Happy staff and owner make this a great coffee house. Plus lovely GF DF cakes.

Had a coffee and an iced tea and both were exceptional. Great space and gender neutral toilets downstairs.

Staff are friendly, helpful and the atmosphere is calming and relaxing.

This is by far the noisiest coffee shop I've ever been to. The staff responsible for washing and stacking the crockery do so with no consideration for customers nearby. The cakes are overpriced but this café isn't alone in overcharging for indifferent cakes. All in all a very poor experience that we were only to keen to leave as soon as possible.

I discovered this place on my first-ever visit to Shrewsbury 8 years ago. It's been my favourite coffee stop since moving here subsequently, and was possibly an important factor in my decision to move here from Brighton. Why ? - The best coffee in town - and they remember your preference; - Welcoming, friendly & efficient staff and owner; - Great atmosphere with lots of local regulars of all ages & communities, and also people passing to & from the Rail station, just 30 metres away; -The decor; low-key 'Industrial chic' with a mix of repurposed metal fittings and bistro-type furniture and comfortably-upholstered bench seating ; -The bonus of frequently-changing exhibitions of high-quality local artists' works. I'd say : enjoy your coffee/tea/whatever, and look up and look and around to get the full flavour of this special place !

The shop was cosy in great location. I ordered a cup of chocolate the taste was nice. Service staff were very friendly. Recommended for anyone seeking for comfort place to grab a drink and chill.

We had just arrived by train and this was the first coffee shop we came across walking towards the town. It seemed popular with locals and there was a nice friendly atmosphere. Two flat whites cost £6.60. The coffee was very good and the staff were very pleasant.

Really nice coffee and chill vibes: just outside the busyness of town so really relaxed- had a delicious blueberry cheesecake muffin and the coffee wasn’t half bad either!

So I asked for a sandwich. The girl with multi coloured hair was in charge. Was so disgusting to see her eating as she was making it. Full refund was given ( Never again, ) So over charged also

First time I've visited this coffee shop and thought I'd give it a try as looks busy all the time but prices were shocking and so were sizes of drinks? Coffee tasted disgusting won't be returning there's chain coffee shops for a reason as no independent comes close

Excellent place to pop into before you catch a train or when shopping. I can recommend the crispy bacon and avocado bagel.

Don't bother eating here my open sandwich wouldn't have fed a 2 year old. £8 for a slice of toast smaller than your palm 2 slices tomato 6 salad leaves and one slice of Supermarket prepacked beef. Absolutely bobbins well and truly shafted i was !!!!. plus took them 25 mins to make and it wasn't that busy 13/4/24

Quaint coffee and cake venue. Two floors so plenty of space. Plenty of choice of tea, coffee and similar drinks as well as local made cakes. Clean, tidy with friendly staff.

We stopped here on a long drive up from South Wales. Super knowledgeable about allergens and lovely staff. My partner is gluten free due to colitis which is a preference rather than intolerance. Staff accommodated this well. Food was gorgeous. Tea and coffee was very nice.

Popped in for breakfast asa my wife wanted granola. I had a bacon sandwich. I would have liked sausage but they don't do them. The sandwich was average as it seemed like the bacon was microwaved or re-heated. The service was excellent though.

A lovely spot close to the station. Very popular as a meeting place. There is a lower floor with more seating, also where the loos are located which is unfortunate if you have mobility issues. Some foods sound great but fall slightly short on delivery.

Tried this place a few times over the years with mixed experiences. This time coffee was very sweet? Never experienced this anywhere before. Will try somewhere different next time I'm in Shrewsbury.

It's such a shame. We've always been regular visitors to this lovely place. I've never had any issues with customer service but today they seem to have new staff that are just downright rude. We had a miscommunication with our order and we were met with an attitude of tough that's what you ordered. It was dealt with afterwards but Staff were still hostile. Staff seem like they don't want to be there and seem abrupt and unapproachable. Having been a manager in another independent coffee shop in Shrewsbury it upsets me to think customers are being responded to in that way. I would never have allowed it in my shop.

AMAZING coffee served at this cute, relaxed coffee shop.. The caramel iced lattes are delicious, highly recommended by myself and several friends I have taken here! Good selection of drinks, food and snacks. Always served with a smile by friendly staff, cute decor, good background music, reasonably priced, with lots of cosy seating downstairs too. Also a great place to grab a drink while waiting for the train and do some people watching from the window bar seats 😁

One of my favourite coffee shops. The coffee is fab and it's the perfect place to hang out and meet friends. Particularly, if you're waiting for them to arrive on a train. Just a hop skip and a jump from the railway station.

This is always my go to coffee shop when I visit Shrewsbury. The staff are friendly, good coffee and a great ambience. Range of plant based milk offered.

Pleasant atmosphere but where other cafes (e.g. Attingham) charge 50p for a babyccino or even offer them for free with an adult drink (e.g. Furnace), the tiny babyccinos are £2 here. Sadly both of our flat whites (£3.20ea), whilst pretty, were really quite bitter. I suspect it was that the barista burnt the coffee rather than that it was a particularly bitter roast because it would be an unusual choice to use such a roast as your house blend. Would have asked them to remake them if we weren’t in a hurry.

I think it's nice enough to sit in and the coffee is nice. But the extra charge for alternative milks is a bit outdated (50p last I checked). There are plenty of places around which are less expensive as well But I like it overall The cakes are nice

Great little coffee house opposite the railway station. Good wholesome food and friendly staff. Coffee is some of the best I've tasted. Sensible prices make this a go to venue.

Great cakes and coffee, with dietary requirements well catered for. Love the decor, especially the art on the window. It does get noisy because of the lack of soft furnishings and sound barriers. Seats are comfortable.

Drove into Shrewsbury for some lunch. Came across the The Shrewsbury Coffeehouse as we walked into the town. We love an independent coffee shop, and the Shrewsbury did not disappoint. We both had Chai lattes and the Pastrami, Emmental and gherkin open sandwich. The coffee was lovely and the sandwiches were both delicious and tasty. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with the staff being friendly and helpful. When we’re in Shrewsbury again, we will definitely be making another visit.

We've become frequents of the Coffeehouse, because they deserve it! For a small outlet, everything will surpass your expectations. Great food, especially their deconstructed sandwiches and sausage rolls. I appreciate the daily free options!
