Visited here on a weekday lunchtime, there was only one other person in there, staff were attentive and helped me with the menu as I was unsure on what to eat. Food arrived promptly and was nice, if you are not keen on spice then have no spice as the sauces there are spicy even if you have mild. One thing I think need mentioning and needs taking in to consideration is that the staff need to be wearing gloves when preparing the food, as I watched the staff prepare the gyros and wraps for other people who walked in after us, then pick up their mobile phones and be on their phones then carry on making the food. Mobile phones carry approximately 25,127 bacterias per square inch, to be precise. This makes cell phones one of the dirtiest objects we come into contact with every day. And after picking up the phones continuing to make food, actually made me feel sick to be honest. It was also quite cold in here and it made it uncomfortable to sit and eat in the cold. Due to the above I wouldn’t eat here again.

From the moment you enter, you feel at ease and surrounded by friendly staff and delicious mouthwatering foods and drink. For this visit I sat with my friend in a lovely booth and I ordered the regular vegetable thali, every component had been lovingly put together and was as equally delicious as the next. I wouldn't hesitate in coming again and I have also enjoyed their take out and sweets available inside. Many thanks team, looking forward to my return 👍

My favourite pizza place and we are always made to feel welcome with our little one. Great atmosphere and always service with a smile. Pizzas are amazing, but whether you’re having breakfast or evening meal this is a solid choice for food in Newport.

We came for Sunday lunch on New Year’s Eve and had the beef sirloin and pork. Both dishes were delicious with a fab selection of roast veg and delicious homemade yorkshires. The staff are also fab, definitely worth a visit!

The satay chicken balls were okay, but none of the staff praised it for being so delicious and crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The second place couldn't praise it as much. The fresh tomato and pork chop rice is really delicious. . . . Even though the pork chop was thin, it was tasteless and had a strong pork sour taste. I vomited it out every time I ate it. Even my friends at the table couldn't stand it. The juice was originally from a can of watered-down canned tomato soup. What the heck? There is no taste, and there is no food in the dish.

The restaurant is beautifully designed and you can tell they pay attention to all details there. The food was exquisite and we especially enjoyed the selection of snacks and canapes. The white onion veloute was wonderful, as was the bread course. In terms of desserts, I preferred the forced rhubarb one. The madeleine was ok, but then again, there’s only so much you can do with one and upgrade it to nee heights. I would have finished on a stringer note with maybe a more exciting petit four, but that is just my opinion. The bill came to £400 for two people with wine. The bar staff deserve a special mention as they were excellent and able to create some pretty amazing cocktails.

Lovely meal. I had the vegetable samosa and the vegetable soya kadai which were both absolutely delicious. The menu is so varied and the service was very good. We will definitely be coming here again. Thanks

What a hidden little gem this place is the food is outstanding these know how to make a proper breakfast, very nice and good quality food very tasty, all the staff are always 100% happy and smiling a wonderful place to come and eat before you pop round the corner to do your shopping, this place is a must try.

This place was once an example of how to run a pretty country coffee shop…..until recently. Different , and unfriendly, staff now serving indifferent coffee without a smile or any skill. Warm bread served as ‘toast’. Not asked if I preferred white or whole meal. Coffee order mixed up 3 times (for one Cappuccino), no offer of sugar. Just not good enough and now relying on a pretty location to compensate for Transport Café service levels. Do better!

Our lunch was really good value for money. I'm amazed that they've been able to keep their prices down without sacrificing quality. I only wish I'd had room for cake to go with the excellent coffee. We'll definitely be back.

I have used this chip shop on many occasions and generally found the food to be above average, but tonight I was very disappointed in the quality of my meal. I ordered for collection using their web site for 20.05, the shop closes at 20.15, but that should not mean that the food quality is compromised. I ordered cod for myself, but the fish was not freshly cooked, it had the look and consistency of being sitting in the heated display unit for a long time. The batter on the fish was dried and hard and the fish was tasteless and rubbery. The chips and my wife's pie were passable, but not of the usual quality. If there is not enough time to cook an item of food to an acceptable standard then it should be taken off the menu and substandard food not passed on to the customer.
