The café is small so probably best to book for a delicious Sunday lunch. This is home cooked by Rachel . It is lovely experience.

Great to find this little cafe open for breakfast on a Sunday morning, when we were in Gnosall for a cat show. Food was simple but tasty, owner was friendly and would probably have cooked us just about anything we wanted. Rather strange place - 'vintage' decor which looked as though someone had cleared out a junk shop, very crowded with stuff, not really warm enough but she apologised for that. Definitely qualifies as quirky, but we rather liked it, and will definitely go back if we're in the area.

You will never be disappoinged if you book a Sunday lunch at Retro Greens . I call it Rachel's cafe as Rachel is welcoming, helpful and is such a good cook too. I had lamb shank which was so tender if fell off the bone. Plenty of veg, roasties and home - made yorkshire puddings. While we were eating this Rachel made bread and butter pudding. It was delicious. I shall go again and again and again!

Visited Green’s today for brunch and it was lovely , fresh and tasty. Lots of variety of homemade and fresh cooked food available. Prices are very good too. Doesn’t open on a Mon & Weds. Decor is fabulous if you like vintage and retro quirkiness, and we love it. 😍Cross between tearoom and cafe. Lady owner / manager is very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Food was hot , filling and available to take out aswell as eat in. I had the homemade leek & potato soup with fresh bread - spot on 😍. Plenty of options that can be made vegan & veggie. Being vegan i could have chosen jacket spud with beans, mushrooms, avocado & salad. There was also veg curry or breakfast items like Poveys oatcakes , toasties etc. Will deffo be back 👍🏻😊😊

Called in today as I really fancied Rachel's tasty oatcakes. I had fillings of bacon, mushrooms and cheese with a delicious crisp side salad. The food is consistently good, enjoyed in a friendly atmosphere, where you can chat to not only Rachel but the other customers. I would highly recommend this cafe for anyone who eats alone, as when you go, you not only enjoy delightful food but invariably make new friends.A gem of an eaterie!!!😃

Absolutely gorgeous afternoon tea served up with a smile by the owner. Stuffed to busting when we left. Delicious sandwiches, cakes and a bosting brew. I cannot understand why, when most reasonable people have given a positive rating of 4/5, why have a couple of negative trolls given 1 and a trashy illiterate review. Shame on them for trying to sabotage the efforts of a hard working young woman who works very hard to please her punters. No bad vibes here, only good food, good banter. I look forward to visiting again.

The cafe was disappointing. The tea stewed the scones dry and hard, raw flour was still visible. No I cannot recommend it to anyone. Of course taste varies. My last review was discounted so I hope this helps fellow visitors to take care.Surroundings smelt of mould you see. But I hope this helps if you are of poor health.

Cannot say the shop has any appeal, the manageress seems nice?but I felt bad vibes too. Place was crying, contents screamed , my sixth sense felt that not all was right. Food was overpriced and literally sucks!, She obviously cannot cook. I would not recommend it,.

Delicious home cooked Sunday lunch just like my Mum used to cook! Plenty of veg with tender meat, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Rachel very friendly and eager to please . It is best to pre-order a Sunday meal. I shall be going very regularly - price very reasonable - home made puddings there to tempt you

We went here twice this weekend once for tea and cake and again for Sunday lunch The place is a strangely comfortable mix of retro shop and tea shop/cafe that is obviously a hub for the local village. As newcomers we were made most welcome by all and treated to limitless tea, amazing home baked scones and thick cut gammon sandwiches on our first visit and a home cooked roast dinner on our second visit that really felt like it had been cooked especially for us. The highlight for me were proper roast potatoes in a world were pubs all serve deep fried imitations. The atmosphere of calm and warmth was perfect and we left both times feeling stuffed with good things both for the soul and the stomach

I simply love Retro Greens. Today I had the Boatman's breakfast and it was delicious. Rachel the owner is warm, friendly and interesting and nothing is too much trouble. This place is a one off and oozes charm and character. If you visit alone you can be sure of a natter with Rachel and other customers. It's not 5* or a Michelin Star restaurant - it's better than that for a variety of different reasons, and once you've visited you will want to return. I always feel 'all's right with the world' when I leave. Long may this business reign.

My husband & i came across Retro Greens today whilst having a drive around Gnosall heading to the canal. What an absolute little gem this tea room is ! Such a happy , friendly & accommodating owner - Rachael - and very friendly chatty locals. It was a joy to be part of this wonderful environment which is sadly so rare these days ! The food was homemade , local oatcakes & yummy cakes ! Great to browse the vintage goods too & i bought a flower jug . Thank you to Rachael & locals too who made us SO welcome. We live over near Lichfield & will be back for a Sunday roast very soon. Cheers Sue & Andy .

Needed a coffee before a walk down the canal. This is a 'quirky' cafe on the High Street. Loved it! Full of retro/30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's memorabilia and the Boss Lady/Manager/Owner is exceptionally helpful. Good coffee and breakfasts. An absolute must to visit.

Never visited a place quite like this, lots of retro and vintage items on sale and to peruse and also a lovely old fashioned home from home cafe. The hosts make you feel so welcome and serve tea, coffee etc as well as an all day breakfast menu and lunches, cakes etc. Just what gnosall needs and a real hidden gem. Will definitely be returning!!

We hadn't been to Gnosall before & decided to call in on the way back from a visit to Newport. We spotted the cafe as we drove up the high street and decided to pop in for some lunch. The hostess was a lovely woman and was very tentative. We had a pot of tea (a lovely generous pot) served in china cups, and we had an omelette each followed by a cherry & almond scone, served straight from the oven (these were yummy). The food was delicious and the service was brilliant. The cafe is full of antiquities, most of which can be purchased. It is like stepping back in time and it was lovely to experience something different. We would definitely return here as we enjoyed it so much. We also bought some fruit scones to take home with us, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

This is a cross between an antique shop selling 40's, 50's memorabilia and a coffee/ tea shop. Owner Rachel welcomed us and served lovely strong coffee and almond and cherry scone. We also tried the apple and cinnamon scone. All excellent. Another couple came in for breakfast. This was choose from a long list- a bespoke breakfast. Lovely place, we will add it to our regular places

I wanted to do something special for my parent's and so I organised an afternoon tea for them. Well I couldn't have asked for anything better and they were looked after tremendously, with fabulous food, atmosphere and 1st class customer service. Beautiful sandwiches, savouries, cakes, scones and plenty of tea and they thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. Highly recommended for anybody wanting to be pampered.

I didn't know they were planning to film the new ice age movie here Jokes aside, I could see my own breath when walking around the shop. The tomato soup was nice as well as the burrito however. Sad to say that 7 out of 10 tables were unacceptably unclean
