Sorry to say our last visited. I'm disabled so gwt a bit flustered. The service was confused and rushed. So I ended up with food I didn't really want. Rather than a fuss I said I'd have the fish anyway. No big deal. The fish I however I found to be greasy. The table lay out I couldn't get my walker around easily. Overall a very disappointing visit. Good enough to eat but no not good enough to enjoy and certainly not go back.

Fish & Chips here are lovely, but the breakfasts are outstanding 11 items and a drink for £5.50! Aside from great value for money, food is fresh and piping hot. We attended with my Father who is veggie and the staff couldn't have been more helpful with substitutes for the bacon & sausage. Great place to eat when in Dudey, it's now our go to place for brekkie! Thanks Bird Cage for always looking after us!

went in first time yesterday....lovely freindly staff....roomy inside ,television on which is rare in cafes....started with a cuppa which hit the spot...then had sausage egg chips..great home done grub...and great price..really impressed with the place...good reason to visit dudley :)

Visiting Dudley with friends and fancied Brunch. The brunch we were served was far better quality and value for money than anywhere else. Hot food, plenty choice, clean surroundings and pleasant staff. Was very pleasantly surprised and would definately recommend to anyone. Food for all tastes and great prices!!!! Luke, the Boss, was extra helpful :)

Was on business in Dudley and between calls popped in here, was just expecting the usual Fish and Chips but was very much mistaken. Firstly thought I would have a steak pie only to find out it was a freshly made, mmmm, and you didn't have to have chips as they have potatos to and veg. Was absolutely delicious and would recommend to anyone.

Lovely food served, eat in or take away,friendly staff and good atmosphere, would highly recommend.👍🏻

We loved the proper gravy not instant rubbish, plenty food on the plate pie delicious and hot, readonably priced friendly lady served us and it was clean and tidy

This place has among the best fish and chips around portions are large and have a good batter texture on them.

The cafe in my opinion does the best fish and chips in town, the staff are fantastic and very helpful. There is plenty seating outside and inside highly recommended.

I was told about this chipshop by a work colleague so I visited here one lunch time at work, upon arrival while about to order my food I noticed 2 flys flying about in the hot cabinet where they keep the pies fish sausages ect, my advise would be steer clear of this place much better chip shops around the local area without flys on the food !!

With out a doubt the best cafe in dudley! The birdcage grill has been going for years which speaks for itself. Miles better than the museum fish and chips - and considerably better value. The food is always cooked fresh to order and the service is always with a smile. Can't wait to go back again for a cod and chips!

I've been visiting the bird cage grill for years! It's always been tasty and great value. Service is spot on and the restaurant is always clean and comfortable.

Me and my friends are regular eaters here and are never disappointed. No matter the time or day of our visits the food and service is always brilliant

The Bird cage Grill has been a great fish and chip shop since i was a kid...and there used to actually be a bird cage outside with parrots in it! In all those years i don't know if it's changed hands over the years but the food and service has always been very good. I've never had a bad fish and chips here in over 30 years.

Over the school holidays myself and daughter have gone to Luke's cafe and the first you notice when you walk through the door is how clean and professional looking the staff are. Which makes you think that if they take a pride in their look they take a pride in their job! No dirty tables as people leave the tables are cleaned ready for the next. Staff VERY polite and nothing to much trouble, if you have to wait you are asked to take a seat and the order will be brought to you Lots of people we have seen in there are regulars as you hear the staff speak to them by name asking how they etc. The FOOD well my daughter is very funny about what she eats and she LOVES it, a very GOOD choice of menu and size amount you want, and VERY REASONABLE . Seating inside and out if the weather is good and they always thank you for your custom and please call again if in area of course we will. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE

fantastic value for money ,this area seem's to have a lot of good food and drink outlets and is well worth a visit .birdcage grill is clean and tidy

I've been to the Bird Cage several times in the last year. It is a combination of a chippy and a cafe. Food is always hot and tasty and service friendly and fast. You would struggle to find better value for miles around. On my recent visit I had cod and chips and it was perfect with cod coming apart in big white flakes. They have rearranged the seating to a more conventional layout and there is extra space upstairs. Cheap and cheerful and better that you might expect

Have been using this chip shop for years and the food and service just gets better!!! Always hot food, reasonably priced and friendly clean surroundings. What else could you want??? EXCELLENT VALUE ***** THE BREAKFASTS ARE GREAT TOO!!!

I've always used this chip shop since I was a teenager, Saturday afternoons with friends chips and gravy absolutely beautiful, the best chip shop in Dudley only negative is one of the staff older women black hair always been a miserable old bag, still lovely food though

This fish and chip & shop as been going for years in Dudley, and i always have the home made meat pie, with chips and cabbage, sometimes mash and cabbage, this place is old school and i am glad the place is still open, with great food and friendly staff.

Bird Cage Grill, I've Always ate from here, and i have never had any problems, food is amazing, Staff are really Friendly i always tell friends and family about the food!

Birdcage grill has been there as long as I can remember! From a bag of chips on the way home on the D2 bus on Saturday shopping with my Mom, to lunch on Friday the quality and service has never changed. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is always hot and quality is great. There are always people at the tables eating. many elderly and most of them seem to be well known to the staff.

Really good and tasty, if you're looking for tasty and traditional its all here at this place been several times and can't fault it

No nonsense honest chip shop, fast and friendly service. I ordered jumbo sausage, chips with a choice of either chip shop or Chinese style curry sauce; large fish and chips; and jacket potato with cheese and beans. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we will be visiting again in the future.
