to the table there was a woman standing at it saying she was waiting for a ramp for her disabled son to get him up the steps. Found another member of staff, back to the iPad “ what’s the name? 3 times oh I carnt find a booking in that name ? Original staff member came over “I have found a table for you !!! 20 minutes of this. In the meantime we watched the lady and her friend struggle with the guy in the wheelchair up the ramp . Staff stood and watched ? Our table was on ground level at the back why could they have not given the lady with the wheelchair that one we could have walked up 3 steps
Seated we ordered drinks on the app while looking at the menu, ordered the meal via the app sat talking 20 minutes before the drinks arrived 3 mins before the food. I had the steak and chicken strips fondue, my friends had the mixed grill food was nice apart from the sausages being hard ? And my fondue bit the cottage loaf they put the cheese sauce in was freezing cold. No good putting a hot dipping sauce in a cold loaf and the loaf wasn’t hollowed out enough so you only get a thin layer of now cold cheese sauce. That needs sorting , great idea badly executed.
Also 2 out of the 3 meals arrived then a ten min wait for the third. Strangely another mixed grill . My friend finished their meal before me no sooner had they placed their knife and forks down a member of staff leaned over me to remove their plates, I was still eating RUDE !!! At least wait till everyone had finished. I don’t expect a 5* dining experience in a pub I do expect the waiting staff to have manners . A member of staff walked over halfway through banged a wine advertisement card on the table asked if the meal was ok but before we could answer turned her back and was off. Like a hit and run, we would normally order a few more drinks after the meal but decided we had had enough and left. A member of staff did say “ thank you have a nice night as we were leaving” we though we will now we are leaving. Macdonalds has better service than this place. Note to management !! Back and front of house need to gel to make it a good experience for paying customers. And that starts with good communication and training. Would not take much to make this pub an enjoyable place to visit,
