Mick and Jordan are great hosts and everything was kept very clean and a great atmosphere.

Cracking pub. You never get a bad pint thanks to Nick’s pride in serving a good pint. Love the friendly atmosphere. You get it that feeling as soon as you walk in. Wall paper music is great. Dog friendly too.

Good beer. Great service. Nice place to watch the scores come in on a Saturday

Went to the Monday night quiz. A good quiz with a modern twist as it's all done on a tablet to avoid cheating. Something to get used to and you need to be very quick with your answers as extra points are awarded to the first team to answer which doesn't seem quit fair to older slower minds. A nice atmosphere though with friendly staff and good beer selection.

Brilliant local pub.. Holden's brewery, so good real ale offerings... Always kept at top notch quality. Staff are great... Nick the landlord is a fantastic chap, all round friendly local. Just make sure you check opening times as tends to be open from 4sh onwards, so don't expect a lunchtime pint there. ;) Another amazing black country pub, courtesy of Holden's brewery. :)

Lovely traditional pub that offers excellent beers and where you are genuinely made to feel welcome. The landlord and his partner have done a brilliant job in rejuvenating The New Inn to be one of the very best around with a great friendly atmosphere. Live BT Sport available, but otherwise background music played at just the right level.Temporarily closing for a few weeks in Jan 2020 for refurb, but would heartily recommend for a future visit. Great job!

Great local pub. Pub snacks of cobs, pork pie and scotch eggs. Plus the landlord keeps a good pint. Just what you want for a drink without having to eat a meal in a pub.

Fuimos para un descuento del oír manguito para una comida con mi madre y mi padre (no) Black Country folk mi marido y yo dejar localmente. Y tuvimos una comida fantástica. Creemos que bajo la nueva administración es normalmente un lunes por la noche un menú limitado debido cocinar no estar en pero como ella era en la limpieza de la cocina, ella estaba más que dispuesto a ofrecer la opción de menú completo. Gran casa de comida recién preparada. Nada congelados. Hicieron el camino a ser cordón y mantequilla que mi marido pidió. La comida era realmente encantador y muy barato no estaba seguro de qué esperar visto como era barato, pero era increíble. La cerveza es de una cervecería local y nos pareció que estaba bien de precio teniendo en cuenta esto. Es un pequeño pub que sirve excelente comida y apoyo local en el proceso de fábrica. El personal del bar y cena cocina atento y muy acogedor. Ya tengo ganas de volver. Mi familia black realmente nos sentimos como en casa y el personal de lunes eran fantásticos.

Since this place has been taken under new management the interiors look much better (a much needed spruce up!) and they're serving decent food too. Staff are also friendly. Would be nice to see more business bought here so they can continue improving the premises and their menu.

Tenía hongos de ajo (fantástica) para plancha principal pedí bistec med/raro y era cocinado a la perfección, servido con patatas y ensalada.Mi pareja tuvo la parrillada mixta, era enorme y estaba perfectamente preparada.El personal es muy amable y servicial, lo que lo convierte en un cambio a ir a un sitio donde realmente disfrutar de lo que están haciendo.No sé que muchos de los comentarios negativos, yo personalmente nunca he tenido una mala comida aquí, pero supongo que todo el mundo tiene sus propios opionions, pero me gusta hacer mi propia.No escriba este lugar fuera antes de intentar la comida de los domingos, precioso.

Have been regular customers at this pub for a meal im very sorry to say that over the last few weeks the standard of thd meals has gone down,new chef and the meals areEven worse my wife left hers last w eek and my friends woifes chicken was still pink and raw definitely be giving it a miss from now on

My family and I fancied a Chinese takeaway but longed for one from a restaurant we had visited several times in the past and to my delight I found The New Inns on a food website. The food was piping hot on delivery and very reasonably priced. I was delighted with the service and food and will definatley use and recommend from now on.

Let start by saying, I was probably expecting a lot more from reading the previous reviews, that said the food let it self down on this and most likely our only visit.Not because the Hospitality, that was Very good. Friendly polite greeting, pleasant & prompt service made to feel welcome. Overall value was average at best though, £9 for 2 courses (starter and main in our case) fairly good, Quantity nothing wrong here either decent portion sizes enough to feel fed but not stuffed, it was the lack of Quality letting the side down that really hurt the overall rating. Starters 1x garlic mushrooms quite good wife ate all of it, 2x Soup of the day (Tomato) 1x good,1x bad. I ate it all but Bread was stale had to leave. daughter found lumps of tomato powder throughout, She left almost all of it and again the bread was stale.Mains 1x Chicken Dinner, 1 and half breasts of chicken both pieces reheated to the point of being dry on the outside (no skin) and slightly better in centre, gravy was lumpy with gravy granules throughout. 1x pork decent piece of pork not to bad but no crackling. 1x beef over cooked and a little tough but good thick slice which would have been good if it wasn't over done. Cauliflower & Peas (same for all meals) was watery like it had been boiled and left in the water all afternoon to keep warm(daughter liked it though), carrots (with skin left on, nothing wrong with that just didn't help visually) was dried on outer surface not pleasant to look at,looked like they needed to be washed, but cooked ok. Roasted potatoes was quite nice but overly peppered.from that we decided to skip desert and have cake at home.

Visit here was lovely. 'Proper' pub! Meals are cheap but quality is worth more. Due to allergies i asked for a change with an item on the menu and the staff made sure my meal was how i wanted it. Friendly staff and pub is full of friendly locals unlike some of the establishments in the area. Highly recommend!

Went to The New inn last week for a meal, had the fish in beer batter, it was crispy, tasty and well cooked, the chips were perfect and the peas great.All in all a fantastic meal at a good price. The atmosphere was as usual good and the service was excelent.I would recommend this Pub to anyone and especially the beer battered fish and chips.

My partner and I decided to try the restaurant at The New Inn and the steak meal was to die for and the peppercorn sauce was so tasty and complimented it so well. Unfortunately, we opted for the 2 for £12 fish n chip meal the following month - big mistake. The batter was so dark and there was a small pool of grease under it. There was more batter than fish and the fish meat tasted cheap and bland. The accompanying chips weren't quite cooked which left a revolting taste in my mouth so I left them. The only thing I enjoyed that evening was the garden peas and going home so won't be wasting our money there again in a hurry.

The person who has said the food was terrible MUST have been at another place, the food here has always been fresh, well cooked and wonderful. I had the fish in beer batter it was the best I have ever had.

Its all about good food, great ambience and if coursr value for money. Living just 1 mile away, we use this establishment very regularly.As a heads up, it is always best to book your place, to save being disappointed. The New Inn is a popular place, and gets very full at times.

Danny and Chris have done a good job introducing new meals to the menu. Desserts are to die for so please leave room after dinner

I have always said this in my opinion is the best pub in Coseley and I stand by that. The standards are extremely high so difficult to maintain the highest levels, well done to Jason, Dan and Chris in the kitchen and to All who make this an excellent place to be

I was also in the New Inn on Christmas Eve and can only say that the pork sandwiches were lovely, and contained plenty of pork and stuffing, I have dined here many many times and can assure ANYONE that the standard of food is excellent. The pub also puts on free bar snacks on Sunday lunch, which most people also enjoy.

Visited this place after hearing some great reports and i was very impressed. My parents and I had the 3 course Sunday lunch, amazingly priced at £8 each, outstanding value. Soup starters polished off by my parents while my mushroom starter was simply superb. Main course choices were steak, chicken, lamb or gammon. 2 of us had lamb the other gammon all served with excellently cooked veg of cabbage, broccoli, peas, roasted and mashed potato and yorkies with stuffing. We happily cleared all our plates! Dessert was a couple of lemon meringue pies and an apple crumble, again perfectly prepared. The 2 chefs were friendly and a credit to the place. A must try and a definite return. See you next month.

OMG what a gem this pub is. Hidden just off the Birmingham new road at Roseville, Coseley. We had a lovely meal, good service, very friendly staff. Meals are well priced and not the usual plastic food you get with some pubs offering value food. It was all freshly cooked. I had the fish where the chef makes his own beer batter and my husband had the home made steak & ale pie. Could not fault it. Anyone wanting a good meal with a great atmosphere give this place a try.

today was my 5th visit here since Alan took over today was for sunday lunch it was really good and reasonably priced fresh veg and plenty of meat plus all the trimmings, would recommend it to anyone, in the evenings the meals are always good with lots of homemade dishes, the two young chefs are certainly doing a good job and everyone is friendly and helpful.and for the smokers a great covered smoking area so no need to get wet.

Our favourite haunt is in good hand Alan having taken over from Helen & Jan. Good to see a landlord who has given the youth in the area a chance of employment and this boldness has certainly paid off. Dan & Chris - the chefs have done a fantastic job re-inventing the menu, specialities Beer Battered Cod and Liver & Onions are to die.............for.Having now digested many o the dishes on the menu I can say these are my two favourites.Can't wait for Al a Carte evening to launch Monday nights promises to be best menu and affordable prices so can't wait

Attended the New Inn for Alan's first foray into Sunday Lunches, it was awesome, all the veg was fresh, the meat was tende and plentiful and the lemon tart was to die for. My compliments to the two Chefs, and our thanks also go to the ladies who served our table, they were quick and friendly.All in all it was a first class dining experience and a top class meal, we will be back again and again.

Alan has finally taken over our favourite place in Coseley, Helene and Jan were an hard act to follow but Holdens appear to have got it right. Food is still excellent and Alan has managed to retain the best staff all boards well for the future

We bid a fond farewell to the most popular Land ladies in the West Midlands on Monday 1st April, 2013. Unfortunately Helene and Jan have decided to move on to run The Town Cafe in Halesowen and our loss is their gain.Hopefully Holden's Brewery will be very selective when they appoint the next tenants of The New Inn as they will need to maintain a very high standard of Hospitality and Cuisine as this Pub/Restaurant has built a fantastic reputation over the last 11 years.At the same time we also said farewell to June one of the nicest, popular and long serving members of staff who decided that this was the most appropriate time to retire.
