Don't bother eating here my open sandwich wouldn't have fed a 2 year old. £8 for a slice of toast smaller than your palm 2 slices tomato 6 salad leaves and one slice of Supermarket prepacked beef. Absolutely bobbins well and truly shafted i was !!!!. plus took them 25 mins to make and it wasn't that busy 13/4/24

I just didn't feel the love on this visit, probably not the fault of the coffee house but I didn't love the coffee or atmosphere on this visit. I will return again though 😊

We stopped here on a long drive up from South Wales. Super knowledgeable about allergens and lovely staff. My partner is gluten free due to colitis which is a preference rather than intolerance. Staff accommodated this well. Food was gorgeous. Tea and coffee was very nice.

Popped in for breakfast asa my wife wanted granola. I had a bacon sandwich. I would have liked sausage but they don't do them. The sandwich was average as it seemed like the bacon was microwaved or re-heated. The service was excellent though.

A lovely spot close to the station. Very popular as a meeting place. There is a lower floor with more seating, also where the loos are located which is unfortunate if you have mobility issues. Some foods sound great but fall slightly short on delivery.

Tried this place a few times over the years with mixed experiences. This time coffee was very sweet? Never experienced this anywhere before. Will try somewhere different next time I'm in Shrewsbury.

It's such a shame. We've always been regular visitors to this lovely place. I've never had any issues with customer service but today they seem to have new staff that are just downright rude. We had a miscommunication with our order and we were met with an attitude of tough that's what you ordered. It was dealt with afterwards but Staff were still hostile. Staff seem like they don't want to be there and seem abrupt and unapproachable. Having been a manager in another independent coffee shop in Shrewsbury it upsets me to think customers are being responded to in that way. I would never have allowed it in my shop.

I had an excellent Mocha here. The service was exceptionally friendly and polite.

AMAZING coffee served at this cute, relaxed coffee shop.. The caramel iced lattes are delicious, highly recommended by myself and several friends I have taken here! Good selection of drinks, food and snacks. Always served with a smile by friendly staff, cute decor, good background music, reasonably priced, with lots of cosy seating downstairs too. Also a great place to grab a drink while waiting for the train and do some people watching from the window bar seats 😁

One of my favourite coffee shops. The coffee is fab and it's the perfect place to hang out and meet friends. Particularly, if you're waiting for them to arrive on a train. Just a hop skip and a jump from the railway station.

This is a lovely place to have lunch, right near the railway station, friendly service, nice relaxed atmosphere, and lovely food.

This is always my go to coffee shop when I visit Shrewsbury. The staff are friendly, good coffee and a great ambience. Range of plant based milk offered.

Pleasant atmosphere but where other cafes (e.g. Attingham) charge 50p for a babyccino or even offer them for free with an adult drink (e.g. Furnace), the tiny babyccinos are £2 here. Sadly both of our flat whites (£3.20ea), whilst pretty, were really quite bitter. I suspect it was that the barista burnt the coffee rather than that it was a particularly bitter roast because it would be an unusual choice to use such a roast as your house blend. Would have asked them to remake them if we weren’t in a hurry.

Lovely staff, great coffee and 5he ever changing exhibitions keep me coming back. I think it's nice enough to sit in and the coffee is nice. But the extra charge for alternative milks is a bit outdated (50p last I checked). There are plenty of places around which are less expensive as well But I like it overall The cakes are nice

Great little coffee house opposite the railway station. Good wholesome food and friendly staff. Coffee is some of the best I've tasted. Sensible prices make this a go to venue.

Great cakes and coffee, with dietary requirements well catered for. Love the decor, especially the art on the window. It does get noisy because of the lack of soft furnishings and sound barriers. Seats are comfortable.

Very convenient for the railway station so a great first stop on any trip to the town. Very friendly atmosphere and staff.

Lovely coffee spot, will go back everytime I will be in Shrewsbury. The friendly staff completed a nice chilled ambience of a great place where you could spend a few hours easily.

Drove into Shrewsbury for some lunch. Came across the The Shrewsbury Coffeehouse as we walked into the town. We love an independent coffee shop, and the Shrewsbury did not disappoint. We both had Chai lattes and the Pastrami, Emmental and gherkin open sandwich. The coffee was lovely and the sandwiches were both delicious and tasty. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with the staff being friendly and helpful. When we’re in Shrewsbury again, we will definitely be making another visit.

We've become frequents of the Coffeehouse, because they deserve it! For a small outlet, everything will surpass your expectations. Great food, especially their deconstructed sandwiches and sausage rolls. I appreciate the daily free options!

Great coffee, great cake and a great place to kill 90 minutes whilst I waited for a delayed train. Happy to let me sit and work on their Wi-Fi and use their power too. 👏

I'm usually a fan of both the coffee and the food. The coffee was very good. The food was dreadful and we were charged far too much. An over spicy and over cooked sausage roll at £4.50. It wasn't edible. A thin, over toasted bagel with burnt, overcooked bacon and nice avocado at £7. I can say I have eaten both before at SCH and they were far better than what was put down in front of us! We won't go back.... Kid-friendliness It is not a kid-friendly place. Nothing on the menu but also you would mention a sausage roll is very spicy before you served it to a child!!

Very pleasant place. Coffee and muffins were lovely.

My wife loves this little place and I must agree. Chai latte is her favourite but the flat white coffee is really really nice. Bagels are good but a bit over priced. Staff are friendly and on the ball over all a nice experience.

After sitting down I realised how expensive my cappuccino & hot chocolate was. At no point was I asked what size drink & consequently charged the most expensive. I also had to have my coffee heated up as it was only luke warm. Sorry, but disappointed.

Really like this little cafe and it's do handy if you visit by rail its just across the road so as soon as we get off the train we nip in for coffee or coffee and cake before shopping. The cake initially looks a bit dull but mh my goodness it was beautiful.

Great coffee shop, dog friendly. Baked goods are delicious and the drinks come served to your table. Plenty of places to bring and settle your dog. Lots of fuss from the staff, with free doggy biscuits. Appreciated the staff asking permission before giving biscuits as some dogs can be on restrictive diets.

Me and my husband called in here for brunch yesterday and were really impressed. I had a salmon and cream cheese bagel and my husband had a bacon roll. The food was delicious! The staff were nice and friendly and there was a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend it.

Gorgeous and cosy, everything about this cafe was beautiful! The coconut hot chocolate was DELIGHTFUL and I couldn’t help but fall in love with the decor, service and beautiful autumnal window decorations!

Fantastic coffee. Pity about one member of staff who made so much noise collecting the cups and scraping the chairs across the floor that I ended up with a headache.

Located virtually opposite the station with a wide range of coffees and fantastic staff. A lovely informal place to meet friends. It would be even better if they introduced a greater selection of pastries but it is primarily a coffee house and they do exactly what it says on the tin.

Very good coffee (cappuccino with coconut milk was ace), really nice atmosphere and good food (vegan sausage roll was lovely). The downstairs area is a bit quieter and is a great place for an informal meeting. Would definitely recommend and would go back again.

The service was a little poor today. Not normal. Bit off hand. Maybe winding down after lunch? Happy to return though. Toilet floor was very wet.
