Groupon treatment- i do understand this but the group on should mention this. We use group on to try restaurants & once we like the food & service, we return & recommend. This wasnt a good experience. Starters were served in smaller portions, the chicken momo was off & hard. Slow service & lack of drinks options. Worst the mains were same size as the starter played, served in starter plates. When we enquired we were blantly told this is due to group on portions, had we known we would have ordered an extra full portion. Our naan bread had hair in it, so we again lost apetite. When we wanted more naans we were told the kitchen was closed, without any warning. Not a good first impression & attitude. The groupon deal looks tempting but not worth. I hv told everyone i know to avoid this. Another sad point raised by another review below, behind the service counter was a huge pile of soiled dishes, saw this when i walked up to pay for excess naans.

I wasn’t expecting anything special at the price via Groupon so I was really impressed with quality of the food and there was more than enough food. The service was spot on with the young girl who served being friendly and helpful and the owner came and checked everything was good and again he was really friendly. The place was busy but service was prompt.

We were quite looking forward to trying a new restaurant. It was nothing like we expected after reading so many good reviews! We weren’t made aware on booking that the groupon menu would be very limited to what we could order. We paid for a family of four although there was only 3 of us. The drinks were tiny and portions of food small. There was a mix up with our dishes and I ended up having an extremely spicy meal which I couldn’t eat. We were extremely uncomfortable with the whole situation and were so glad we hadn’t asked any friends to join us. Maybe I’m being picky now but no table cloths! Same utensils for both courses!! A papadom crunched up in a basket! Very disappointed 😔

We went out to eat as a family of four, two adults and two children. The staff were very nice and the food was fabulous! It was clean and the kids were given lollies when we left. I will be going back there soon.

We went this evening with my family and decided to invite some friends along. We arrived at the restaurant at a rebooked time. The restaurant was not very busy and we was granted by a young lady eventually who took us to our seats then left, After a while a few more people came in the restaurant and the young lady came over to great them and spent a few minutes giving the menu. Still we hadn’t been served or offered drinks and it was now 20 minutes in so we asked if we could have drinks and what was on the menu that was included in our voucher. The lady didn’t really know but then took advise and then she advised there was only a few items we could select even thought it wasn’t mentioned in the voucher. We was disappointed but thought we wouldn’t find something and proceed to order. Another 10 minutes passed and still no drinks but the couple next to us was complaining that the drinks they ordered was not correct. I decided to wait while the lady sorted this out and then asked where our drinks were as at had now been nearly 30 minutes. I looked over to the other waiters who were trying to pull the pints but was sieving the excess out with a spoon that looked like it was used for cooking! After a while the drinks eventually arrived and the daughter noticed there was as all food over her can off Pepsi and further no ice was in any of the glasses provided. At this point my misses was very annoyed we still hadn’t had any starters and the restaurant had started to get busier. After 40 minutes we decided to ask where the papadoms where so my missed went up to ask. The lady didn’t have a clue and there was no understanding of what was going on.My missed noticed how there was all dirty pots pilled up and it was clear they just didn’t have the staff to deal with this. We decided to leave and just paid for our drinks. On the way out we noticed the couple next to us had there popadoms just one each! The staff clearly didn’t know how to run this restaurant and we are glad we left when we did. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody it was shocking all round

If you are looking for a place where the chef is the owner and is actively involved in cooking everyday in kitchen, then this is the place. Radhe chef cooks with immense passion. The Chicken lemon grass Kebab was the star on the table. Great marinations and cooking.

I was staying in Cheadle on business and popped in to this restaurant. I have to say it was an absolutely wonderful meal. I asked the chef for a recommendation and he came back with an exquisite chicken dish (chettinad). Succulent chicken cooked in a thick sauce, perfectly spiced with just the right amount of heat. He also added a daal on side which too was excellent. When they gave me the bill it was ridiculously cheap for such great food.

Vedaa ran a 'Curry night' this Tuesday which the four of us attended. The menu was a fixed one, but featured dishes that would suit most people. The food is excellent and the staff cannot do enough for you, willing and enthusiastic to help and the chefs too will assist where they can. I cannot recommend this place enough. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

I don't know why I have never noticed this place before. I went with my 2 sisters on a Wednesday evening 7ish. The place was empty and felt a little chilly. We were soon warmed by a lovely greeting and the heating turned up. The service was excellent. We ordered beers and also brought water. We ordered 3 starters whilst we pondered the main menue. The garlic naan was the best ever. We were advised to only order 1 and ask for the second later so it wwaould be freshly baked. What a great idea. The food was so fresh. I often avoid sauses as they upset my tummy but I couldn't resist the ruby chicken...... And no after affects. It was delicious. I have booked again tonight as my partner feels he should try this gem of a place I have been raving about. There are plenty of parking places in the village. It is 60p for two hours but free after 6 pm. You must try it.

I am very lucky that I live in walking distance of Veeda. Radhey the chef creates dishes and flavours better than anyone I can think off. We have 5 good Indian restaurants in Cheadle and Veeda is by far the best. All the staff are very friendly and always make you feel welcome. The menu has just been revamped to include more veggie options including the sumptuous Dhal Bukkhara and more Lamb dishes. You won't be disappointed.

Although I have previously reviewed this restaurant, I felt the need to comment on some recent great changes that have occurred. Firstly, there is a new and fabulous extended menu. Many of the previous dishes remain, but now there are some great additions. Slow-cooked lamb shank - Hariyali Sea Bream - Prawn Koliwada & Karahi dishes to mention but a few. The bar area has been redesigned and a well-priced comprehensive range of cocktails and spirits is now available. The wine selection is still a little limited, although we enjoyed the new white wine on offer. I'd like to see a few red wines added to the list - but I'm sure this will soon happen. With the new restaurant design and every table booked, I was pleased I'd not only made a table reservation, but also put my name on one of those lamb-shanks - soooo good. This restaurant never disappoints serving excellent 'true' Indian cuisine with super friendly staff that are always so hospitable.

This is my favourite "true" Indian restaurant. Each dish is individual and offers such great flavour. All the staff are super friendly, and it's always nice to chat about the meal with Chef Radhey at the end of the night.

My new favourite Indian restaurant. I kind of want to keep this place to myself and not let everyone know how good it is but, I also want Vedaa to succeed. The food is excellent. I've been 4 times so far and it never fails to impress. The restaurant itself is fairly basic but don't be fooled as the food most definitely isn't.

This is an exceptional Indian featuring non typical dishes. We were blown away with the quality of the food and the myriad of flavours. Our Indian food loving friend declared it the best he had eaten in a long time. The restaurant itself is pretty basic but it does the job. The service is friendly and although inexperienced, willing and helpful. This is now my favourite Indian restaurant. Excellent.

After a couple of beers in Cheadle went for a meal with four friends at this fairly new addition to the High Street. What an absolute joy. Not only was the food amazing, the waiting staff were so pleasant and polite and then the owner came out to have a chat with us at the end of our evening. A especially nice touch was the little complementary dishes sent out from the kitchen, will definitely be ordering the Ghobi 65 (crispy fried cauliflower) next time. Poppadoms, starters, main course, rice, naan breads and a few large Cobras cam to less than £30 a head. Very reasonable given the quality of the dishes and service. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Will be back very soon.

Vedaa is the place to go if you want to taste real Indian cuisine. The flavours are individual, vibrant, exciting and above all, most satisfying to the palate. I have eaten here on several occasions and have never been anything but delighted with the quality of the food. Chef Radhey Bhardwaj cooks with a true passion which is reflected in all his culinary dishes. The menu is very well priced for the great quality with a wide selection of starters and main dishes to suit everyone. This restaurant is new to Cheadle village, but is quickly gaining popularity. Situated right opposite the James Watts pub (perfect for pre drinks) it is a restaurant that I would certainly highly recommend.

Some call it fine dining ( we call it small portions). It’s not for us. We had to go elsewhere for a feed afterwards. Nice food but tiny portions. I did make a issue, yet the offer of a Baileys. Eeer. Not. Sorry won’t be visiting again

One of the worst takeaways to date. Absolutely gutted. After reading the reviews we thought there would be no issues. Here visiting for a few days and last min delivery order. The nan breads were horrendous…congealed mess stuffed into small foil bags. I’ve never seen such weight of a nan bread in one small bag. Such a shame we didn’t even want to eat them. The tandoori mixed grill was something from my local fish and chip shop not an Indian restaurant. Just be careful for takeaway as I’m sure eating in wouldn’t be as bad…but I’m just giving a heads up as 90% of my order is in the bin. Gutted
