Glad to see that this café has now re-opened. The lady in charge is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I had a really nice Chicken Tikka sandwich with a mint sauce, side salad and crisps whilst the two ladies that I was with had toast and jam and a tea cake with jam and both were very impressed. This café isn’t like some others where you get the merest scrape of butter; these were properly buttered and with a small jar of nice strawberry jab. The two coffees and one tea were also excellent. Nice comfortable chairs too. I would strongly recommend this café to anyone visiting the Crematorium.

We gave this place a try, as it was recommended by our campsite owner. Top notch breakfast, value for money, and friendly also easy parking nearby.😁👍

Overall lack of direction in the restaurant, you walk in and there’s no one to greet you nor a sign to say “wait to be seated” After finding a member of staff I was then told to go sit wherever I like, but she didn’t tell us whether it was table service or not so again no idea what to do when seated. After heading to the bar to figure out wether it’s table service or not, im greeted by two young men with there heads down glued to there phones, when asking them what the crack was with ordering food they both looked like they didn’t even know what day it was. After the awkward encounter with the bar staff I then walked to the other side of the restaurant to order food. The mixed platter for two was £60 and comes with no sides other than some coleslaw and a few pickles which I thought was extremely over priced compared to other smoke house platters at places like hickory’s that come with pit beans, fries, coleslaw, pickles, corn bread, gravy ect. When the food arrived the pit beans was basically a huge pot of watery gravy with barely any beans in and any meat it was essentially a watery soup with a bit of meat thrown in didn’t resemble pit beans in the slightest. The burnt ends from the platter was missing, so the platter was ribs, brisket, sausage and pulled pork for £60, no one asked if we wanted any sauces or come and asked how our meal was, overall service was very bad including the waitress and the bar staff. And to top the whole experience off they give you Wooden disposable cutlery to eat meat with? Bad experience definitely wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Came with friends for afternoon tea and had a great time. Lovely ambiance in the room with the table cloths, tea pots and the fact that nothing matches makes it quaint. You can only choose 1 sandwich type each, so as there were 5 of us we all chose different fillings and then we had a choice. Scones were lovely with jam and cream and we had 2 each followed by a piece of cake- again just one cake each but it was a massive slice and we all needed to take ours home as we couldn't manage to eat it! Beware that if you ask for a top up of the tea/ coffee you are charged extra. We had a discount flyer but after using it , it appeared that we were all charged individually for our afternoon tea and the discount price for 2 people wasn't applied making the voucher pointless but we'd had a nice time so didnt question it. Would I return- yes I would.

Hands down the worst pub I’ve ever stepped foot in, picture the scene it’s Christmas Eve 7pm and you walk in only to be hit with a string Odour of what I can only describe as urinal/toilet smell... no music.. no atmosphere just wanted to get out as quickly as I’d walked in... in fact that’s what I did. GOT OUT!

Really lovely proper fish & chips, with superb very friendly and fast service , situated next to the Birmingham freshfish market so the fish is very tasty. If you like proper fish shop chips and not the very dry triple cooked, frozen or battered types we are all served now in pubs and restaurants you will demolish them like we did ! PS Handy for the German market (open now tilll Xmas) just up the road.

We tried out Barajee for a takeaway and a change to our local place, a little bit pricier than our usual place but well worth it. We had a family takeout and I ordered the Gost Roshoni and it was delicious, the freshness of the spices and ingredients, I would highly recommend, delicious.

Never having been at this pub, I had an open mind. We were greeted by a genial host who served our drinks at the bar. Then we moved into the dining room and when I saw the massive beef and equally huge turkey roasts, I knew this was a wise choice. Served by the generous lady of the house, it was accompanied by roast potatoes, mixed veg, cauliflower and a good selection of gravy and delectable sauces. Everything was cooked to perfection. This was ounded off by a choice of deserts. What a pleasure to enjoy your fine food! Thank You, I will definitely return!
