This Café is great for a chilled lunch in town. The service is quick and the staff are very friendly. The panini I had was of a high quality and tasted delicious, good value for money. And the desert selection is very impressive. Overall positive experience would want to come back here.

Worst customer service. The people working inside are so uninterested and kinda rude. Food was ok but really the experience with the staff. It's like they don't care. The owner should work on them and don't hire people who cannot even smile. Ridiculous

Popped in for lunch on the way back from Shrewsbury Abbey. My wife had a jacket potato (cooked in the oven, not microwaved) and I had a prawn sandwich. The jacket potato was pronounce tasty and my sandwich was overflowing with prawns and was lovely. Really good value (but they need to get the door catch repaired as the door kept opening letting in a draught).

A nice Cafe in the center of Shrewsbury, staff were very friendly and efficient. They have a pay forward scheme where you pay for food for people worse off than you (homeless or people struggling). Very important in these days with the cost of living crisis. A nice place I stumbled on, I would highly recommend a visit if in Shrewsbury. Nice food, great staff and helping the local community.

It's so rare that anywhere gets service and food perfect - poached eggs on toast and decaf tea might sound simple but getting it so right (thick brown buttered toast perfectly cooked eggs, warm plate) isn't something that often happens. Will definitely be back!

Wonderfully warm welcome from the staff. The place was clean and tidy. The Full English was excellent value for money Fresh produce. Would heartily recommend.

My mom treated me to here today when doing a bit of Xmas shopping. Loved it, great food and fast service today. They kept having people come in but no tables being free for them. Apparently my sister loved coming here when she was a college and now that she's moved away it will make her jealous that we have come here.

What a fabulous place. My sister and I drove from Coventry and were in need of a light lunch and cup of tea. The young lady who took our order was just wonderful, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We also left with two HUGE slices of cake in a box on which she had written the message, for two beautiful ladies. My sister may not go back as she lives in Australia, but I certainly hope I will. This cafe is a gem of a find

Walked in this cafe 6 lads working in Shrewsbury driving rain all day so all we wanted was some nice food, warmth and a hot drink We had a break in our day so decided to have a breakfast (inside which I heard three/four of my colleagues tell the rude pair of I’d call them “children” behind the counter First: nothings ready ……… ok how long until the food will be ready?? “Don’t know” Ok we ordered anyway like I say three or four lads stated sit down eat in I heard all the conversation as I ordered 6th and last So we waited being polite commenting how nice the cakes looked and the menu First the “young girl…… who ran in and out the cafe 6 times in 20 minutes delivering takeaways across the road and surrounding area bear in mind it was throwing it down with rain Came in……”wipe your feet when you come back in!!!! 2 lads went for cigarettes and closed the door behind them after again polite when it’s freezing outside She left it open 6/6 times We closed it for her 👍👍👍 Breakfast came in foil trays with wooden cutlery 5 of us received ours it was nice food to be honest but the 6th bloke who’s 56 years old and freezing cold they forgot his breakfast As we was eating the childish young girl came over and I was gobsmacked at this point Finish your food “you need to leave” Bear in mind we had all spent a total of £80/£100 on food in about 5 minutes and they had forgot my colleagues breakfast so his came and he literally ate his sausage of it before she was kicking us out then she has cheek to say…..got a problem about that I could not believe what I was hearing so I said yes I have….. you do not speak to people the way you have just spoken to us lot who have spent a lot of money, been polite and courteous towards you and you do not get spoken to like that where we’re from….(Derbyshire ) she then said “Bugger off back to where you came from” Then I wasn’t shocked absolutely disgusting behaviour and like I’ve stayed that’s the reason I’m calling her by the term of a child And not an adult

In Shrewsbury on our way back to Snowdonia, we stopped for a coffee and milkshake and we shared a slice of the carrot cake which was amazing! Service was excellent from the very friendly staff. Really lovely cafe and the cakes are incredible!

Had a breakfast which was more than filling. Very hot and freshly cooked. Service was good, the girls are friendly and helpful. Theres a selection of amazing cakes in the window, which we didn't try 🙂 Price for breakfast was a little higher than we are used to paying but for good food and a full tum it was worth it

Always get a chocolate milkshake from there (highly recommend) cozy atmosphere 100% recommend!

The food is amazing and plentiful. We had breakfast which was delivered fresh, hot and very very tasty. The whole order was made and presented so so well. This will be our go to breakfast cafe for the foreseeable 👌🏻 (We will try lunch, when in town, as I'm sure it will be the same high standards)

Spotted off here for lunch while in Shrewsbury. Service was fast and friendly, order taken and food arrived pretty quickly. The Wife’s eggs Benedict was declared good and my bacon sandwich went down a treat. We declined a cake although they look really good, especially the mahoosive chocolate and lemon ones that must have been nearly a foot thick !. They seemed very popular, but I’d need to be VERY hungry !. Great little cafe on a really nice shopping street.

I can’t speak highly enough of the staff here who took care of a guy who was obviously down on his luck by contacting the appropriate services. In addition, the food is great as was the service and I would definitely recommend this place to other people.

We had lunch here and it was good to find a cafe doing 'normal' cafe food in this town. Everything was good. Good amount of fillings in our paninis. Friendly and efficient staff and a pleasant atmosphere.

Cafe On The Cop recently created 2 birthday cakes for my mum. Wow and wow!! Holly could not have been more helpful or obliging. Mum was overwhelmed with her stunning celebration cakes. I recommend this cafe to everyone. Thank you Holly and your team.

A fantastic little cafe. If your Gluten free then u must visit. The breakfast was so good and they don't hold back on portion size. Cakes are massive. Staff are very friendly.

We went for the first time with a dog and requesting gluten free, neither was an issue. Had a lovely piping hot breakfast, plenty of food at a reasonable price,(couldn’t finish it all) great service and clean pleasant surroundings. Would definitely visit again if I was in the area. Thanks ladies.

I visit Café on the Cop weekly to buy breakfast sandwiches for my office team. And I recently ordered some cupcakes from them for a corporate event. I ordered 24 vanilla cupcakes filled with jam, with a colourful rainbow theme. Safe to say we weren't disappointed, the cupcakes were delish and went down very well with everyone. Wish we'd ordered more! Thank you to the lovely ladies at Café on the Cop, I will definitely order cakes from you again for our next event.

What a great find! Been to Shrewsbury a few times and enjoyed breakfast at various places but this is superb! Two lovely friendly ladies took our order, full English, cooked to perfection, amazing hash browns and beautiful bacon …. As if this weren’t enough we noticed the AMAZING cakes and I do not exaggerate, all made by one of the lovely ladies ,, they were truly magnificent, people were buying like crazy as we were eating. All together THE place for a breakfast and tea and cake, these ladies deserve to succeed big time.

Fantastic food made to orderso pipping hot, great service and best of all they offer a service called pay forward, meaning you can pay a little more and it goes to give someone in need a cuppa or piece of cake. Cakes are amazing too, large portions.

We went at the end of the day so quiet. 22 quid for a sandwich, panning and 2 drinks. Probably average for the area. Food was very nice, nice service. Just need to sort out the wobbly tables, otherwise top on ours slid too.

This is a lovely little cafe. The staff are really nice and friendly. The servings are very large, which is why they provide free boxes to take away your leftovers. The food is well cooked and delicious. We'll definitely go here again when we visit Shrewsbury!

This place is an absolute gem! The staff were so so lovely and we loved their pay forward concept! I am vegetarian and celiac and they were very accommodating and more than happy to advise me on their menu. Food and coffee was delicious. Some of the best hash browns ever! Definitely worth a visit.

We came for breakfast on a week day, it was ok, nothing special, with cheap supermarket bread, also service was a little bit indifferent to say the least.

Breakfast lovely, however , bitterly dissappointed with the visit, saw lots of cakes being ordered and the size, so ordered one but to takeaway, and bitterly dissappointed as it was literally half the size of the ones served right next to me, perhaps it's because they thought I wouldn't look until I left, left not happy

No Gluten Free only thing was a salad. Though posts on here say they do cakes etc. They only have one oven so cannot offer the option so very disappointed as other cafes in Shrewsbury do cater.

Visited the cafe recently and the people running it were absolutely lovely. I got the wedges and the chicken bites, both cooked to perfection. Absolutely lovely brownies!!!!

Such a lovely coffee shop, great food and service. You can also buy a hot drink or some food up front for a homeless person or a student. Which I thought was a nice touch.

Visited recently, sausages were undercooked and burnt. Never had sausages served crispy before, nor have they given me the runs. £5.50 for the privilege, at least it was served with a smi.... nope. Butter was also marge.

Small but perfectly formed, nicely presented interior with great service. We both had the cooked breakfast, very very good the best I've tasted in quite a while. Coffee also great. We put a breakfast 'in the pot' for someone in the future, a nice touch...

I'd like to be able to score more highly but our first experience wasn't the greatest. The breakfast was mostly fine but when it arrived the toast was on the unacceptable side of overdone. Some of the blackened bits where shiny which is properly burned. We asked the staff to replace them, which they did, but really it shouldn't have been brought out. We asked for a glass of tap water (we paid for other drinks) but it didn't arrive. Also the front door wouldn't close properly without a struggle which meant that most of the time we were in a draught and it was chilly outside. I'm sure that we were unlucky and on another day would have had a much better experience so perhaps we'll give them another chance.

First visit by chance attracted by cakes in the window. We shared a Jammy Dodger Blondie - yes really. It looked lethal but was so delicious and easy to scoff. Coffee was great too. A prominent display encouraged « giving forward » so we did add something...

We used to visit here fairly frequently and it was probably our favourite cafe in the town. We regularly struggled to get a seat in there in the past as it used to be so busy. It’s not like that any more and that’s understandable...
