You can sit outside and enjoy a decent sandwich in the sun while watching the world walk past. Conveniently not on a busy road

I've taken my granddaughter (6) here on a few occasions. Always friendly and good service. She loves the hot chocolate with marshmallows and the cream and jam scones!

Stopped for lunch with big sis on a Saturday. We both had toasties - i had ham and cheese and sis had the brie and cranberry. Super fresh bread and quality fillings, ham was really nice and proper ham - comes with side salad and a few crips. Pot of tea to share and even has Pickles the dog on tea pot. Very traditional old fashioned tea shop inside and very quaint. Selection of fab cakes and cream scones. Staff are so friendly. Has a nice outside seating area but we like to sit upstairs.

We stopped off for a break while looking around the town. The staff in the café were super-friendly and helpful. The food and drinks - a mixture of teas, coffee, hot chocolate, sandwiches, toasties, cakes and stew - were superb. I'd highly recommend this café.

Stopped off for coffee and the children had delicious sandwiches and Welsh rarebit. I felt cheated because I wasn't hungry so I removed myself from the lovely outside seating area to the little gem of a gift shop inside. Such a vast display of greeting cards, gift bags etc and the smell of Bath bombs wafting around is lovely. Some really unusual gifts, candles, handbags, scarves, jewellery and pottery to name but a few. What a lovely interesting shop this is and the lady who served us was delightful. It was so busy which is good to see.

Great tea shop with fab cakes - fresh sandwiches and home made soup. Proper tea pots for tea for two. Has an outside too if you have a dog with you.

I visited the tearoom the other morning and I was welcomed by lovely friendly staff. It was pouring down outside and it was nice to seek shelter in this cosy tearoom. I ordered a latte and a teacake. The coffee is fantastic, a lovely latte, Thank you! My teacake was fresh and toasted just how I like it. The tearoom has tables nicely spaced out and you are served by friendly staff. I love the “vintage” feel of the place and the “chintz” China that the drinks and food are served on. They had background music, playing quietly and in keeping with the “vintage” feel, which was really nice! A bit of Jazz and Doris Day I think! It’s so nice to go somewhere where the music isn’t blaring out! I have also had lunch here and the cheese on toast and warm scones are lovely ! I would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

The server seems to be spatially unaware. Sat for 30 mins, not being served but two tables to the side of me, who came after me, were served before me. I left at that point. Shoddy service and therefore can’t comment on the quality of food because they seemed unwilling to serve me.

Stoped for a ckae and cuppa. This place is so sweet - quirky decor and seating - situated on the first floor above the card and gift shop. All very clean. Love the tea pot with "Pickes" the dog on them. Big sis and I had a pot of tea to share and both had the homemade scone with butter, cream and jam. Tasted delish. Scone homemade and tasted fab - add cream and jam and perfection. Service always with a smile. Did not have sandwich on this occasion but well worth a try - great slecetion and home made soups too.

We spent a rainy few hours in Oswestry and stumbled across what we can only describe as a rare find. From the minute we walked through the door into the card shop we received a lovely warm welcome. We then wandered upstairs to the cafe and received yet again a friendly and warm welcome. The food was freshly prepared , well presented , delicious and just what we wanted! Plus exceptional value for money . A great family business run by absolutely lovely people . We will be back! Thank you so very much! We will certainly be visiting again . Thank you! Ate at Pickles in May again for lunch with my big sis.On of our favourite stops for lunch when in the area, as it is what I would call a proper tea shop - tea served in pots with Pickles the dog on - fabulous selection of teas, cakes and sandwiches - along with home made soups. All fresh and made to order and bread locally made too - I had tuna may sandwich and sis had prawn sandwich - served with a small fresh salad and crisps.Service is very friendly and tea shops clean.Queky decor and seating - shop down stairs you have to walk through to get to tea shop upstairs.

2 entrances, rather poky, my wife was unsure where to go. Up the stairs. Old fashioned, uninspiring looks and furniture. A basic kitchen. Wonderful service and attention to detail. Truly the very best hot chocolate I have ever had. My tacos and chicken wrap with salad was very good. My wife’s lactose free meal was checked and was good. So difficult to find in cafes etc on the internet. Not easy to find on site. We were tempted to return for breakfast, and will return.

Called for coffee and a scone. Menu is limited to sandwiches and cakes etc and I asked for a flat white coffee which confused the waitress. However, when I described it, she offered to try and concoct one for me which she did reasonably successfully. The scone was very fresh and delicious. Good place for a drink and snack with excellent friendly service

This is a quaint coffee shop that sells lovely food, of which there is plenty of choice. It is clean and the staff are really helpful. The only minus mark is accessibility, which they are unable to do anything about really, wheelchair users, pram and infirm people are not able to access the room.

we went to this place to have breakfast this morning 15th June 2017, very pleasantly surprised, not the place if you are looking for a bull english breakfast, but wow what an alternative. we all had the bacon, egg and cheese on a muffin with salad garnish. It was wonderful, it is also served all day, the staff were more than helpful and eager to please, i will go back again as they had a really good lunch menu as well and also had a specials board as well. It is above a shop of the same name with sells gifts for all. I had a scone and a cup of tea from this place a few weeks back and commented that it was in fact the best one i have had, i was informed that one of the staff had made it themselves so yes very happy with this place, well done to all the staff

Honestly the best pub meal I've had in years! The steak and Guinness pie was delicious and chips better than many chippies. How they do that with bargain prices baffles me. Highly recommend

Went for the first secret diner club evening that is run by Jess who owns the fab 'not today seitan' in liar liar..what can i say?.the food was on another level. Litrally the best vegan food in Oswestry and way surpasses anything else available in a vegan cafe in Oswestry. The food was beautifully presented, the flavours were amazing and the cocktails were beautiful too. Really hope the owner decides to run these evenings on a regular basis although once word gets around i imagine getting a table will be really difficult. Its great to see a vibrant young business do so well and honestly the co trading with Liar liar is such a brilliant idea. Two amazing businesses running side by side. I cannot recommend this highly enough, the best vegan resturant/cafe in town by far
